In some capoeira rodas, especially in Brazilian capoeira, the absence of strikes can occur for various reasons depending on the style, the context, and the understanding between the participants. Style of Play: Capoeira Angola: Slower and Symbolic Play: Capoeira Angola, one of the oldest traditions in capoeira, is characterized by a slower game with movements closer to the ground. The focus is on malícia (cunning), theatricality, and body expression. In many Capoeira Angola rodas, players may choose a more symbolic game without actually applying strikes. The goal is to showcase skill and control without necessarily hitting the opponent. However, even in this style, there are moments when capoeiristas opt for a technical and expressive game, avoiding effective strikes. This may happen especially in rodas where the focus is on technical development or demonstrating skills in a controlled manner. 2. Context of the Roda: Exhibition Rodas: Safety and Aesthetics: In rodas held for the public or in exhibition contexts, capoeiristas may avoid strikes to keep the roda safe and highlight the beauty and fluidity of the movements. This also helps create an environment that is accessible to everyone, including beginners and spectators. In this context, capoeiristas may choose to practice movements in a controlled manner, without intending to hit the opponent, but rather to improve their skill and understanding of the game. 3. Respect and Tradition: Mutual Respect: Avoiding Injuries: In some rodas, there is a tacit or explicit agreement to avoid strikes to maintain respect between players and prevent injuries. Especially in Capoeira Angola rodas, the game may start slowly and playfully, and only later, depending on the energy of the roda, strikes might be introduced. Tradition and Ritual: Maintaining Harmony: Capoeira has a strong tradition of maintaining harmony and respect within the roda. When Strikes Are Used: Increased Intensity: As the game becomes more intense or competitive, capoeiristas may start to introduce strikes. Testing Skill: Strikes can be used to test the opponent's skill and response. Breaking Rhythm: A strike may be used to break the rhythm of the game, forcing the opponent to change their strategy. Challenge: In some rodas, a capoeirista may challenge another with a strike, especially if they feel the game is becoming "lukewarm" or too predictable. Self-Defense: If a capoeirista feels threatened or that the game is becoming dangerous, they may use strikes to protect themselves. In summary, the presence or absence of strikes in a capoeira roda depends on many factors, including the style of capoeira, the context of the roda, the level of respect and understanding between the players, and the intention behind the game.
Don’t take it so seriously. Some north Americans just lack self-judgment, that’s all! In Canada you might see big mooses walking down the streets and they are very dangerous, but people in other countries say: “Wow, that’s amazing!”, so Canadians buy it and get proud. The same happens with many animals in the US (normally homo sapiens fighting because of racism or cause someone offended them on traffic). I’m Romanian and live in Brazil. In my country it is normal to see huge bears on the lane and people give food to them. That is fine! Anyplace close to nature will have it.

As someone who lives relatively close to Iguazu Falls, it's a sight to behold. Truly a marvel of nature. I wholeheartedly invite you to visit it. A place that's highly neglected by tourists when coming to our country it is the central region and south of Brazil. We have much more than beautiful beaches and places like São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. To get a good idea, you'd probably need to stay a few months to properly visit our country. That's just how vast Brazil is.
A tip for those who want to visit the Iguaçu Falls, on the Argentine side it is less busy and is even cheaper. You can go for a bus ride for 1 dollar, cross the “friendship bridge” and pass through the Argentine border, which is very easy. (The last time I crossed that Argentine border, the metal detectors were either turned off or broken, and they seem not to care 😂) Just a heads up that our Argentines neighbors like to receive money in reais or dollars and return the change in their currency, which is useless but nice to keep as a souvenir. I'm Brazilian, btw
Dont worry too much about Anaconda lol. Its name here is Sucuri, theres also another snake like her but a little smaller, Jibóia (it has a english name too, but I dont recall), but as you saw on the road crossing video they are REALLY slow on land. So the people got out the cars to come close, photograph, etc... given a safe distance, of course. Anaconda is REALLY fast on rivers, though, excelent swimmers, but on land nope. They strategy to hunt on land is that they climb a tree and stay on top of it, on branches, and if something pass under it, they drop, and only the weight, the fall, etc, may kill the victim already. Since Onças Pintada (jaguar) uses the smae strategy sometimes, Onças can hunt the anacondas. Anaxcondas are only commom on Pantanal and Amazon area, where those crossings are, and very rare everywhere else. (Theres another cool animal though, look for it later LOL, jacaré-açú, it is teh biggest crocodile on world, as adult it reache 2 meters long.. and keep growing as it age, it may go to 6 meters or more, 600 kg or more, it looks like a dinossaur, but they are only find nowadays on Madeira river, and under extinction threath 😞 )
Foz do Iguaçu was supposed to be the second largest! In the past, before they built the Itaipú hydroelectric plant, which is also in Foz do Iguaçu, there was a place called 7 falls which was much more beautiful than Foz do Iguaçu, but due to the Itaipú dam, the 7 falls were flooded, getting lost in the river. forgetfulness.
I lived nearby the "World's Largest Cashew Tree" for over 20 years. It became so big because of a mutation that allows it to have more than one root, so you can see that there are multiple spots that it comes out from the ground.
21:40 I understand that the snake's size is scary, but usually, the venomous snakes are the small ones, the big ones don't have venom, since they don't need it to hunt their food.
regarding capoeira. as it was created by slaves to disguise as a dance during the slavery, they don't mean to hit each other during the presentations, but at some point in history, capoeira was forbiden because slavers noticed it was actually a fight and slaves had to hide their practice. about willing to hit each other during the performance, usually they keep enough distance to perform the moves without risking their colleagues. but being able to dodge the blows is also part of the technique and brings the flow for the presentation, so ideally the athletes would throw their blows in a distance that would hit the other but trusting that their colleagues are skilled enough to dodge it. there are some performances that have more contact and are actual fights but they're not so common if you don't feel bad about seeing people being knocked out, there are many examples of fighters that brought capoeira moves to the ring/octagon and performed flashy movie style knockouts. capoeira is fantastic
I live in Brasil like 25years never seen a snake or a monkey in the streets, on my first trip to florida I saw a python and severall crocodiles on a highway, and it was cool and wild.
I recommend you to watch brazilian movies. Central do Brasil it's my favourite that starts in Rio de Janeiro that's where i live. It's an old movie some things has changed but still it catches the personality of the brazilians, like their scams and their way to survive.
I live in Brazil and NEVER saw snakes crossing the street. And unfortunately, if it happens somewhere in Brazil, people most probably will NOT help them. I wish they did. But I can surely say I’ve seen people helping ducks cross the street (even in the middle of the city I live on). I’ve seen people helping capybaras as well, or even little monkeys (both of them in more rural areas or near parks). I HAVE NEVER SEEN BUFFALOS THOUGH. EVER. I’m laughing so much 😂

2 things... 1 - Anacondas Crossing streets isn't routine, it may happen if you drive through some roads on the north of Brazil that are close to the Amazon, or even in the region of Pantanal, but i know for a fact that this animals like to live near rivers, having them crossing streets isn't routine! 2 - "Insano" water slide with 41m isn't the tallest, the "Kilimanjaro" Water Slide has 49,9m and was recognized by the Guiness Book as the Tallest Water Slide in 2013, don't know if still is, but probably there is a bigger one somewhere... they say you reach almost the same speed in both of them, i can only testify for "Kilimanjaro" because i have seen it up close and it's really fast, going up the platform i remember you could choose to go by stairs or literally wall climb to the top.

Hello girls, first I was very happy to see two young women doing a very interesting work, discovering new territories around the world. Now Brazil is too big, for you to have an idea, if you take alaska from your map, Brazil is bigger than the United States. That’s 'the anoconda only exists in a northern part of Brazil. Other information, we are 220 million in population, the vast majority lives near the beach. south we have three states, which in the last 150 years were inhabited by Germans, Polish Italians, and Portuguese, this makes the population of the region be predominantly light in color. It is just an information to enrich your knowledge about the largest country of Latin America and the 5th largest country in the world. God bless them.
I live in Brazil and I am Brazilian in the state of Ceará And for here the 15 Curiosity not its true For here but I know that its true in others Status of brasil😁
Finding animals like this is not a routine across the country, because the country is very large and the vegetation changes, changing the species found in each place. But in fact, in some places it is common, but don't expect to go to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo and find a giant snake crossing the road 😂
What you've seen is not even 1% of the wonders that exist in Brazil, believe me. Even if you live here and were born here, if you live here for 70 years traveling every month, you won't know everything.
In a country with continental dimensions, of course many things happen, just like in the United States, Russia, China, Canada, gigantic countries. But this doesn't only happen in Brazil. I saw giant anacondas in the Everglades National Park in Florida, as well as huge alligators.
"Are they trying to hit each other" - Well, that question is the whole "why" capoeira exists. Waaaay back in the days of slavery, slaves came with this "dance" to hide the fight technique from their owners. The owners woult ask the very same question and the slaves would just reply that it was just a dance.
Also, we are the cauntry with the bigest rate on ligthnings ocurrances by year. I you came to Brasil, please dont go walk during rains. XD Oh and btw, its Brasil with "s". I realy dont know why the whole world write with "z" our cauntry name. Ahaha. Well, actually i know: in português, "s" a lot of times have sound of "z", is because of that probably.

Don’t take it so seriously. Some north Americans just lack self-judgment, that’s all! In Canada you might see big moouses walking down the streets and they are very dangerous, but people in other countries say: “Wow, that’s amazing!”, so Canadians buy it and get proud and the same happens with many animals in the US (normally homo sapiens fighting because of racism or cause someone offended them on traffic). I’m Romanian and live in Brazil. In my country it is normal to see huge bears on the lane and people give food to them. That is fine! Anyplace close to nature will have it. Despite this, I only think that the video that these girls used simply selected some unimportant curiosities as they are much better things to see (only carnival and capoeira that were really indispensable). However, I think that also the images and the information given to each topic were not the best ones (capoeira have such fenomenal scenes on the internet and even envolving moments of real fighting and carnival have much better images too). I Love Brazil. They defenitely didn't give the best impression in the video. Not blame of the girls but of content used as reference.
You do love Brazil! Thanks, girls!
They're just farming views with the most populated countries bro 😂 Videos abt Brazil, Indonesia, India...

Here in Brazil, cows are sacred for barbecue purposes, but they are not religiously sacred. Brazil is a Christian country, with a little over 50% Catholics. I really like your reactions. Congratulations on your channel.
Brasil é LAICO. Independente da quantidade de pessoas de uma religião.
Our country don't have an official religion, and it defends that all religions can be practiced and MUST be respected.
@@missjackson8634já ia comentar isso...
@@missjackson8634 Yes, it is true. But what I was referring to with that is that Brazil does not have any religious formation based on Hinduism. And that the basic religious formation of Brazil is Christian. My comment was because the girls talked about cows being sacred and people stopping their cars for the holidays to pass by.
My brother almost flew off the Insano slide when we were kids cause he sat up just before it flattens out. The sidewalls weren't always that tall either lol. Beach Park is fun!!

I'd like to see you girls doing the capoeira !
Let's see how you dance with all those kicks and punches.!

(The last time I crossed that Argentine border, the metal detectors were either turned off or broken, and they seem not to care 😂)
Just a heads up that our Argentines neighbors like to receive money in reais or dollars and return the change in their currency, which is useless but nice to keep as a souvenir.

Trust me, "Feijoada" is really good! It might not look tasteful, but it is :)

21:40 I understand that the snake's size is scary, but usually, the venomous snakes are the small ones, the big ones don't have venom, since they don't need it to hunt their food.

regarding capoeira. as it was created by slaves to disguise as a dance during the slavery, they don't mean to hit each other during the presentations, but at some point in history, capoeira was forbiden because slavers noticed it was actually a fight and slaves had to hide their practice.
about willing to hit each other during the performance, usually they keep enough distance to perform the moves without risking their colleagues. but being able to dodge the blows is also part of the technique and brings the flow for the presentation, so ideally the athletes would throw their blows in a distance that would hit the other but trusting that their colleagues are skilled enough to dodge it. there are some performances that have more contact and are actual fights but they're not so common
if you don't feel bad about seeing people being knocked out, there are many examples of fighters that brought capoeira moves to the ring/octagon and performed flashy movie style knockouts. capoeira is fantastic
8:02 Seems like Dothraki with their horses.

In the states of Paraná and São Paulo has the largest colony Joponesa in the world.
It is very rare (difficult to see) a snake in the road
brazilian here, few of thoses facts are true in specifics places, the anaconda on the north region for example, but where i live we doesnt have snakes that size. And we are not fitness obcessed, we face challenges with overweight like everywhere else. But is good to see some content about my country
Other information, we are 220 million in population, the vast majority lives near the beach. south we have three states, which in the last 150 years were inhabited by Germans, Polish Italians, and Portuguese, this makes the population
of the region be predominantly light in color. It is just an information to enrich your knowledge about the largest country of Latin America and the 5th largest country in the world. God bless them.
Hi
80% das florestas DO Brasil estão como quando Cabral chegou aqui.

Essas cobras enormes são reincidentes em cachoeiras, lagos e rios no Brasil. Existem muito maiores que essa! 😎🇧🇷
Finding animals like this is not a routine across the country, because the country is very large and the vegetation changes, changing the species found in each place. But in fact, in some places it is common, but don't expect to go to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo and find a giant snake crossing the road 😂
Em & Ash, Bealtful. I would like to see your reaction to Brasilian's songs;🎵 Ex.: GETSÊMANI (Leonardo Gonçalves). Tk U.❤️🙏🏼
What you've seen is not even 1% of the wonders that exist in Brazil, believe me. Even if you live here and were born here, if you live here for 70 years traveling every month, you won't know everything.

1:38 I'm from Brazil and have visited many capitals inside the country... But I never saw an anaconda. If it happens, I think it's a rare phenomenon.
XD
Oh and btw, its Brasil with "s". I realy dont know why the whole world write with "z" our cauntry name. Ahaha. Well, actually i know: in português, "s" a lot of times have sound of "z", is because of that probably.
For the record Brazilian are also Americans. Brazil is in south America, and United States is in North America

I have driven extensively all over Brazil, and have never come across any anacondas, even off road. I only saw anacondas n a Sao Paulo (huge city) snake farm that is like a zoo for snakes.
