No offence mate, but you don't want an R1 as your first bike.
You've probably had or will have people telling you this. Because I like many speak from experience.
This bike isn't called the Widow Maker for nothing. An R1 will chew you up and spit you out for breakfast.
At least find a track where there are bikes and they offer a pillion ride around a race track. It will scare the crap out of you.
I've done 160mph on a blackbird and a hayabusa, you need to have big balls to be able to control something like that.
I now have a Suzuki Bandit 600 which is great beginner bike actually, it's very forgiving and cheap to repair. The bandit can still do 0 - 60 in under 4 seconds. I crashed it two years ago at 80mph, now I have two smashed virtibrae in my back and lots of back pain. Imagine crashing an R1 at like 160mph. You'll simply die.
The only difference a litre bike makes (R1, ZX10R, Fireblade, Busa etc) is the top speed.
Be careful when you get your licence in a few years.
@@PrinceAndrewFucksKidsRider of 7 years here. Agreed, fully. Here in the UK the tests are extremely difficult for this reason, so youngers don't kill themselves in the first week. I started on a 125, moved to a 600, had many other 600's then eventually got an MT-10. The MT-10 to this day still catches me out. These bikes are not to be messed with
@@1bigboi_629 yeah I passed my mod 2 in llandrindod wells on my bandit maybe 5 years ago. I thought a hayabusa was a good first bike. I was taken pillion on a busa once, they are scary as fuck, anyone who tells you different is a liar tbh.
Unfortunately OP speaks from the side of he hasn't even sat on a big bike yet, let alone a 600 or something, because I used to think like this.
Hey OP you should go and look on RUclips for the 300kmh zx10r highway crash, that's what can happen on a big bike if you piss arse around lol.
