  • RNZ Investigative Journalist Guyon Espiner interviews leader of the National Party Christopher Luxon. He was Unilever’s Vice President of Deodorant for North America. Now he wants to be Prime Minister of New Zealand. He’s a former brand manager, rebranding the National Party. He’s a reluctant fundamentalist with huge wealth and a poverty of Parliamentary experience. He’s Christopher Mark Luxon. But he’s probably not the man you think he is.

So poverty isn't modern slavery that Luxon what's to address.
LoL Air NZ ethical, he forgets the Saudi Navy contract.
He thinks he is not for more privatisation of state assists.
Luxxon supports inequality and rejects taxing the 1%
As for the NZ poor, he wants them to be rich but has not policy there and national history was the stick and carrot.

When you hear the national lady with the social development portfolio talk about winz, she goes on about addressing the persons issues with the end goal being a job. They either misunderstand the complexity, or alot of people will be forced into situations that arent going work for them and suffer when it doesnt work out. Imo :3

Regardless of what his faith is, i couldn't care less tbh, but its worrying to have someone with such open conservative religion in politics. If we respected ourselves we'd outlaw such people in politics in favour of some slightly more rationally minded types

You have to take in to consideration he is still very new at this politics game. I think 🤔 he is handling it the best he can given his obvious lack of experience in national politics. Sure, he has plenty of business experience which I admire. But in business you don't generally have bottom feeders from the media following you around everywhere looking to turn anything you say, do into a meme. Mentioned on news sites or used as a joke by late night talk show hosts in the USA. Politics has gone that way unfortunately.
