@@DannyLoyd baptized in water or the Spirit? great deal of difference betwixt symbol of water and spiritual where the Holy Spirit is the one baptizing you into Christ.
@@lennysamuel9290 Stop trying to work and earn your way to hell by continuing to sin OK? You must stop sinning and repent and forsake them or you likewise will perish. Jesus said "Go and sin no more" He did not say sin a little less or try to stop sinning He said completely stop it right now. Today is your salvation, not tomorrow. If you keep on sinning and die without repenting of them you will go to hell my friend. Don't play games with your soul. God will not be mocked and don't think He is going to accept you in His kingdom if you still sin. He is looking for a clean bride not a dirty one like you.
The Holy Spirit does not baptize us into Christ, nor does HS Baptism forgive sins. When the apostles were baptized with the Holy Spirit, they were already forgiven under John's baptism (Mk.1:4-5; Lk.3:3). So, the purpose for HS Baptism was not to forgive their sins. Jesus promised those who were baptized under John's baptism would "go" into the kingdom (Mt.21:32-33). On the day of Pentecost, Jesus placed the apostles in the kingdom as promised, for they were already born again. Now take a look at Nicodemus, here is a man who definitely has faith "we know that you are a teacher come from God for no man can do these things you do, unless God is with him." Though Nicodemus had faith, according to Jesus, he needed to be born again. Proof that one is not saved at the point of faith, one is not born again at the point of faith. Jesus knew Nicodemus and the other Pharisees "rejected the counsel of God against themselves not being baptized of John" (Lk.7:30). They were rejecting salvation. The only way Jesus was going to grant Nicodemus entrance into the kingdom was if he submitted to John's baptism. "Unless a man is born of water (baptism) and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom. To be born again of water and Spirit is best explained by Peter. "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently; Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever" (1Pt.1:22-23). First notice our souls are purified when we obey the truth, not when we believe the truth, but when we obey the truth. Through the Spirit. Being born again by the Word of God. The Holy Spirit works on our hearts through the Word of God, when we obey the truth, our souls are purified. "Unless a man is born of water (baptism/obedience) and of the Spirit (through the Word of God), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
Look at the thief on the cross with Jesus. He believed and was unable to be baptized or "do" anything, but he believed and had faith and that's why Jesus told him, "this day you will be with me in paradise".
Salvation is the in dwelling presents of the Holy Spirit that was lost in Adam. It has NOTHING to do with water baptism. John the Baptist said “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will BAPTIZE you with the Holy Spirit”. We are spiritually dead until we receive the Holy Spirit, which makes us spiritually alive!
Peter ask in Acts 10:47 " Can anyone forbid WATER that they should be baptized" in Acts 8 " here is WATER WHAT prevents me from being baptized. In Acts 2:38 it says Repent and be baptized IN THE NAME OF JESUS.....that is water baptism, read Acts 10:47 anyone forbid water....and commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus
Although am 11 and I know the world is going to end pretty quick, I accepted Jesus christ as my lord and saviour but it scares me since am not yet baptized (Although I REALLy wan't to). I'am going to get baptized but the day thats going to happen, I don't know. The day judgment day happens I don't know either, but I know God has his plans ahead from mine.
Jesus said you MUST be born again of water and spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven. That's pretty clear. But then again, God can do as he likes, if he finds an unbaptized person worthy.
Yeah!!! Yes I am 11 and I am saved…but I haven’t got baptized but I want to…at this moment I’m not sure when I’m gonna be able to and this helps a lot thank you!!!
what about those who have a dry birth? John 3:5 is water baptism, Acts 10:47 Peter says " can anyone forbid WATER that they should be baptized...." Acts 8 "here is water, what prevents me from being baptized"
@@DannyLoyd Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a "dry birth". More "Church of Christ" nonsense. No thanks. Pass on man-plans. Will cheerfully follow the instructions in Scripture instead. Praying you do the same for your own sake! (Remember: You ultimately affect only you and forever’s a long time.) Feel free to take matters up with the Author if there’s some “problem” with how He writes His Own Book. Confidence on the Day of Judgment is critical and that day happens with 100% of everyone whether he or she “believes that way or not” (see Hebrews 9:27-28). That confidence lies in the form of the finished work of Jesus. But, then again, everyone has a forever as well as a prerogative. Tends to make one wonder why people gamble like that. One of the most loving things one person can do for another is to help that “another person” fly as high as possible in Jesus while giving thought to eternity at the same time. According to Ephesians 5:11, instructions are to have nothing to do with the deeds of darkness but rather expose them and according to 1 John 4:1, instructions are to test the spirits. Everyone is growing. Whoever that person is, hopefully he or she is born again (or “born from above” - or “born anew” - John 3:1-6 - biblehub.com/greek/509.htm ) .
By Accepting Jesus int your heart you are Baptized in the spirit the Water Baptism has no claim to salvation it only has claim to access to the gift of the holy spirit. When Jesus got baptized anyone who believes in Jesus is baptized in the spirit. Water Baptism is considered your works and if you rely on your works for salvation God will judge you based on your works and it will not stand the fire. Id rather Trust in Jesus, if he says it is finished on the cross that means it is finished the road to salvation is finished.
Thanks for clarifying, I was thinking about this as my sister a Catholic believes she's done it as a baby and also believes in Jesus as the Savior like we as Christians also do. Another thought is that when Jesus spoke this he had not fulfilled the prophecy yet and at that time was speaking to the Jews, I also believe that after the crucifixion believing him is enough.
Jesus said to the man on the cross next to him "today you will be with me in paradise". (Luke Chapter 23 Verse 43). Had this man been baptized??? Water baptism happens because someone has been saved. Water baptism doesn't save. The recent coronation happened because Charles is now the King. The coronation didn't make Charles the King. Charles became the King when his mother - Queen Elizabeth the Second - died. A coronation for William or George would be nonsense as neither of them are King.
he also didn't believe in the DBR of Christ, so we don't have to either? no sinner's prayer, or accepting Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism in the name of Jesus was commanded way after the thief had died....Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38
I live in Scarborough ontario Canada 🇨🇦 and it is very very difficult to get baptized in any church whether it's Catholic, Christian, Anglican etc. In order to have a baptism in my town. The church wants you to be extremely dedicated. As in coming to church more than once a week. Volunteer your time to whatever activity is going on that month. Attend Bible study. This should have been number one on the list to complete baptism the church wants donations! It's much easier to get your newborn baby baptized than a grown-up! I always wanted to get baptized. When I was a kid my family would go to church and the kids would go to Sunday school... So I just assumed I was baptized. I always thought my mom was a very religious person. Until last summer when my brother inlaw found a witchcraft of black magic spell! My mother passed away June 2010...
I agree with your position. Some people, however, would say that we cannot use Luke 23 because the gospel was not established until one Corinthians 15 versus 3:4. They would say that because the new covenant had not yet come that this verse could not apply to us. Whatever your take on that may be, my rationale is this. According to Romans four, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he had the seal of circumcision, yet being uncircumcised. According to Colossians two, baptism, in the name of Jesus Christ is equivalent to New Testament circumcision, and we are buried with him and we rise to walk in the newness of life, Colossians, two versus 11:12. Therefore, if Abraham believe God, and it was credited to him for righteousness before his circumcision, then, according to Romans, four versus 24:25, righteousness will be credited to those who believe, even though they have not yet been able to be baptized. Also in act 10, Cornelius‘s house received the Holy Spirit before they were baptized, after which Peter commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, act 10:48. So whether we believe that the thief on the cross is valid or not to use as an argument, we have others. But I also do not believe that baptism is optional, Mark 16:16, act 2:38, 22:16, one Peter 3:21. I would give Noah assurance of the forgiveness of sins to anyone who refuses water baptism. Note that I said refuses… To me, that is the key.
Male I hate to tell you but you're completely wrong. You have to be baptized you have to be fully submerged into the blood of christ. The thief on the cross is not a good example for your argument because Jesus was still walking the Earth and he had the power to forgive sense and send. You to paradise at that moment because remember Christianity wasn't established yet till he was resurrected. And also we don't know the history of the thief he could have been a converted christian and strayed. Telling people they don't have to be baptized is very dangerous.
I’m a middle aged guy and was baptized as a small child in the church. I’m just starting to get more closer to God and my mom realizes it but wants me to get baptized again. Am I already saved if I was already baptized the first time?
@miggy - if you are baptised, don’t do it again or you are saying your baptism was not valid. You can reaffirm your baptism every day by praying the creed and confirming your faith.
Thanks for the clarification. I've been to many churches in my time and it is very confusing. One will tell me we are saved by Jesus death, burial, and resurrection. Another will tell me we are saved by faith alone. Another tells me we are saved by works. Another tells me we are saved by grace. One church says that Jesus died for the sins of the world so everyone in the world is now saved. Another says Jesus died for all who have faith in him. Yet another says that Jesus died for all who does all that he commanded of them. And lastly, that Jesus died for the sins of all who have faith and does all that he commands of them. And somewhere we have repentance mixed in with the whole lot. Here are all the options that are currently being taught in churches today. O Everyone is saved O Everyone is saved who is baptized O Everyone is saved who has faith O Everyone is saved who does works O Everyone is saved who has faith and is baptized O Everyone is saved who has faith and does works O Everyone is saved who does works and is baptized O Everyone is saved who has faith, does works, and is baptized
not confusing, the bible is the standard and it says you must be baptized to be saved. You might take the time to read it, not that hard to understand. Jesus says, " he that believes and is baptized shall be saved".....

@@DannyLoyd yet others are aswell, God is just. A person with a good heart who does what their conscience tells them and tries to avoid sin etc... and would immediately accept God when encountering him for real in the afterlife, where all confusion is taken away. Do you think such persons wont be saved? There are literal baptised Christians who are sometimes worse behaving than non baptised non Christians. There is way more to everything. But God is infinitely wise and just. I trust in him. Establishing these signs and symbols I think is necessary on earth to have people realize who is the true God, to guide them, to have a form of structure and not fall into chaos etc... but I will never believe everyone not baptised just dies. I will only believe that if God tells me this when I die and says: Ann you were wrong. But until then, as God is just, I dont believe it.
Its not vital to be baptised for salvation, but he encourages all to do it as a symbol of internal conviction. Like you can be married without wearing a ring, but rings show that they are married.
No, it doesn’t. If that were true, then what Nicodemus assumed would have been right you would have had to go into your mothers womb second time and that’s not true. The reason that it is not true is because Jesus said you must be born of water and the spirit, so you have two elements and not just one. It is not a natural birth and a spiritual birth, and that you only have one thing that Nicodemus needed to have happened. There are two things and one. It seems to be that way in places like acts 2:38, 8-12:16, 10-44:48, 19-1: 6, one Corinthians 6:11, Titus 3:5, Galatians, 3-5, 14, 27, etc.. I agree with the position of this video, but to say that water, baptism is not part of the salvific plan is really ridiculous, and even if you do not believe that, it is a part of spiritual birth, you would have to believe that it is spiritual circumcision, Colossians, two versus 11 and following. It must be appropriated through repentance and faith, and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Receive the Holy Ghost as well speaking in the language, you haven’t learned, act 2:4, 10:46, 19:6.

@@ericsikma4764That is what I believe, it is a free gift of works, I just wanted to see if anyone had any reason as to why perhaps 'baptism' really was needed for salvation as Mark 16:16 implies: Mark 16:16 King James Version 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. But vs: John 3:16 King James Version 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Should not does sound a bit conditional but we know from other passages it is a free gift NOT OF WORKS, and Baptism could be considered a work even if it is a work of faith! I think even evil Christians are saved by the blood of Christ by grace through faith, because all of us are evil anyway compared to God's holy standard, all have fallen short of the glory of God. I sometimes still fall into sin with swearing or watching lustful things once in a blue moon, and I literally have to pray that away and endure and keep praying and sometimes the battle against my flesh can last all night and is so irritating, but we must be prepared to pick up our cross daily. God knew we could never earn our salvation so how are we supposed to keep it? He does the saving, the keeping, and the disciplining/punishing when we slip up! I feel we must fight sin daily and not given to the lusts of the flesh and find out more about the whole armour of God. Some believers will have lots of rewards in heaven based on works they did, and some will have their works burnt up. I'm a pretty crappy believer, I've only donated to Feed My Sheep once so far and I've not really gone and fed the homeless or visited many in prison, I should be more willing to risk it all and go visit randoms in prison and help those in need, at the cost of my own time and money, it's just I get too comfortable sitting at home on the Computer and watching for the Lord to come back. I've gotta snap out of it, I know! Please pray for me to stop being selfish, and go get motivated to go help others more, not for rewards in heaven even though that would be nice, but to actually do the two new commandments, Love God above all and Love thy neighbour (Everyone else, including love thy enemy, this is so hard to do but not really) I love you all and I pray the Lord shall provide a way to beat my stupid flesh and I somehow become a useful fruitful son for him and to others! I love you all! And sometimes actions > words... I've got the words, now lets pray the Lord can give me the actions or help me to produce! Much love everyone! You'll all be in my prayers!

Jesus christ never baptise with water, and when Jesus christ, you must be born of water and Spirit. Born with the flesh and the Spirit of life. Only ceased man of the flesh can recieve the eternal spirit of life. Jesus christ got baptised to fulfill the laws of Moses only. And was old testament, new testament says that there is one lord, and one God and one baptism, and one God and Father of all. The baptism of the new covenant is Jesus Christ baptism by laying of hands, or like the 3000 and 5000 that heared the word of Peter, and Jesus Christ filled all at the same time with the holy spirit.
Baptism does not save or allows anyone to be saved! Jesus is the only means by which we all can have eternal life! John 14:6, Acts 4:12 .....period.....! Baptism is our first opportunity to confess Christ before man but not our only opportunity to do so! ( Matthew 10:32-33 ) Then Christ Himself desired to be baptized! Not because He was in need of it....obviously, but because He was first and foremost obedient to His Father then He demonstrated to us that obedience in humble subjection.....Philippians 2....! Baptism is our outward confession of an inward gift of transformation. Our connection to Christ! John 17:3 is now our mode of operation and John 15:1-8 the details of the operation.
Jesus said to the criminal on the cross who had no time to get baptised, today you will be in Paradise with me! Repentance and Faith in Christ is needed!🙏

Now take a look at Nicodemus, here is a man who definitely has faith "we know that you are a teacher come from God for no man can do these things you do, unless God is with him."
Though Nicodemus had faith, according to Jesus, he needed to be born again.
"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently;
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever" (1Pt.1:22-23).
This is when you use the logic god gave you. Babtism is not a ceremony but an acceptance of Christ
Jesus told the thief on the cross he would see him in paradise.
Jesus knew his heart.
The thief was not baptized.
The thief on the cross might have been baptized by John the Baptist but Abraham wasn’t.

Baptism is necessary as far as we are possible; in case other unavoidable situations Jesus will take care of them.

Jesus is the living water
Jesus said you MUST be born again of water and spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven. That's pretty clear. But then again, God can do as he likes, if he finds an unbaptized person worthy.
But none of the apostles were baptized with water. But by the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Paul was and how do you know they weren't? baptized by John?
Yeah!!! Yes I am 11 and I am saved…but I haven’t got baptized but I want to…at this moment I’m not sure when I’m gonna be able to and this helps a lot thank you!!!
We are born of water, when we are born physically.
what about those who have a dry birth?
@@DannyLoydYou think that Abraham was baptized and do you think Abraham is in hell?
Mark 16:16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved.
What if a person accepts Christ on their death bed how would they get baptized?
Salvation keeps getting hard and harder😢
O Everyone is saved
O Everyone is saved who is baptized
O Everyone is saved who has faith
O Everyone is saved who does works
O Everyone is saved who has faith and is baptized
O Everyone is saved who has faith and does works
O Everyone is saved who does works and is baptized
O Everyone is saved who has faith, does works, and is baptized
not confusing, the bible is the standard and it says you must be baptized to be saved. You might take the time to read it, not that hard to understand. Jesus says, " he that believes and is baptized shall be saved".....
@@DannyLoyd When referring to Scripture, please keep comments in proper Biblical context. Thanks. There are no contradictions in Scripture...EVER.
Sad as it is to say, this particular reply is EXTREMELY insulting to the finished work of Jesus. CLASSIC "Church of Christ" nonsense. Salvation by works? HUH?? No such thing.
Aren’t man-plans goofy at times? History’s literally LOADED with examples of how man-plans fail.
For anyone, praying this all helps. If there’s any “ammo” here that’s either wanted or needed, go for it. As Scripture implies, “Freely you have received, freely give”.
One is either in Jesus (100% forgiven - “Sheep”) or in Adam (0% forgiven - “Goats”). There is no such thing as a “Geep” - No one is ever “50% forgiven” (John 5:24, Colossians 2:13-15, Hebrews 10:14, 2 Peter 1:3-4, 1 John 2:12, etc.). Both testaments are blood economies but this new one is permanent. There will never again be another Calvary or Resurrection. No need. They were effective the first time. Matthew 25:31-46, John 3:3-6, Galatians 6:15-16, & 1 Peter 2:9-10 along with Matthew 7:21-23, Galatians 1:8, 1 Timothy 4:1-5 & 2 Timothy 3:5 are all self-explanatory as to who “sheep” are as well as who “goats” are. Sadly, cults & false religions are described in those latter four.

What about act 2:38
Its not vital to be baptised for salvation, but he encourages all to do it as a symbol of internal conviction. Like you can be married without wearing a ring, but rings show that they are married.
The thing that Jesus describes by saying: be born in water, implies the real birth from our mothers. Amen 🙏 hope that helps anyway 🙏
The thief also didn't believe in the DBR of Christ, so we don't have to either? Baptism in the name of Jesus was commanded way after the thief had died, Acts 2:38 " Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins..."
I have a 31 year old son with downs syndrome, he has never been baptized, can I baptize him now myself. As his Dad wouldn't let me do it when he was a baby, saying he must choose when he grows up, he was infact just being tight fisted and didn't want the expense, it worries me that he isn't baptized as I was as a baby.
God is way smarter, has infinite wisdom, is loving and just. Do you really think he will let your down syndrome son perish and die? Ofcourse not! Baptism is chosen by those who can choose it and want it. Those who cant choose, they cant. They are loved by God regardless
I was baptised twice, the first time when I was either in my late teens or early 20s and a very recent one mid last month. Do we have to baptise more than once and why? How many times must or could one be baptised?
Only once and you must be baptize in River and also in the name of Lord Jesus Christ
@@EnockYankso does not have to be a river tho. There are areas in the world without any rivers nearby. Its about the symbol and heart. You can use a pool for example.

Nowhere does the Biblical Greek say water baptism saves, remits sins, washes sins away or regenerates.

2 by which also ye are saved if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain
3 for I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures
4 and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
We are saved by faith alone in Christ sacrifice the innocent for you the guilty

@@ericsikma4764That is what I believe, it is a free gift of works, I just wanted to see if anyone had any reason as to why perhaps 'baptism' really was needed for salvation as Mark 16:16 implies:
Mark 16:16
King James Version
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
But vs:
John 3:16
King James Version
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Please pray for me to stop being selfish, and go get motivated to go help others more, not for rewards in heaven even though that would be nice, but to actually do the two new commandments, Love God above all and Love thy neighbour (Everyone else, including love thy enemy, this is so hard to do but not really)
I love you all and I pray the Lord shall provide a way to beat my stupid flesh and I somehow become a useful fruitful son for him and to others!
I love you all!
And sometimes actions > words...
I've got the words, now lets pray the Lord can give me the actions or help me to produce!
Much love everyone!
You'll all be in my prayers!

the water baptism taught in scripture, follow no denomination, you can read the bible and understand it. Encourage you to attend the Lord's church, the Church of Christ Romans 16:16, they will be glad to study with you

Thank You ✝️
Jesus christ never baptise with water, and when Jesus christ, you must be born of water and Spirit.
That’s not true…!
