The Scorn have new AI, new animations, new gameplay abilities...literally the only thing they share with the Fallen is the story tie.

I just decided to reinstall Destiny 2 since I saved up enough money to buy all the DLC campaigns, but found out that Forsaken was vaulted. Atleast with this video I have a general idea about what the Forsaken campaign was about, so I don't get too confused when playing the other campaigns
These old campaigns aren't really playable anymore. Thanks for preserving the history so that new players like me can grasp what this thing is all about.

I know the majority of the player base believes him to be permanently dead, but there are just too many separate pieces of lore that make the ol’ thought box start running a mile a minute when I start piecing ‘em together. I know I could just be grabbing at something from nothing... but I like to think it’s possible. It’s a hill I’ll die on if nothing else. In the Oxygen SR3 lore card, Ikora and Zavala are speaking amongst each other and Ikora wishes Cayde were here, with Zavala in agreement saying so as well. Crow himself has wished he could have met Cayde. The 15th wish- ”This one you shall cherish.” has yet to be revealed. Some players have given up on it, but I believe the time has not yet come for the wish to be fulfilled. You wonder if there’s more than one reason we still have access to the Dreaming City. In D1, there is an armor set called Long Tommorow 9G. The helmet mentions an Ahamkara sighting. One of the gauntlets has a symbol on the shoulder, to which afterwards I had not seen pop up on any further armor until I noticed it on the Vanguard Dare ornament set in D2. Cayde has a quote on a ship called the NS81 Reprisal Sprint in D2, ”Hey, hey, don’t give up! Everything you always wanted’s on the other side of *tomorrow* .” Could it be nothing? Yeah of course I know. Could it be something? Won’t find out til it happens. Nathan Fillion left because his signed contract ended. And he wanted to do other projects I get it. But he did state as well that he’d wouldn’t mind voicing Cayde again if he was ever needed. Bungie wanted a darker gaming experience and killing off Cayde, as much as I hated it, was the catalyst that gave them just that. It goes both ways though, it gives Bungie the time to progress their darker story, and frees up Nathan Fillion so he can work on other things. And then when the time is right, Nathan could come back if he still wanted too, and Cayde could be worked back in. I believe Bungie’s story telling has grown enough to where they’d be able to pull it off. Definitely. And I still don’t believe they’ve written Cayde off for good just like that. Bungie has stated he’s dead I know this, it could be true I’m not denying it, but it could also be them trying to divert us by any means necessary to keep future story from being spoiled.

This story was clearly *meant* to be a revenge story, except it drags it out for way too long. John Wick is the perfect revenge story, and it only lasts 100 minutes, and quite a lot of that is exposition. There is little to no exposition in Forsaken. Then, the game will drag out your revenge for 8 hours, and make you grind before you can pursue your revenge. Each boss fight was underwhelming and I was often unaware that I had killed them. The entire time I just wanted it to end. Then, in the end, we didn't even get to kill Uldren, that "Voice of Riven" did most of the legwork and tried to humanize him killing Cayde by saying "he was doing it for his sister" which anybody with a brain will realize that freeing prisoners who were imprisoned under your sisters rule and who also happen to be necromancers is not a good idea. The writing is bland and uninspiring and I took the cue and never spent so much as a fraction of a cent on Destiny again.
