Hello, I don't know where in the US you are from, but there is a famous Brazilian restaurant in Orlando called Camila's where you can try typical Brazilian food. There are also supermarkets that sell our products in the US.
You should absolutely try to make brigadeiro! It's so easy, and you can eat it straight out of the pan if you don't wanna wait to do the extra step of rolling!
Some corrections... No these foods are not the most popular here in Brazil. Most of them are so linked to their regions that most of the coutry folk never experienced them. I by myself I'm from Sao Paulo and I did eat "tapioca" once in a bakery (it is a northest food). And Açai I just tasted in ice cream form blended with guarana and pupuia (all produced by big companies like Unilever). THe Acaraje is not only specific from Bahia state sea border, but rarely to be found elsewhere. Our barbicue and picanha steak and our feijoada (black beans moisture) are the only "real brazilians traditional food" showed. Moqueca (that one with the shrimps) is comom in restaurants specially along our coast, but unusued to be prepared in our dayly life. And brigadeiro, coxinha, and pastels are a kind of our "junk food" just like your donuts, wafers, doughnuts, buns and stuffs llike that... And the same way full of colesterol and unhealthy. Our true daily food is rice, beans (usually cooked with water, a bit of soy oil, salt, garlic, onion, tomatoes and some pepper), a salad with lettuce and tomatoes spiced with some lemon or vinager, some vegetables like carrot, eggplant, or any other, and some steak that usually changes through the week (if bull, chicken, pork, fish, or even chicken eggs cooked or fried).Basically we eat the same thing in lunch or dinner. In breakfast we usually drink milk with cofee or chocolate, and eat bread with butter. Its rare eat something out of these moments in a healthy life. For sure we also have pizzas, hamburguers, hot dogs and other stuffs, but it is really not common to eat these kind of food everyday.
Minas Gerais- Brasil 🇧🇷
açai is in my top 2 favorite desserts lol the top 1 for me would be pavé but on a daily basis it would be much easier for me to eat açai because for me the sale of açai here in Brazil is on par or even surpasses the sale of ice cream
Brazilian food is soooo goood. I'm missing so much Pastel from São Paulo Pizza from São Paulo Churrasco (picanha and etc) from Rio Grande do Sul X Burger (Cheese Burger) from Rio Grande do Sul Feijoada -> this is not something a foreigner would imagine it tastes so good, it's different comparing to just beans in US Coxinha Pão de Queijo Mousse de Maracujá (Passion Fruit Mousse) and so many more Trust me, these are Gems
You guys could try some snacks from Brazil, they are not hard to find in the US, it would be a good video. Like: Guaraná Antarctica, Paçoca, Brigadeiro, Açaí Bowl, Coxinha, Sonho de Valsa Chocolate or Ouro Branco Chocolate, Pastel, Pão de Queijo & etc.
Im from São Paulo, so, for me, brigadeiro (I make a delicious one, my own recipe), Coxinha and Pastel... I though feel sorry, cos the video hadnt show a lot, only 10, its hard to pick, but food from Minas Gerais, like "tutu mineiro", pão de queijo, and some others I know from junina parties here in São Paulo (there are junina parties all over Brasil, in june, so "junina", and the food varies a lot from region to region) like Espetinhos, Quentão (is a drink, this one) and canjica, also... well, In São Paulo, Hot dogs and Pizzas are the best in the world... also the burgers here are awesome. Also Vaca Atolada is amazing, and Picadinho de Carne. In south of country, Churrasco, in niorth and northeast, wow.... loooots of things to try. But Minas, torresmo, pururuca, the chicken they do there is AMAZING, rice and bean of theirs are out of this world... and so many other things... Thanks for the reaction, I liked a lot.
I'm from brazil, would like to correct something. The moqueca's ingredients are pretty accurate, but it's actually layered onions, bell peppers, tomatoes and fish, wich are cooked in low heat with the sauce in a special kind of pan.
The meat in feijoada are very smoked bits (sausage, bacon, paio...), but also contains the least consumed parts of the pig, like the ears, feet... Thehere's a lot of people that don't eat those in the stew, but it is very important for the right flavour
When i was a kid i didn't like beans either so in feijoada i only ate the meat and the broth lol. It is an extremely tasty food to not eat even if it has beans, if you have the opportunity to try it, don't miss it.
To be honest the recipes you saw was more of a American way to cook some of these dishes. We don't use much butter like that. Normally we use more vegetable oil
our beans are not the same flavor as the American ones, they seem a little sweet in America, here they are not completely salty, they are another dish. Many Americans have this fear but it is not similar.
you probably don’t like beans because in the US you usually buy them canned, those are awful indeed, those baked canned beans are outrageous 😭 beans are great when cooked right
1:38 That's NOT açaí. The real açaí comes from the North of Brazil, more specifically from the state of Pará, where the real açaí is consumed with shrimp, fried fish, tapioca flour... It's not this bad mix that the South and Southeast "invented".

Shoot! We live too far from that, but I think there may be a Brazilian food place where we live... hopefully, the food looks so yummy
the feijoada and acarajé in the video are poorly made
Coxinha, pastel, Brigadeiro e picanha are the best.

probably it is an A.I. voice, so much so that she said like "coshinya" at first, but then she says like "coksin ha" just after that
