I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.

When going to their websites, I like how the furniture costs MORE than the items people are likely to hide in it. The criminal would be more interested in stealing the entire piece of furniture if they knew.
I'd just buy premade regular furniture and alter it myself with hand tools. Much cheaper.

I really enjoyed seeing all the low tech options, especially the furniture with hidey-holes in them. The chest of drawers with the back hiding space accessed from the side was quite clever. For my own needs, I loved the clock and plan to hit Amazon to see what designs are available.
However, I feel the majority of the high tech options are impractical, easily spotted and/or more about status than useful solutions. Also, those attic stairs are only a steel and spring version of the wooden folding stairs that have been in use since at least 1892, so not really modern or sophisticated, just more industrial-looking (and harder and more expensive to fix once broken).
    Overall, an entertaining video.

Some of them were undisputably cool, but most were not practical, or realistic for most humans... Those that were realistic and practical tended to be not the best designs, especially when it came to concealed storage.
If you want to see some great solutions, check out what some tiny-house-owners did, and what some modern Japanese furniture can do.
    Some examples:
    a) a 4.5 Tami niche with gigantic drawers underneath and the ability to have a fireplace in the middle, or just a flat surface, big enough for a table with at least 4 people sitting, or a bed for two. Some of them could store away the collapsible table, the pillows for sitting, and the futton bed inside the wall giving access to a 9x9ft surface.
    b) Genkan step having a huge drawer for all sorts of shoes. A genkan is traditionally a transitional space between the heated home and the outside and it's the place where you discard your wet and dirty attire before entering the actual home.
    c) Stairs with drawers and a wardrobe
In general, I'm a big fan of inventions that allow to save space and allow to repurpose a space quickly. For instance, that garbage bin sinking into the ground, or having a pool that can be covered so that you can repurpose the surface when it's too cold to swim. A well-made set of stairs that can vanish into the wall or ceiling is also worth a lot compared to the rubbish attic ladders...

I saw a kitchen cabinet with a false interior.
The shelves and the inside walls of the cabinet were like a dumb-waiter; raise them up and reveal a short 'tunnel'!
It didn't lead anywhere fun; it was an alternate route to rec-room and could be opened from either side.
    Short-cut for Movie-night snacks.

The image showed a boy climbing out of the stairs. I am disappointed that I didn't get to see the one thing I came to see.

Most of them have magnets to hold them shut. My nephew had a secret closet behind a paneled wall like that. You couldn't tell it was there and you sure couldn't open it. He also made a desk that housed his weapons. Couldn't open any of it with the magnet key.
