A haunting song of loss and hope. I first time I heard this was on Radio 3 in 2002, when Cara and Seth/Sam? performed this song live. I just happened to record it - I was hooked!
I wonder how many people know where she (probably) got it from: Triona ni Dhomnaill's version with The Bothy Band: ruclips.net/video/IEGPYPQZ7Zs/видео.html
That's impossible. The Bothy Band (in first incarnation) existed between 1975 and 1979. That song was on Out of the Wind into the Sun, which I bought in 1980. I doubt Cara Dillon was even born then. @@jakobteeter9740

Beutiful
Thank you for uploading this! I've never seen it in my 14 years as a fan of Cara.
Can't hold a candle to the Bothy Band offering,

The Bothy bands version was released in 2008, while Cara’s was 2002.
