Thank you, i was looking for a video like this. The problem is 99% are focused on the katana. I am trying to use this technique to decorate other objects such as pens and cigar tubes. I just needed a starting point since, obviously, after the first step, i can use the standard katana technique. So tha ks a lot.
in arifureta the manga the sword had a purple ribbon tied around the handle which was an off place it was not shown in the anime so I just decided to put it on the saga just to give the whole sword a unique look with the blade not being the only part worked on 😅
Aigh! Now following the steps, imma go buy double faced tape aaaand get to it! The cord has been cut to more or less the length described in the video and once I come back it's sageo time :D
Thanks for this. I have seen sageo used to carry on the back over one shoulder. How would you tie this or how long would it need to be? I am helping my daughter with her cosplay and she needs to carry katana all day walking miles at a con.
@@FubarKen if the left waist 88 inch long for traditional knot like the video. On the back might need 10 or more if tied over the shoulder and waist like sekiro. Look for images online at how he has a red cord holding the red katana on his back ;)
Hey! had a quick question before i started, how long was your sageo? because i have one that's 4 meters long and im not sure if i should cut it in half to have 2 of 2 meters, since i've read out there that they're usually 2 meters long or something like that. (now i realise i asked this on a short completely unrelated to this video and since i wasnt finding it i thoiught i didnt send it correctly, sorry for asking two times)
@@JorgulPro what I used were both 42 inches then I sewn together making it 84 inch which I thinks I good that way there is enough left over of the cord to be reused again :)

Cosplaying looks so fun.
Very fun making or buying our own cosplay and props plus going to conventions for the merchandise 😊

Important note make sure to burn the sageo ribbon once you cut it. If not it will fray apart

Messed up with the tape :D be right back
Also I really want to do atomic samurai’s new sun blade but the real color is not or may never be revealed 😢

Candle wax could be a more traditional solution.
@@RayWhiteMMA is that like gluing ?
@ hot wax when it cools will fix the materials together like glue but it’s not permanent.

@touyprops1528 okay yeah then I definitely went overboard coz I got like 157 inches of cord xD thanks btw.
@@JorgulPro plenty of reusable left over then :)
@@JorgulPro hi just hoping the video was helpful for your sageo tying project ?
@touyprops1528 Hey! I'll be working on it this week! I'll update on how it's going if you want :D
I may try today in fact.
