- New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick said he told both Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe to be ready to play against the Chicago Bears last night. Jones got the start, but quickly was replaced by Zappe early in the second quarter after he threw an interception. Belichick said the interception did not have anything to do with the benching. Zappe led the team to two quick touchdowns to take the lead but followed it up with two interceptions in the 33-14 loss. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe recap last nights game and the Pats two QB system.

Fields finally showed his skillset in a gameplan suited to his strengths. Hope he finishes the year strong
No doubt loved that effort from J.Feilds

These are the best moments on this show. When they aren't yelling and arguing but just talking sports back and forth. The yelling and arguing is fine sometimes but honestly I just enjoy hearing two knowledgeable sports minds just discuss things smoothly
Me too sometimes I just want to hear them talk sports. I get its a debate show. But they tell each other more than anything at this point
Right when they not talking about they bias opinions
Honestly, it’s only when they’re not talking about a Cooper Rush led Cowboys, Tom Brady, or when KD looks bad, because Skip just gets so irrational and search for anything and everything to have a point on a bad point.

I'm sayin bro. They hella disrespectful as a Bears fan. We just dropped 33 points as a offense averaging 15 a game. Defense was dominant against both QBs

The comeback defenses have made this year and the regression of the passing game in the NFL has been greatly underrated. This season is the lowest scoring season since 2009 and has the lowest average TD scored since 2006. Also the running game. This season has the highest rushing average since 1988, that's crazy we literally haven't seen a year quite like this in over 30 years. Running is king again and defenses control the game outside of maybe 2 teams. This is a very different season then we're used too and I'm here for it tbh. This is as competitive and unpredictable as the NFL has ever been. The only thing we really know is that the Bills are the best team, but with so many great defenses it's no telling who will win the Super Bowl. Defense wins championships.
The only teams still dominating with passing offense are the Bills, Chiefs, and Bengals. I'm curious how much the season's touchdowns are affected by how abysmal some team's offenses are, though. There are 9 teams that have 18 or fewer points per game right now. Teams like Denver and Indy are definitely dragging down the average.
@@tenebrisdumplin4583 yeah
It’s a good thing. There calling less pass interference and letting em play on the outside that’s why. This the type football I like. They letting em play and be physical I love it nomore bail out pass interference calls.
@@8thyoutube486 I thought I was the only one who’s enjoying this… even if my team is the one getting P.I’d and the refs don’t call it I’m still for it. They lettin defense play now more than the past years
It's really never changed. Teams that could run the ball won more than they lost. It's always been that way. Sure there are games where a team runs for nothing and wins. But more times than not the team that runs for more wins the game. Buffalo bets KC because they ran the football. It showed KC they had to defend something else. Look at the box scores week after week. Any year you what to look up. The teams that out rush the other team wins most of the time. You are controlling the clock. The defends just can't pin their ears back. They have to think you could run. You don't have to run but the defends has to make sure you aren't. It gives the QB the split second more to throw when they are throwing. You get play action. The best thing to make any QB better. I don't care what QB it is. QBs love play action. Big plays from the passing game and control the defense with the run. You will win more times than not. Been that way forever. It's never really changed.
Ummm...Brady plays in Tampa Bay now and the game was between the Bears and Patriots. This is a good time to give Justin Fields his credit for putting together a statement win, or so we thought...
I like the way you put Justin Fields in headline, then take nothing but Patriots.
Mac is never going to forget the booing and chants the fans made, I was there and it was pretty sad felt bad for him
factss that killed his confidence this year
Despite the headline, this whole thing was about the 2 Patriots qbs.
"Zappe hour didn't last very long. As a matter of fact, they didn't even charge cover". Now it's time to return to the Mac". - Unc
Props to the bears, fields plays really well pats night and young struggling qbs tend to struggle in New England.
Fields running reminds me of Marcus Allen. Just smooth and quick.
Beyond proud of my bears for putting on a show On NATIONAL television. Fields looks amazing and I’ve never not believed in him , has potential to be one of the best dual- threat QBS in the league no doubt in my mind . We need to surround him with better WR talent and better o lineman . Luckily we have 115$ million in cap space this up-incoming off-season and a first round pick . TOPS STATISTICALLY SINCE THEY STARTED KEEPING STATS ON THIS CATEGORY. IF YOU WATCHED THE GAME , THE PATRIOTS LINEMAN LIVED IN THE BACK FIELD.... HE SPENT THE NIGHT ESCAPING PRESSURE... WHEN HE HAS TIME, HE IS AN EXCELLENT POCKET PASSER...YOU WILL SEE. WHEN THE LINE GETS STABILIZED.....
Justin Fields gets no credit huh😂 all tha blame when they lose even tho he prolly playing behind tha worst Oline in tha league. He had time to actually throw tha ball last night & delivered some nice balls plus them running tha ball like that helped a lot but it won’t be like that every game. Justin out there fighting for his life every game but it’s nice to see him actually play QB last night.
Justin fields should get lots of credit because he actually played good it was like a whole new team last night I was blown away it was awesome lol
They acting like Zappe played so bad, but in reality it wasn't the worst game ever sometimes picks happen he's thrown 5 TD to 3 INT while Mac has thrown 2 TD to 5 INT and Zappe is 2-0 in his starts I honestly would continue to go with Zappe unless he really starts to play bad
My biggest concern for Zappe in that game was the defense seemed to key in on his height (he's only 6'1"). Only one of those interceptions was his fault, and it came when they were going to lose anyhow and had to keep trying to make stuff happen. The other one was a tipped ball, and it does seem like he had a bit of trouble seeing over his line and may be staring down his receivers a bit. I still think he has a higher ceiling than Jones. Jones kind of sucks.
The video title says Justin fields leads Bears, but I don't think I heard his name once in the whole video lol
The media was rooting for the Patriots
I may be biased, but I've always believed it was more Brady than Bill for the success in NE. Coaches have always said, take away Brady & Bill's just another guy. Let's also end the talk that Bill would've won just as many superbowls with Rogers or another quarterback

Why are they talking about the patriots? When NO ONE was expecting this Chicag Bears upset of the Pats.
"If you have 2 QBs, you have none."
That is a 100% rule.
But I will point out the exception that proves the rule: Montana & Young on the 49ers.
Belichek is no fool. How many Patriot quarterbacks are starting for other teams right now and/or are backups? Brady, Jones/Zappe, Brissett, Garoppolo, 13% of NFL starting QBs. Not too shabby.
I think Bellichick saw a young and not so good 2-4 Bears team with a young quarterback who he thought he could experiment with by playing both quarterbacks and it backfired. That's what happens when you underestimate your opponent and treat a regular season game like a preseason game.
who knew Fields was really good when all his receiving options weren't 15+ yards down the field lmao
😂😂😂😂😂
This reminds me of the time during the mid-80s, when my EAGLES tried to do Ron Jaworski for 1st and 2nd downs, then bring in Randall Cunningham when it was 3rd and 27 -- because Jaworski the SACK MAGNET, had all the mobility of the Liberty Bell.

But Belichick said he can win a Superbowl without Brady... Bill it's not looking good
Fields looked fantastic and decisive. I love Bill B, but this is the most head scratching decision he’s made. Nobody seems to be talking about the fact that Mac had missed several weeks AND didn’t practice last week leading into the game. Of course he was gonna have rust, then, also, the fact that that int he threw was a ridiculous play and catch by the defender.
Why is no one except for Peyton Manning talking about the unsportsmanlike conduct of Mac Jones when he kicked the defender in the nuts? Last season he tried to injure the knee of one defender with a Gator Roll.
This kid ceiling is superbowl if surrounded with legitimate wr n some talent around the guy

Funny… I clicked on the tab that said chicago bears but all I heard about was the patriots, Tom Brady and Bill Belichek
I actually love the episodes where they don’t talk about Brady, Rodgers, Lakers/Lebron, KD, the Cowboys, etc.
That 2021 Super Bowl win for Brady would have been the perfect mic drop to Bellichek and perfect cap to a legendary career. He's staying too long and everything for Brady is suffering professionally and personally.
Driving #12 in the fast lane all those years, where the living was easy, and the coaching was even easier, Belichick, for 20 odd years, never had to think about his QB's or the offense in general. All he really had to do was coach the defense. Now, he's got no clue on how to coach an offense. Complacency has reared its ugly head and has got Belichick at a loss of control... His once shining star fades by the day!
Brady dropped the ball against Eli in the first Super Bowl. Man scored 14 points against a team that was like 9-7. Putting that on Belichick is honestly absurd. Also, Tom has NO CAREER without Bill. Nobody wanted Tom. That’s just as fact

Idk if any of you guys listen to the bill Simmons podcast but this is so satisfying considering just last week he was talking about the then 3-3 pats as contenders and that they reminded him of the 2001 patriots team. He was calling mac the best player from his draft last year. Mac jones and Zappe are backups. I think the young quarterbacks in the nfl today that start only make that more and more clear.
Chicago can be a playoff team if they had play just like that yesterday
Takes like these from Skip are why it’s tough for me to stomach all the credit that Brady gets. He’s obviously been an amazing, AMAZING QB, but the idea that he deserves 75% of the credit for the Pats’ dynasty when he started out as a game manager, with the defense leading the way? And Vinatieri finishing multiple big playoff games (including 2 Super Bowls) with clutch kicks?
Does anyone remember Brady’s last Super Bowl with the Pats, when the Rams shut him down but the Pats’ defense was even more dominant and won the day? Brady was mostly brilliant in New England, but, to act like Belichick was just along for the ride-after he eased Brady in with pretty much everything a young, un-athletic QB could ask for-is nonsense.
rams didn't shut him down ,no heroics{Brady excels in those} needed.Brady also led the offense to 42 against chargers and 37 agasinst kc. belichik is a perennial loser without Brady with 72 and 83 record 1 playoff win and 2 blowout loses

@@petersydow4002 Brady completed 21/35 passes for 262 yards, 0 touchdowns, and an INT in a game that his team won 13-3.
