I don’t throw away seasoning packs. I use seasoning packs to season other dishes.
Ooh good idea 💡.
I make “Poor Man’s Stroganoff” with beef ramen - a pound of ground beef cooked and seasoned, cook a couple packs of noodles - drain most of the liquid - add seasoning pack, a little extra beef bouillon, sour cream - mix in beef and top with green onions- DELISH!
That BLOWS MY MIND -- I've got to try that one soon!!! Thanks much! ❤
Great idea!
I’m just saying Steven is such a good food reviewer. He describes the meal to such an extent that I can almost taste it. Keep up the good work Steven. Thank you Mandy these are great recipes. I’ll try them both soon.
My daughter was just starting to cook Ramen when I saw this. I rescued half of the noodles and we tried a comparison of your recipe vs. standard flavor packet. Honestly, they cooked in almost the same time. My 11 yr old admitted that yours tasted great.
Woo hoo!! Great idea! Glad that worked out!
What a cool Mom u are! I love that u are teaching her at such a young age. Do u guys watch Master Chef Jr? It's so inspiring to see little people master the kitchen! Way to go Heather! 🥰👏👏👏
I love you guys. You’re always so cheerful and you’re great at teaching us how to follow the recipe. I had a giggle when you asked Steven if Asian food was his favourite. I thought “food is Steven’s favourite.” I love his enthusiasm and his willingness to try new recipes. You both are a delight. I also enjoy seeing Cole and hearing his reviews.
😅😂🤣
Canned chicken or canned roast beef are quick and easy protein for ramen. So glad you are doing better. Y'all are such a beautiful addition to the day.
I love Asian food. I use coconut amino for low sodium diet. I use brown sugar and a splash of rice vingar. I am going to add this to my meal prep this week and add shrimp.
I make a version of lo mein using ramen noodles. Sauteed shrimp, thin sliced steak and chicken. I saute onions and coleslaw mix. Add everything together and I add in just enough soy sauce to coat.
U are a cook after my own heart, Vicky! Sounds delish! ❤
I think Steven should do a takeover episode and cook something.
Great ideas to upgrade Ramen Noodles! Thank you so much, Mandy. It's great to see Steven cooking away there with you. Steven, you describe food and It's almost like I can smell and taste it. Hope you have a great week. We sure do appreciate the joy you bring into our kitchens!❤😊
I hadn’t actually thought about ditching the flavor packet and making my own sauce. THANKS!
Love how you guys do your cooking and meals, plus the comments from the commentator and son is great... I wish my husband would have been like Steven for sure... He appreciates his and your cooking I love it... Your two are a great couple.. thank you for the video.... God bless y'all and thank you for being you.... 🙏❤️❤️🥰
And thank YOU for being here and being so kind ❤️
I, too love the CommonTater, Cole's and Gracie Lou's additions!!! 💙💙🐈
Asian & Mexican are my go to dishes.
I love Ramen. I usually add an egg, and it cooks so like it is poached and add leftover meat, usually chicken. I just use the flavor packet that comes with it.
For the first recipe; if you want the noodles to be saucier, add a little water after mixing the noodles back into the pan because the hot noodles will soak up any liquid in the sauce like a sponge.
Great tip, thanks!!
Hi Mandy. I’m all for upgrading Ramen. Thanks for sharing my friend! 🤗💕
I can't wait to make both recipes. I have all of the ingredients. I made your blueberry bread on Sunday. It was a huge hit. Tonight, I'm making the Velveeta Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese. I can't wait. I've made many of your recipes, and they've been a big hit. Thank you for all of the economical, great tasting recipes that you and Steven give us. All 3 of you are a ray of sunshine.
Oh I'm so glad to hear this! I'm thankful for you and it makes my heart happy to know I can be of help!!
I had ramen last night and tried a new way to prepare it using peanut butter and the flavor packet. It was really good.
My former coworkers told me I eat and make weird food, but they have no problem eating peanut dishes at the Asia buffet.
Ok Mandy, now ur cookin in my wheelhouse! I have a great add in idea to balance the tart: add 2 Tbsp Peanut Butter & finish it with chopped Peanuts & drizzled Coconut Milk & u will grab more Thai flavors into the whole mix. I think a soft boiled egg, & some crunchy raw Coleslaw Mix or if u can find them Bean Sprouts. Ooh, almost forgot, thinly sliced radishes for peppery crunch & that gorgeous pink color. I don't boil the noodles bc they just need a couple minutes of warm water to hydrate & the sauce is hot so that will heat them back up. If u don't want to do a soft boiled egg, then soft scrambled egg is delightful & would coat the noodles with a silky texture. When making plain ramen, it's delish to wisk in a scrambled egg but it's best to temper it to the heat or u will get coagulated chunks of egg. I use this egg technique in the Creamy Chicken Ramen - ooh so good & hearty for when ur tummy needs a rest but still fill it with a good protein. In my Creamy Chicken, I add more water than is required since the sodium is so high & turn it into more than 1 meal.
Mandy, this is going the extra mile in showing care & consideration for poor folks like me; u are so kind & considerate! Thank u for these wonderful recipes! ❤
I can never flip veggies like that. Steven I'm amazed! These recipes both look like quick meals to try.
Both look great! Can’t beat Ramen noodles!! ❤❤
All you need is some yum yum sauce and sweet carrots! I know its not Japanese, but I could drink that stuff as Steven says! Lol! Thanks for sharing y'all! ❤️
Ooh I'm definitely making those teriyaki noodles. I love hearing you say oil, it sounds much different up here in Indiana ❤️
Hi! I made the Teriyaki noodles tonight but I wanted to make it into a full meal. So I browned a pound of hamburger, used two packets of noodles and added peas and a can of water chestnuts. We loved it! Thank you for the wonderful recipes!!
takes this old woman back to college lol...thanks. I still love ramen. I actually have a cookbook for cooking ramen. I passed it to my grandson.
All of that looks beautiful, the teriyaki would be wonderful with some chicken/steak, all three of you guys have such a wonderful dynamic and I love watching you!
I’ve gotten so I double my sauce on any Asian dish and it is never too much.
I'm always looking for creative recipes using ramen noodles. Thank you for these two.
I love Ramon noodles. I used to eat them all the time. Almost every day.
I never use the seasoning packet. Too Salty!! I love your video!! I, too, add fresh or frozen veggies and usually a Sriracha sauce.
I have a good Asian coleslaw recipe with ramen noodles
Thank you for sharing these recipes. Both looked delicious. God bless you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏❤
Please tell me kitty is sleeping somewhere. Can't believe she wasn't in the kitchen.
She sleeps soooooo much. She's 20 and really starting to slow down a lot. 😞
Well, these dishes had no cheese!
Exactly what I was going to say😆@@TruthTroubadour-xi9cc
I think it's beautiful that the comment about Gracie got the most likes! She's one special kitty. ❤❤❤
I just heard her meowing
I love making stir fry ramen. I like to cook minced garlic in some oil on low until it’s golden brown. It gets nice and crunchy and is so good in the stirfry…
What a brilliant idea, thanks!
This looks delicious I can hardly wait to make them thank you guys
When using really sticky ingredients, like honey, spray the measuring spoon with a little oil and the sticky ingredient will slide off the spoon easily.
I like Roman noodles too, but I never use the little package either. Looked good.
Thanks Chef Steven 😋😋😁😁😁
I use the ramen and one packet seasoning for spaghetti with meat sauce. Delicious
Mr. Yoshida at Walmart is good teriyaki sauce without all the fuss!
We rarely do Ramen! It's the thing we do when we are sick and canned soup we are just over! And the things extra I've done it use broth instead of water , add a protein! I see future me upgrading more ty lol
We love Ramen in our house too. Cheap and delicious!
I've also made a chicken and broccoli ramen, and a beef and broccoli ramen.
Both recipes look delicious. I know you like to use prepared garlic and ginger, but for those who like using fresh, I've found a way to chop both easily. After you peel the garlic and gingerroot, put them in a mini food processor and whirl away. It's perfect.
That teriyaki Ramen looks killer. I bet it would be amazing with sliced onion.
I love the way you say boil
Looks good. With the honey, if using a metal spoon. Let the spoon go into the hot liquid, it will soften the honey and let it flow off easier.
Yumm! I never use the flavor packet, just make my own version of it, with some veggies and a medium boiled egg. Sometimes i top it of with fried unions or sesame seeds.
Ooh great idea, Sesame Seeds are high in iron too! Thanks!
Love the second one I don't like spicy but a good way to use left over veggies
That's a brilliant idea! ❤
You guys make my day!
Hiya Mandy and family! Proud I found y’all!
Lol I wont that y’all ain’t right shirt! Haha
True story - my guilty pleasure is the Spicy shrimp ramen in the cups. I add soy sauce, fish sauce and hot chili oil. I'd eat it over a steak 😄
All thats missing are flames lit on fire ... WOW, u like it HOT! 🔥
These look great! You may have better luck with the noodles not getting sticky if you save a cup of pasta water and pour on at the same time you mix all together. It works great
Great tip, thanks!
I use the flavor pack and a bouillon cube but this is over the top😁🤙🏻
I do the chicken one. I scramble a couple of eggs and cook in boiling h2o 1st. Scoop them out and add the noodles and season pack. Add parsley and the eggs back in. That way you have protein with ur carbs.
Good job finding the recipe Steven..Mandy taught you great things to do👏thanks for the great ideas
We love Ramen! Thanks for the new ideas!!
I Make beef and broccoli and use ramen with it. So good ❤️
Nice hacks for a night you just have nothing else you feel like cooking. They both look tasty in a pinch. (Can also add a cooked egg(s), or crack some eggs in while cooking.
You mentioned the vinegar was tart. I love to put pinapple juice in teriyaki. It gives sweetness with a brightness that makes it not need vinegar and it needs way less sugar or honey.
Fun tip, if you go to the Asian market (if you have one) you can buy just the noodles without the seasoning.
For a fraction of the price too! The smells in some Asian stores is intense, my daughter used to want to strip her coat & sweaters off so the smells wouldn't cling to her when she left ... even in the dead of winter! 🤭🤣
If you spray your spoon with a spritz of oil before you put your honey on it, it slides off super easy!
Can't go wrong with these simple dinner ideas.😋 I wish I had time tonight to make the teriyaki ramen but my 17 yr old daughter is graduating high school 🎉🙂
Congratulations to your graduate.
@@MrsAlmaTrumble thank you sweet friend ❤️
@@lisahoward1969 you're welcome, friend. Most of our graduations are on Friday. I've never heard of one being on a Tuesday.
@@MrsAlmaTrumble I know ..I don't understand why they are doing it on a Tuesday. My other 3 past graduates were on a Friday or Saturday. .
@@lisahoward1969 things that make you say hmm?!
Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Save yourself some time n use the chili flavor Ramen. I add bagged grilled chicken and green onions. It's plenty spicy and very good
Just found your channel. I love it!!
Great ideas girl. And simple ❤
Love your videos. My wife and I watch them weekly. Love your kitty and how you and hubby play.
ive been needing these, i cant find many recipes. That disnt include the packet which I dont want to use so ty.
Y’all need to go to Korea. That good is absolutely amazing. Lots of good food. We’ve been to other Asian countries and the food is always great but we really enjoyed Korea.
We would love that! Steven's aunt is Korean and she makes the BEST food!!
Easy peasy & yum yum
You can buy plain noodles (not that brand) in a 12 pack, from Costco.
I taught my son how to make his own Ramen meals.
I absolutely love those pans!!!
I like adding cheese to my ramen and maybe some veggies and extra seasonings
Sounds Yummy! Thanks Mandy.
Definitely trying these!
Loved both of these! I'm definitely adding both of these to my repertoire. 😋😋
Those look so good! I can't wait to make them !!😊
Love all these ideas
Easy and sound delicious. Thanks Mandy! Love your channel
I had to put your video on hold right quick so I could go make myself some ramen for lunch 😂. I copied recipe #1, kinda sorta. Tasted pretty good actually. I need to add green onions to my shopping list for next time!
Every time I pick up a package of ramen..I think of back packing..
Thankx for the recipes ❤❤
Nice to know that you have a back up in Stephen if you want to take a break. He should do a solo video! These look good, although too spicy for me! 😄❣️
They all look easy & delicious
It's not just good, it's gone! Lol
Love your videos
We just love watching you all! I actually made your lemon garlic asparagus from your Easter video. YUM!! Watching the Ramen video, I make something similar to the Asian flavored one, but with ground beef added.
P.S. LOVE your floral knives. Would love to know where you got them?
Thank you.
Love y’all! Thanks for these vegan and vegetarian friendly recipes!!
Don't throw the seasoning packs away. They make a great addition to things like a pasta salad or a slow cooker roast.
Or Turkey Burgers.
@@sandybowman7140 Great idea! Definitely trying it, thanks.
@@karibear6504 Definitely don't use super lean Turkey for hamburgers & maybe fine chopped onion to keep moisture in them. When doing them in a pan, I always add butter to baste it & helps caramelize the meat. Doesn't butter make everything better?!!
Awesome video ❤
Looks yummy
Yum!!!!
These both look delicious a must try. Thank you
I always forget to buy ramen since it’s not something I want very often, but I’d definitely try these. Also, I have the same amber cookie jar that you have on your hutch. It was my mother’s, and has homemade molasses cookies in it right now.❤
Delicious recipe 😋😊
I love ramen,I need to try your versions 😋
Go Steven! He is so cool! These ramen dishes are the boom! Yes with that fish sauce! Keep up with your wonderful yummy recipes! WOOT!
I was watching the video of yours with the jalapeno plant...FYI... Jalapenos that are aged with the dried stripes or red colors are hotter than the solid green ones...
All looked really good! Thanks for sharing.. Happy Tuesday!
GOOD GOLLY! These look like a WONDERFUL improvement!!!! Thanks for these ideas! :)
