    It is much and it is honest work. I have never done the work, but I come from farming families on both sides. My grandfathers and grandmothers were hard working folks. I miss them.

    Fall of 2021, I planted 36 bulbs of garlic, thinking it would get me through to harvest time 2023. It wasn't even close. Last fall I doubled that and added 24 heads of 'Elephant' garlic.
    Things are looking very good as of this post, but I'm still concerned I won't have enough.
    I never realized I go through so much garlic!

    I had 3 brothers and they never once lifted a finger when we were kids working in the garden. I think that work helped make me a very good person throughout my whole life. When I retired, they were just relatives and not family to me. It's their choice. I love seeing a family work together to get the jobs done. I'm not bragging but in retirement, they still rent and I own my home and 3 rental properties. They really blew their youth and never saved so much as a dime.

      You acquired the right attitude for success in life. As a kid I had many chores on the farm to do, and my half-brothers got off a bit easier. Today I have my own farm and still doing chores. The difference being I own it the 120 head of cattle and the tractors, while my brothers are all townies. Maybe if I had a choice as a kid I would have watched more TV, but I sure am glad to have my own place today at 65, and those chores are part of my hobby.

    Farmers are the most important people on the planet people will say doctors are or scientists but without farmers growing food for everybody then nobody would have the time to learn how to be a doctor or a scientist they would be too busy growing their own food so because of farmers like you work your butts off everyone else can focus on their interests in life and I just think that’s amazing I also think farmers should be paid more than doctors honestly because they are more important than doctors they’re even more important than celebrities or sports players

    You guys need to invest in underground irrigation for your farm that way you could use 1/4 of the water you’re using now you wouldn’t need to leave your water on for four solid hours you could water for one hour and since everything is underground it’s going straight to the roots like you want

    Hey Logan looks like yawl need rain as well. Get you a Maono WM820 wireless microphone and you can plug into your GoPro. It's really helped Rochelle and I with our sound. Last year we planted garlic for the first time in 10 years and I can't get the bulbs to grow big here in the south. Any suggestions? We are going to plant elephant garlic this December and give it a try. Your pond is getting low, I hope you get some rain soon. Rochelle and I will put your family on our daily prayer list. God Bless you and your family. Mike

      @BroyansFarm  2 года назад +1

      Thank you!! The main thing is getting it in on time depending on your seasons, and fertilizing. Everything is different in the south than it is up here, so as long as you do that it should work out. Hopefully you guys are getting some rain down there! God bless, you both are in my prayers also. Logan

    I would make some sand bags to support your irrigation pipes. They would be easier to setup and way more stable than blocks or rocks. Very interesting video. How many acres of vegetables, fruits and flowers do you farm?

    How many varieties of garlic do you grow? We have grown many different varieties and found that the hard neck is best on our sandy loom soil in NJ. What are your thoughts? (Twenty Pines Farm).

    • @BroyansFarm
      @BroyansFarm  Год назад +1

      We do two different varieties of garlic. For our soil is pretty rocky, so that is much different than the sandy soil. The varieties we do are Italian purple, and German White. Thanks for watching!!

    • @fiorevitola880
      @fiorevitola880 Год назад +1

      @@BroyansFarm I also do the same variety with good results in our soil, and we amend every season with hairy vetch also. We also Sudan grass we also make our own mulch.

    I love Garlic, I grow them every year.
    Your Garlic is looking good, it’s not ideal to water them before picking but can understand why you are doing it. You will need to leave it outside on the tray to dry out the Garlic before putting in ahead for storage.
    Please show us the harvesting of the Garlic with the machine, it would be great to see and the Garlic as well.
