      I am with you! I got the same signup bonus earlier this year and have received a ton of value. The stacked quarters for food in q1 and gas this quarter have been fantastic. Who doesn’t want 9% back on groceries or gas for a couple months?
      If they continue to offer core spending categories like gas and groceries I see no reason why the flex card wouldn’t be a core keeper card for the foreseeable future.

    one missed piece on the World of Hyatt card, it also gives automatic Discoverist status. small perk but a very welcome one, giving late checkout and preferred room upgrades!

    Some people dog on the FU for 1.5X don’t realize it’s made up by the 3X on dining and drugstores.
    If you eat a lot, the 3X is amazing. Then down the line you get a Sapphire card, the value adds up together.

    • @activeirving

      @@newagain9964 The general comparison is against other catch all cards usually 2%. Obviously you can get other 3X dining cards like Bilt, Savor One, etc but they all will be 1% or 1X on non-category spend.

    The Freedom seems to suck outside of the welcome offer. No 5% rotating categories like the Freedom and Flex offer. I do have all of them and just got the preferred for the welcome offer and to open up transfer partners. I already got the prime card although I wish it gave you the option for points vs cash back. Really trying to travel more and build those points. I am going to g to drop the gold card with the price increase not sure it’s worth it and the platinum might be next but you really just got to use 3 of the credits to cover that 695 and the lounge access is nice. I was going to switch it for the reserve but there really is no way to get the annual back completely. Still going to be stuck at the 250 after the 300 credit

    I just got my first credit card and have been watching videos on how to use it properly . I have a plan to use a cash advance to pay off a payday loan that has 500% apr and will cost $500 to pay off a $200 loan at a $100 a month . I know everyone says not to get cash back on a credit card but wouldnt that be cheaper than paying off my payday loan ? I plan on paying off the credit card in 2 or three months ..what do u think ?

    I really think CHASE is one of the worst for C.Cs. Chase is still on the "old times" like credit unions, they gotta hard pull you when requesting an increase. Crazy, hate that.!

      Incorrect. CHASE changed that policy. They execute a soft pull for credit limit increases and hard pulls when you apply for new credit cards with them.

    I’m confused by your Hyatt Chase card segment: how much do I need to spend in a year to get the 11 night credits that you mentioned?

    • @koplebob
      @koplebob 28 дней назад +1

      @@HypocritesExposd you automatically get 5 every year for holding the card.
      what he mentioned is if you hit the $15k spend per year that also awards you a free night, but since you also get 2 night credits for every $5k spend, that’s 6 on top of the 5 for holding the card for a total of the 11, plus the free night from the $15k spend, plus the free night from renewing the card

    • @wpwhittle
      @wpwhittle 11 дней назад

      @@koplebobso for the 40+night to get that status, is that per year or lifetime to maintain the status?

    • @koplebob
      @koplebob 11 дней назад +1

      @@wpwhittle once you actually get status, it lasts for the rest of that calendar year, then usually another full year and then expires/resets at the end of february of the year after that. so essentially, the bare minimum is 14 months.
      the only way to get lifetime status (globalist only) is to earn 1 million hyatt base points, which is like spending $250k at hyatts if you have the WoH card
