    Great information on removing overspray on satin/matte finishes. How would you go about out repairing a scratch on a matte finish since you can’t use rubbing compound or wax??

    Can you recommended any products that you can spray on a matte finish with a cannon after the wash instead of having to wipe it that will help keep it cleaner for longer? Thank you

    you should get a hose clip that goes on your belt behind you, so you don't have to hold the hose with your hand

    Can you do a video on how to deal with bugs between washes. Sometimes I drive an hour once or twice a week and at night. But dont want to fully wash my car and do whole process to just get rid of bugs everytime.

      I'd personally just make sure you have a good ceramic coating and use a ceramic spray when you do wash it to protect the bugs from etching.

      Waterless wash from almost any brand is good for quick washes

    Josh I accidentally got wax on my matte racing stripe and it has left a milky looking residue over it. I've washed the car 20 times almost and it's still there. I use carpro reset since I have a ceramic coating. I did recently purchase carpro descale and I'm going to try that because I just can't get rid of it. Help

      Do you have a polisher? I would run it on low speed with something like ceramic detail spray to try and level it out. Keep it on low speed so you don’t effect the matte

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  2 года назад

      it would be this: amzn.to/3ufkyK1
      It has the most foaming agents and the garden hose foamers need all the help they can get to get the most foam!

    I have a VW bug I just sprayed in satin clear. I had a little touch up on the rear fender and tried using a shield to cover The body but ended up getting slight halo or overspray from around the shield. Do you think the goof off might be too aggressive for something fresh? 3 days old. A local shop recommended I use wizards wipe down matte spray.. I wanted to try something before I have to reclear the body section with overspray.

      IMO…Never use goof off on matte. Sorry, I know it’s too late. Hope everything worked out for you.

    • @imjoshv

      Test a little goof off or even laquer thinner on a small spot. You may need to polish them after to remove any light scratches but that should do the trick

    Any merit in foaming..let it sit..rinse it off then foam again before you do the manual wash step. That way any contaminants from the first foaming are washed away.

    • @davestewart9146
      @davestewart9146 2 года назад +1

      I like to pre-rinse then foam it, while that’s on there I take my detail brush and hit all the nooks and crannies and rinse again, then I foam again and contact wash, I’m not concerned about waisting product because I only clean my own cars, works for me

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  2 года назад +1

      Yep not a bad idea at all. In that situation I would foam, let’s it dwell, rinse, foam, then contact wash
