Cate Randa isn't a descendant of Bill Randa. As explained in the series, Keiko was a widow and already had Hiroshi before she came to the US.
They totally have to do a season 2 after that ending, there’s still so much to explore and all the fallout! And Lee is definitely alive, I refuse to believe he does that easily when he’s survived far worse.
Why don't people understand this? Streaming shows ALWAYS get a season 2.

The show is some Japanese Chinese communist party trash. Kurt Russell is a sellout.
Also, to be fair, it was great up till like episode 4 and 5, after that they push a certain agenda which makes you not want to be invested in these characters. Maybe if you just had a TV show about the monsters which it's supposed to be, not a love story story, like we don't need to see opening scenes enclosed in bed, like that's we don't need to see that for this, that's pushing agendas, alienates your audience😢

I loved this show! The human element is brilliant. The emotional reunion of Lee and Keiko was so well done. I loved Monarchy early years and the hollow earth mythology.
The DCU is disaster but WB has quietly put together gem with the monster verse!!
Proves your Not a Godzilla fan if all you care about is the crybaby lowlife insect humans.
Kinda helps since the bar was set kinda low with their direction of dumb fun especially in GvsK so when something with serious passion is made it stands out. Also Warner is not shoving content of this nearly as much as Disney has with Marvel.

I don’t understand the hate. The show is called Monarch not The Godzilla Show. I loved everything about this show. I was invested in all the characters which is a tough feat in itself. And to see my boy Kong at the end…I wasn’t expecting that. Can’t wait for season 2!

The only thing is, with the time they spent down there, you had Keiko leaving in 2015, equaling the 0.98 number.
But, she left in 2017, with the others, so there actually needs to be 2 years added to the first equation, I believe
She spent her 58th and possible part of her 59th day with them

I wanted to see Shaw reunite with Hiroshi, Hiroshi thought he abandoned him, and that he was a lunatic that need to be locked up. Now he’s the exact same “lunatic”
at the end, the crew seemed to have showed up on Skull Island BEFORE Godzilla v Kong, BUT Kong has grey hair ? or was that the lighting ?

i believe this is where we learn their evil ways and who runs the company. And then Season 2 ends with the beginning of “Godzilla: King of The Monsters”
1st season is a blast.couldnt wait for the next season.i hope they will also show how they kept in their possesion the other titans
so I watched Kong: Skull Island yesterday (yes shame on me, I put it on hold for too long). And it was mentioned, that the inhabitants "don't seem to age" (at least some). The time dilation doesn't come from nowhere after all. It's more likely that it wasn't picked up for GvK, despite it being foreshadowed very early on in the monsterverse.
This series was so good! I really loved the Russells' performances. If anything, this show proved that a SCP foundation series could definitely work

First disassemble than reassemble it. She is smart. She could do it. Or drag it somehow, which is less likely but not impossible.

She was in there for 57 days by her estimate compared to when they were in there for maybe a day or 2 at most

Maybe she lured a Titan to bump into it and move it then it rolled downhill, lol

It was never explained how Keiko went from Lee to Bill.
@ScreenCrush channel did breakdowns of every episode and they theorize that she and Lee would never work, that it was an issue of trust and that they would make choices that would negatively affect Monarch for the sake of their relationship. She and Bill had that trust from the start, they were both scientists and somehow their goals would align with Monarch's future. Give the episode breakdowns a watch if you can.
Lee found out she had a son so Al tha feeling went out the window remember a secret is not a lie meaning she kept hers from from both until billy found out and he fell in love while lee stop loving her for her lie.
So far this is my favorite movie series! I cannot wait to see what happens in season 2 of Monarch.
This was a fantastic show! I was so curious about it as I love me some Kaiju fights but this one really got me invested in the story of the human characters and just wanting to know more about the Kaijus in general
I struggled with the first half of the season but the back half was amazing!!
I just finished season 1 last night. As a long time G fan, I LOVED it! My only concern is that as of Jan 14th, Apple had still not placed an order for Season 2. Hoping they renew so we can fill in more gaps!
So maybe the reason why apex tech is more advance or better than monarch is because keiko. Apex made the anti gravity vehicle, they also can travel very fast through tunnel using some gravity magic in GvK movie.
Apex is also a private company not limited by government funding limits and regulations. Private companies almost always develop tech faster than govt orgs. It’s never as safe or reliable, but they get there faster

I liked that they focused on the humans dealing with the monsters rather than the monsters themselves. And I loved how they used the monsters in the story. I'm really looking forward to season 2
It’s interesting that both Kong and Godzilla are seem as protectors of earth in different parts of the the narrative (movies and Apple series).

Lee was around 27 in 1952 so Keiko was probably around the same age as him back then. That would make Keiko around 34 in 1959 when she fell into Axis Mundi.
Hiroshi was around 10 in 1962 which would make Hiroshi around 30 in 1982 and around 65 at the end of season 1 / 2017.
Lee lost around 20 years in Axis Mundi between 1962 and 1982, so Lee was around 37/57 in 1982 and around 70/90 in 2015.
Keiko lost around 57 years in Axis Mundi between 1959 and 2017 so Keiko is around 34/92 in 2017.
Wasnt Godzilla vs Kong in 2024? Cause it sets five years after KoM

They need to show Toho creatures Kumonga and Kamacuras for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 that Kong fights Kumonga in the Final Episode.
My wife got me turned into the show after Christmas I didn’t even know it was out. I really enjoyed it and look forward to season 2 and it catching up to tie into the other movies.
They are having a season 2. It's confirmed. They will Probably make him survive as they are avoiding confirming his death. And cmon, would you kill off a main character with the whole reason of every godzilla movie. I mean come on. Would you kill Kurt Russel? The main character who survived much worse and founded monarch? They are not doing that and if they do i will be pissed. He probably got sucked in with them. just, in a different spot. So he is most likely alive.

This might be the craziest idea but what if Lee Shaw not only survived, but what if somehow he gets younger? If Godzilla can evolve, what if he fell in some kind of radioactive lake and it rejuvenated every cell in his body? I think he deserves it considering all that he’s lost and for him being so heroic over the years. I’m pretty sure the fans would agree.

Believe me when I say that Lee comes back with Kong or something.
I can explain the discrepancy. The portal that Keiko entered was 1 day equals 1 year or 56 days equals 56 years. If she went back through her portal within an hour of entering Axis Mundi only 15 days would have passed since she left. The portal that Lee, May and Kate entered would have allowed Keiko to enter back into 1959 with very little time passing.
Because she went through Lee's first portal which: 1 day equals 3 years from the time of entry; it means the portal behaves different when you go through it. Lee went in 1962 in the pod and entered the portal 7 days latter without the pod returning to 1982 proving it is not just a portal but it effects time and space. He was in his suit, so he absorbed less energy and the door opened in1982.
Lee, May and Kate entered at 2015 in a very low energy portal into Axis Mundi, but Keiko had entered with the bugs covering her shielding her from the de aging radiation, in a portal with more energy dilation of time occurs for the person if they leave an energized portal. The 1 day equals 3yrs or 16 hours equals 2yrs portal which they passed through in the end emerged on Skull Island, because the Apex team activated the door when they received the gamma signal drawing the pod to skull island's exit point.
Also, I think elderly Lee Shaw with no shielding entering the portal will absorb the energy and be revitalized. It will have the affect of de aging him and allowing him to emerge in 2017 young and healthy. But at a different location maybe in the hands of Monarch again, as his younger self but with the memories of his elderly life, including meeting Keiko again.
The portal energy revitalizing effect explains why monsters go back and forth in order to absorb the energy and stay healthy strong fit. Also why Apex cybernetics wants this energy to study it re-energizing effect.
When Lee entered Axis Mundi, it was 1962, but for Keiko 18.67 days of the 56 days had passed which is equivalent to the 3 yrs from 1959 to 1962, since she entered from her portal.

Hopefully Season 2 shows More Kong/Titan Action, Iwi Natives, Skull Island creatures from the 2017 movie, Comics and Skull Island Netflix Animated Series, Joe Morton reprising his role as an Older Houston Brooks, Skullcrawlers and Live-action versions of Charlie, Mike, Annie and Dog.
Convient that nobody wears a watch or a smart phone while in the monster underground. It allows so much speculation in case they need it for future movies.

Your math is wrong. every day is 2 years. Based on Lee’s story he spent about a week or so in Axis Mundi and timeline skipped 20 years. Now if you round that to 10 days then his time skip would be 2 years for every day. Not to mention the end scene when they are told 2 years have past. Keep in mind they were knocked out for a bit, then spent time looking for Cate, then time spent transporting the gadget to the spot Lee knew about, setting up the machines. I’d be generous to say it was a whole day but at the same time Kentaro could’ve rounded up when saying you guys have been gone for 2 years. Not to mention Keiko could be wrong about how long she was actually there, there isn’t a clear day and night cycle. I’d trust Lee’s experience as he’s an army man who are usually trained to know the 24 hour cycle.
How did Keiko got her hands on the monarch signal tool?
I think he was taken but went straight when the pod was pulled left so he’s going to end up in the future.

This was a great episode, in my opinion the best yet. The season started off strong, but had a lul in the central episodes, then picked back up. The older group Lee, Randa and Keiko were more interesting to watch, then the younger group. Anyway, I noticed during your video you stated that Lee sacrificed himself because he was too much weight. I don't get that logic, because he was the third passenger from the getgo. In addition, I'm still not sure why he had to be inside the pod to make it through the portal. The first time he left Axis Mundi, he wasn't in a pod and came back to the surface unharmed in only his orange space suit. He should've been able to ride that wave into the portal too.

The time is not linear here, it's parabolic, that's why you can't compare it and get the average.

Monarch was overall good with the Human Element when compared to the past Monster Verse movies. By the time Godzilla vs Kong rolled around, I just wanted to see the Monsters duke it out. With this show, while it did have a few annoying Human moments, I enjoyed the rest of the Human side of the story.
Mari Yamamoto killed it during her scenes when she sees Lee again and finds out what has happened.

Keiko is super sexy and my big grown as got teary eye when lee meet keiko and when keiko met her son. When he look up he instantly knew and when he said mama a tear rolled down my eye.

Despite what other people say, I enjoyed every part of this show
Just cant explain how i was dissapointed with Monarch series, most of characters annoying like in some slasher horror movie and u just wish them to die faster.
Time dilation also occurs on when approaching the speed of light. So, theoretically, the process of travelling from one world to another can influence the time difference as well as being in a different world. So the writers are either quite knowledgeable, or just a little lazy 🤷🏽♂

This would be perfect series if some of the major characters in Monsterverse made a cameo in the series like Serizawa cauz man I don't have any feeling of attachment at all on Old Bill Randa's character in Kong Skull Island
