thank you sooo much for this presentation. I failed on my first attempt to create a tore down paper effect but it worked the second time. Love the video
Thank you for this great idea. Really nicely presented and no annoying background music during your explanation! I use Adobe Photoshop for a lot of my graphics and it is great to see PowerPoint's features being used so creatively. Excellent.
Sorry for any confusion. The 'Combine' tool would result in a gap where the two shapes overlap, which we don't want. The 'Union' tool which I used ignores any overlapping, and produces the shape without gaps.
Maravilloso!!!! Excelente!!! Muchísimas gracias por compartir su creatividad y su tiempo!! para mostrarnos algo tan útil para nosotros los docentes especialmente para mi que soy de la vieja escuela👏👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰
I've just found this and it's great! Thanks so much! It has helped with my Interior Design PowerPoint presentation, keep up the good work, I need to learn so much!
Thank you so much for this and the paint splatter videos. I use power point instead of photoshop and I LOVE these tutorials that show how to modify static images in powerpoint. I really appreciate these two videos, please do more like this. I would love to see some on using more of the tools in the drawing part of power point!!!
This is awesome! I've wanted to know how to make torn edges on papers and this does the trick! I didn't realize Power Point could do so many things. I am starting the process of making digital printables and papers and don't have Photoshop, so am learning how to do different things in different free programs. This vidoe, plus the one on paint splashes, is INVALUABLE to me as couldn't find the technique in Canva or ipiccy. Would love more on how to work in Power Point for paper effects.
Click on the first shape, then hold down the Shift key and click on the others. Then let go of Shift and carefully right-click on the edge of one of the selected shapes and go to Group.
thank you, i learnt so many different techniques in the video!

At 7:30 you used the phrase “We need to combine the shapes” . There is a combine option but you chose union . Is there a difference?

This was very informative! Thank you! I am still using version Microsoft 10. Will it work in that older version?
