Oh that photo of the momiji corrider was stellar! Looks much better early morning than midday like when we went 😂 Now I'm excited to edit my footage from here too!
Aw man I was there literally yesterday. 'moody' was the nice way to describe it. This morning though, amazing. Rain overnight (so snow for the mountain) and blue skies. I only had time for a morning in fujiyoshida and not enough time to make another trip back to the lake :(
Reppin FamiChiki supremacy. Great views man ✨ Planning to do a first sunrise shoot around the five lakes pretty soon, and really getting some serious inspo from your shots. Cheers
Hi, I understand that this video isn't recent and was posted around mid-December 2022. Please, would you mind sharing when you were there? I'm planning a trip to Japan for late November to early December, and it would be helpful to know if these conditions are typical for that time of year. Thank you!
Very cool video ! Keep up the good work man ! Anyway, I just bought the 35mm GMaster lens. Wonder if this focal length is good for landscape photography. Just want to know your thoughts on this matter hahaha
The wide shoot of the fuji with the drone is just magic ! I've noticed in the video that you shoot with different cameras (with different lenses), is there a particular reason for switching (lenses ? settings ? any other things ?)
I love your videos, Pat. Bought both your books which I religiously referred to in my 3 trips to Japan and for my upcoming fourth. But in a couple of videos I’ve noticed you subtly bash on tourists. Don’t forget, you were a tourist there too (I’m aware you live there now). Being a photographer doesn’t entitle you to a more exclusive access to a location. Let everyone live and enjoy their time too. 😊
Hi Pat I just have a question , looking to stay for 2nights at Kawaguchiko next autumn in November. Not much budget (100-150 per night) accomodation available now, is it too early to book
For the last 5 years or so, I've not really done any landscape photography, I've pretty much been absorbed into shooting Portrait stuff (mostly studio). So, whenever I end up in the countryside (Okutama, Takao, Tanzawa range, Kawaguchiko etc), I end up going full "Walter Mitty : ruclips.net/video/JfjkiTB1fHQ/видео.html : Just being there, enjoying the scene. ", and not taking photos. BUT, my !!! That drone footage. That's sparked something. Even if I never take the footage I shot and put onto social media..... ; to actually go and see it via the drone footage live. Thanks Pat. Got a serious case of G.A.S now 😂
Great timing! I just arrived at Lake Kawaguchi. Can’t wait to get up early for sunrise. I also have your Japan guide which is very helpful.
Dream conditions! Lovely shots man. Can’t wait to be there my self fall 2023
Even through RUclips Fuji looks so menacingly beautiful. Gigantic holy crap
This was so nice and the pics and footage were so awesome! Thanks for bringing us along!

Enjoyed landscape - great shots
That Fujiyama drone sequence! That alone made the whole day worth it. Sometimes photography is like that 😅

I heard that the ukiyo-e painter Hokusaisan painted 36 views of mt fuji...I think this will be a good subject for a video series
