Hmm that is not exactly what I meant but love the video. I will be manually trowleing on plastic to create a more realistic free form rock, like a cave. I think these people will be applying wood or drywall and not cement board so I was concerned about it absorbing water and warping or cracking later. I didn't wanna do just cement because of the limited room and depth
I definitely don't recommend trying to adhere plaster to wood. That stuff will not only absorb moisture but also warp and bend causing the plaster to delaminate and fall off
So......? You just repeated my statement. I know the board will warp and absorb moisture if I use cement board what type of plaster and sealer would you apply for rough trowel and jagged rocked shapes on the wall?
Thank you for the awesome content! We are originally manufacturing thin clay bricks, but we decided to start making white (no coloring) plaster bricks since we are recieving a lot of requests. The issue is that when they start to dry, yellowish stains start to appear. Has anyone faced similar issue? It may be an issue with how we are drying them, since the place is hot and very wet. Thank you!
@@izzbern1140 Yes, we experimented a lot and talked with different manufacturers. The issue seems to be that some manufacturers extract the gypsum from areas with not so good quality and it can sometimes contain other minerals which are giving this yellowish color. My suggestion is to change the manufacturer or talk with them to send you the best quality they have.
You wouldn't want to adhere load bearing materials to drywall, attach backer boards to your beams to ensure the wall doesn't fall over and injure somebody. Watch this video- ruclips.net/video/klF9c4yz1VI/видео.html
Hi Vlad, Very good video! This "Plaster of Paris" dont have. Can i use "Model Gypsum" with the same method? This product dont need to use vibration table? All the best
Thanks! You definitely can use it, but it might be more expensive than plaster. A vibration table is always recommended, and it works even faster with plaster than it does with concrete
Plaster is never reccomended for showers as it is extremely porous and retains moisture like a sponge. You will have mold in weeks. Instead, use microtek- globmarble.com/micro-topping-trutop.html and apply a food safe sealer on it- globmarble.com/concrete-countertop-sealer-xs-327-gloss-matte.html
Could you please give me a few brands of construction adhesive that will work well with plaster stones? I just want to use something known to work. Thank you so much, Rachael
You can, but we recommend using daviscolor pigments like in the video. It will make your concrete and plaster stronger than using water based pigments.

i'm g=having trouble coloring certain parts of the molds, like i want to do what you did mix the oxides with water and brush them on the surface of the molds to get a natural color but the results were not so good i tried mixing the oxide with water and ciment and it worked but it takes too long for me to paint many molds that way can you please help me
There really isn't any faster methods, but the most common are coloring the mold like I did in this video, and coloring the stones once they are already installed onto the wall. you could see how I did that in this video- ruclips.net/video/-0Soi8eSdXw/видео.html
Thatnk you for replying and i did try it several times with water and oxydes and it's working for now but i don't spray mold release I will try it withe the mold release and see if it works
If you are mixing concrete you must use a release agent, because you will completely destroy your mold otherwise. Also our release agent helps remove bubbles from the stone surface. Here is a link to it- globmarble.com/concrete-release-agent-g-1.html
I am using white ciment and i will take your advice and use mold release I have a request please if you can give me a link to any social media you have so that i can send you some of my work I'm a begginer and just now you gave me a great advice thank you

Plaster should be dried in a very dry environment. Usually, people have a curing room with a dehumidifier constantly running. Maybe that is the issue
@@GlobMarble We will try using another room for them. I'll give an update. Thank you for the fast reply and the fantastic content!

I could not use this as an exterior ledge cap for stone veneer? The plaster I mean.
No, plaster of Paris is not recommended for outdoors. It deteriorates with weather very quickly.

No release is needed when using plaster??!?
Some plasters do not require release, but we recommend using some anyways for the longevity of the molds :)
so only horizontal glued at chimney
How much plaster was used outta that 25lb bag to fill that whole mold?

What the material you add with plaster
When?
