We have one from the same producer at our cabin. We have not managed to destroy anything for more than 40 years. Norwegian quality this. Happy New Year from Norway!
I want to see their reaction at the shop 😅😅😅 This was so funny seeing you guys destroying ... well TRYING to destroy an undestructible boat! See you soon!
You guy have come so fucking far in all the episodes with Sarinda etc. You deserve the accolades you will get. Notwithstanding Sarinda that appalls me and uplifts me in equal measure, you are both Sisyphus triumphant and a testament to the human spirit under insuperable odds.
Aside from its strength, I actually like it simply for its looks! That was a fun video to watch!! Not as much as fun as the pair of you had trying to destroy it I imagine! If a tsunami was heading my way and I had too little time to escape, I think I'd rather climb into this boat (as it sits on the trailer in the driveway) and take my chances as it would probably endure being hit by all of the debris that a tsunami will bring with it as it comes onto land. We had three tsunami alerts this year, none of which were in any way significant or destructive, but sooner or later 'the' one will hit. So a potential escape route is always in the back of one's mind.
I had a good chuckle throughout this video. Thanks guys. It almost became freestyle boating when Simon did those grinds along the rock wall underneath the bridge. 🤣Hope you have a bit of a break from the boat work and come back just as strong for 2025. Really appreciate your videos and the time you spend to share it with us. Cheers from Australia.
Poly boats are almost indestructible, they benefit from a Urethane keel guard for a bit of ablative cladding but there's nothing tougher. Sea Storm make some of the best p[ollys, they are not cheap but they are worth it, they are a step up from most others of the type.
A little bit of fun and games but what a craft Excel should give it to you as a tender for Sarinder. have a nice and safe new year and we see you in 2025 Barry and Traci
Insane craft, hammer blows were just bouncing off!! those barnacled surfaces would have destroyed mostly any other materials. Anyone watching your antics would have been flabbergasted. Such a fun video, it'll take some "beating".
Come on Simon, you've got plenty of tools in the workshop that could've made more of a mark on that Sea Storm - multi-tool, band saw, nail gun, welder,...! Great fun though, and another great video!
The purple colour is probably iron and manganese content in the rock. When it weathers i typically goes different shades of purple - often in layers. Geologist in Australia having a guess there.
Must be a similar construction to my Smartwave..in their promo video they drop it from a crane onto a concrete surface the saw the transom off with some guys on board and it still floats !
Find a little lake, round one would be best. Get 10 of these. Outfit them with a cage around the engine and driver rent them by the hour for 'team building" 'bumper boating. Really work out the anger issues.
uh, no you can't borrow my dinghy. You can't borrow the car, or the electric tools. Comes to think of it unless I'm doing demolition, it might be better if I visit you 🙂
There was a commercial about Boston Whalers, where the guy was standing in one of those boats with a chain saw, he cut the boat in half, and it didn't sink.
Your absolutely correct.. That was the montock series of Boston whalers, and you could cut it in half, and drag the bow home with the stern. The main difference is the whaler is a traditional gel coat fiberglass over a SOLID foam inner core... They are solid.. Like punch one, your gonna break your hand. And they weigh a fair bit. This is built with the same poly materials as a "cheap" sit on kayak , although considerably thicker. And lighter... Man if it had a foam core as well it would be darn near unsinkable, since no inner voids.. But patching this for any holes would be pretty easy.. What a great tender for the kids! And I'd imagine pretty cost friendly.
Well if I was you, I would take it back at 2am Saturday morning and chain it to the fence. That will give you a couple of days head start. Then move to another country so they can't track you down. I know why they are dropping the price. The boats are slightly damaged....lol. Your lucky to get to play with them. Nice job
there's a company near me that builds a similar boat as well as rescue boats, they are made in a rotary mold, a high density polyethylene type plastic which solidifies and then the cavity is filled with some kind of polystyrene before while still in the mold making the main hull near pullet proof and completely unsinkable, all the fixtures are added to the mold so they become part of the final finished boat, very clever design and near idiot proof you did well experimenting on this, but i guarantee leave it with a bunch of 8 year old Scally Wags, they'd find a way to destroy it, more likely set fire, steel the wheels and jobs a gooden still it makes you wonder if this is unsinkable, why don't they make ships in the same way, haha who can build a rotary mold big enough, fill it with enough material in one go and rotate it
Will it also survive being squashed between to large steel boats, like the Pioner boats? I always heard the stories about those, that they will come back to their original shape after having been squashed.

I could probably destroy it
We have one from the same producer at our cabin. We have not managed to destroy anything for more than 40 years.
Norwegian quality this.
Happy New Year from Norway!
Great strong boats!
I want to see their reaction at the shop 😅😅😅 This was so funny seeing you guys destroying ... well TRYING to destroy an undestructible boat! See you soon!
You two are like a couple kids having a good time behaving a little naughty. Fun to watch. You can tell you guys are a great match.
You guy have come so fucking far in all the episodes with Sarinda etc. You deserve the accolades you will get. Notwithstanding Sarinda that appalls me and uplifts me in equal measure, you are both Sisyphus triumphant and a testament to the human spirit under insuperable odds.
Cracking vid and a great promo for Excel/ Seastorm…👍👍❤️

Yeah, they are by far the best finished of the poly boats, nice hull design as well, most are a simple V hull.
Josh at Excel Marine is no fool. He knows how to make a sale. You took it you broke it. It’s yours now!
😂😂

Happy New Year! ❤
Happy New Year James
Fantastic video.i enjoyed every moment. So much fun too watch x
Sometimes I think that you are both having a little toooo much fun. :)
I think we are to! And we realise how blessed we are to be able to do some really fun stuff and share it with you all!

WOW. I'd say that is more abuse than 99.9999999% would EVER subject that poor boat to in an entire lifetime.
You'd be suprised 😊
Happy new year
We have a new name for you pair BODGET AND SCARPER ha ha
As well as being robust, the boat is also pretty good looking like Simon says would make an excellent launch. 👍
You two are so funny. Love your videos. Happy new year from australia
Happy new year!!
A little bit of fun and games but what a craft Excel should give it to you as a tender for Sarinder. have a nice and safe new year and we see you in 2025 Barry and Traci
It would definitely make a great tender!
This is why so many enforcement boats are made from it now, it's a briliant material. Not as tactile as Sarinda's wood but still.
I can fix my kayak the same way or i can get a plastic welder to fix it like your video they are fun to see
Tough boat. Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
Insane craft, hammer blows were just bouncing off!! those barnacled surfaces would have destroyed mostly any other materials. Anyone watching your antics would have been flabbergasted. Such a fun video, it'll take some "beating".
It’s one tough boat!
The very definition of adventure is taking risks! Just watch, I'll bet their sales will go up👍
Wow 😮 that's one awsome boat! Those will outlast mankind probably 😂. Can they be found in the U.S.? I want one!✌️
Bad ass boat for sure. It could use a cage around the prop for those shallow swampy areas.
And one of those stick-on Urathane keel protectors for some ablative protection.
@@marvindebot3264 absolutely… You’ve got good wording as well, I had to look up the word “ablative”.
I was waiting for that sledge to come flyin out your hand right into the camera. XD
If it had a replaceable rubbing strip it would make it perfect
Norwegian boat
Happy New Year from Bergen Norway
Cheers
Quite a beating you gave that boat. I bet that was fun!😂
Come on Simon, you've got plenty of tools in the workshop that could've made more of a mark on that Sea Storm - multi-tool, band saw, nail gun, welder,...! Great fun though, and another great video!
We wanted to do things to put the boat through real life testing, so it’s not often a boat would come in contact with a welder!
@ShipHappensAdventures what is boat made of plastic I have a wreaking ball. 2 Tom. Lol
Well, the sledge hammer got the salt off.
That looked great fun 😂😂
that’s a right proper boat, cheers
That bridge where you put the boat on it's a good place to have a cup of tea when you kayaking the river dee was fast
To repair the boat you could get a plastic welding gun they are only cheap. That would really make it look like new.
I would love a boat like that it’s a perfect size fishing boat.
So what did they say when you took it back?
Happy New Year Simon, Gemma & Family.
If you break it, you buy it 😂
Probably some sandpaper will also help finish it
😂
Orme was looking nice! 👍
Haha, we’dve just let your trailer tyres down! 😂😂😂

LOVELY TESTING! Thank you for posting this video,
OH OH OH . . . and a Happy New Year fron the N.W. Suburbs of Chicago IL, USA🤣🤣🤣👍
Happy new year!
I thought he said if you damage it - you've bought it - at the retail price! 🙂
After all that abuse, they should give you that boat for free. Perhaps as a new tender for Sarinda?❤❤
A good boat for the white star line.
Find a little lake, round one would be best. Get 10 of these. Outfit them with a cage around the engine and driver rent them by the hour for 'team building" 'bumper boating. Really work out the anger issues.
While there was superficial stiff, that boat looks tough.
uh, no you can't borrow my dinghy. You can't borrow the car, or the electric tools. Comes to think of it unless I'm doing demolition, it might be better if I visit you 🙂
😂😂😂
F()€€); muppets 😂. That was hilarious! I hope that sea storm use your review and offer up some form of sponsorship.

Pretty impressive I would be interested in an open style 18 ft Jon boat style for crabbing fishing and duck hunting. Is it unsinkable?

Not like that you wont m8s! Keep up the good work, your doin well with Sarinda, its not always easy. stay vertical Eh!
You better be good Simon I bet she can swing a mean frying pan.haha
Wow, that is some boat, I mean, a person can use the hell out of that boat and not worry bout the swim to shore, within reason.
It sure is a great boat!
Let whistling Diesel take it for the day 😁😜
I don’t even think Cody could destroy this boat 😂
They should give you that boat.
wow i don't have any floatable mini boat can I get one of your test boats so I can improve my fishing carrier
Why?
Dang! I’m afraid to let you borrow my car now!!
We promise not to take it into a cave and hits some rocks!
HDPE is really tough and strong stuff!
It really is!
They lost it! Just one too many rotten beams & staves I guess
😂😂
Wonder how that'd do on the Colorado River.
Its what they make dolls out of, the ones you see on the ground after a plane crash

To test the boat’s durability!
Will it also survive being squashed between to large steel boats, like the Pioner boats? I always heard the stories about those, that they will come back to their original shape after having been squashed.
This is a Pioner boat. Same material, same construction principles. The only way I know to destroy a Pioner is a chain saw og a big drill. :)
Whats up with the engine install? There is serious water going everywhere from transom gap to engine
10:52 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tuff little boat
I thought when you arrived at Chester you were going to drive it over the weir!
Simon really wanted to, but getting it back up to the van and trailer might have been an issue!
@ShipHappensAdventuresI’ve been up that weir in a canoe. You’d have been fine 👍
@ShipHappensAdventures haha yeah I guess it would be a long drive too find the next mooring point and slipway
I want that boat, the one you've smashed up. Hilarious
You might be able to get this one cheap 😂😂 give Excel a message 😉
The pastic those boats are made of are strong when they are new but after being out in the sun for say 6 months they will crack like an egg
Nope, not HDPE, that 10 year warranty includes sun damage, IIRC.
brilliant guys
Thanks x
You do realise you've probably invalidated the warranty? 😂
😂😂😂😂
£9k, for a big lump of plastic? I bet that doesnt even include the engine!
The Norwegians build the boats in the world. I myself sail a With KMV Dromedille in England known as Bonwitco
Omgosh………! 😢😢😢😢
work on sarinda its your best stuff tried and true
It’s always good to have some fun every now and again!
Barnacles
Must be nice to have friends with a boat dealership. 😂
Should get a discount on that boat now its used and abused on top of the price being lowered on sale next week 😂. Half price sounds fair 😂
Need tow it home but leave the trailer
This is bloody stupid.
Do think the guy wanted you to do that, just test it in the water for every day hazards.
Well considering the makers have photos and the video on their webpage I'd say they got what they asked for.
And when you get tired of it you can cut it into strips and use it in your glue gun.
my 50 cal with a depeted urainem round will kill it
Don’t think he will give you another one.
Not took it back yet, hope he doesn’t see this video 😂
@ hope you make a video when you take it back, love to see his face 😂😂
@ShipHappensAdventures 😅
@@jonathanworthing6278 🤣🤣
A scratch and dent sale.

Just because you can why would you
