Ive run my course and I hope the ladies will take it from here! Thank you everyone!" BOOM! We'd look past ALL of her loses.
Ronda and Royce Gracie are very similar both were one dimensional and both were the best for a short amount of time until the sport passed them by. Ronda biggest pitfall was her coach Edmond convincing her she was some savage striker.
It used to be that all and any fighter was one dimensional. There was no mixed martial arts or mix martial schools anywhere. The original UFC was like bloodsport. who's "style" is superior. They werent walking around saying I can't do this , I am one dimensional.

I get it; he spent his life training to be a high level athlete, so he may have not been aware of social media for that many years, but he ends up coming across a really jacked great-grandfather.
I don't think we can or should forget Ronda's attitude at a given turn during her tenure. I was one of the people defending her amid a torrent of fans complaining about her poor sportsmanship and bad attitude. All this was well prior to her purported brain issues. Insults were flying while I was trying to put fires out in her defense. How could anyone exercise anything but what they express as they cast insults in the direction of those they claim are wicked without expressing wickedness themselves? In other words, if I refer to Chael Sonnen as an uppercase asshole, what then does that relegate me to but an uppercase asshole for having acted in a manner I'd accused Chael Sonnen of. You can't cry abuse while slapping someone who's never slapped you personally lest to relegate yourself an abuser. So, I defended until the cows finally came to roost at which point I, too, saw Ronda's actions as a motive for separation. The turn she refers to was the result of a process she had been forging over time via her own persona, cockiness, arrogance and egotism. In fact, she became so egotistical that she failed, and still fails, to see her own arrogance. Hence, "Pigs don't know pigs stink."
From what I barely understood Chael trying to convey in this video. (I'm a bit dense). I think she was trying to blame her poor fighting ability and losses, on freaking CTE. Is that correct?

She handled a loss poorly and her fans didn’t deserve that and so they moved on and now she lost that legacy in my opinion and nobody ever talks about or the younger people don’t even know her
Yeah, because the truth is her wins were excellent if you knew anything about WMMA at the time. She wasn't fighting B-Level fighters like Shevchenko was when the Flyweight division had just opened up, she was dispatching legends and up-and-comers of the time. It's a shame how people have flushed all that down the toilet
Rhonda must have been reading a WWE script during that interview.

yes, because Ronda was a master of distance and range before concussions

The consecutive finishes by arm bars was a giveaway, she was fighting soccer moms for the most part very early skillsets.
Ronda Rousey was the greatest fighter that happened to be named Ronda Rousey
I think she could be the most hated fighter. Shes a textbook example of how to dimish your career by alienating your fans
I think she's may be even more disliked than Tyron Woodley. That's actually impressive.
If you look at her interviews she doesn't care what people or fans think. She already knows the mma fans and MMA media dont like her. She is okay with that.
See how Justin Gaethje just got beat and everybody still loves the guy? He’s not making excuses, he accepts his losses, he goes hard to entertain, he gets back up again, he doesn’t blame everybody.

100% I agree
Ronda was a pioneer and had the greatest run in womens history. If she could just say "Im happy I was able to get the women the respect they deserved and I was able to go on a run and help out with the publicity of MMA.

She's not homeless, living in her car and showering at the gym anymore so I would say she's a success. Fighters have to have a reason. It doesn't have to be a very good reason but it has to be their reason.

Ya, everyone keeps bypassing that fact. She was a horrible person the whole time. Go back further and watch her interactions with her family too. Not good.
Truth is ...Ronda pnly walks to you if shes being praised...she doesn't want to talk about how bad she did in a fight ." Lets just talk about how great I am "
I knew Uncle Chael would jump on this. 😂
As someone who is significantly older than Chael Sonnen, I get a chuckle when he says things like "the kids called it Twitter." I get it; he spent his life training to be a high level athlete, so he may have not been aware of social media for that many years, but he ends up coming across a really jacked great-grandfather.
Lol, hes self aware and just does it as a joke

Conway West needs to happen.
She is #1 at being the easiest person to hate next to conor.

Jon Jones?
She just finally fought an elite striker with good foot work, great range iq and good takedown defence. That is it, that is all.
From what I barely understood Chael trying to convey in this video. (I'm a bit dense). I think she was trying to blame her poor fighting ability and losses, on freaking CTE. Is that correct?
@@Frip36 yeah basically and the fans wanting her to fight despite her not wanting to which is a horseshit excuse since she never fucking told anyone about that publically

I still remember laughing at people telling me that Ronda could beat up male fighters, and they called me crazy because I said she couldn't. I wasn't talking only about Ronda but women Vs men in general. It is amazing to me how many people out there think a woman can fight a man, all things considered, and that she can beat him, crazy.
It’s a wonder she got as far as she did with Zohan the Armenian as her coach.
During a particular time she had a valid case but she was like Mike Tyson. If you could get her out the first round the chances of beating her substantially went up and her last few MMA opponents proved it
Don't you ever compare Ronda to Mike again. Clown.

Let’s see Ronda box the winner of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson if she’s the greatest fighter of all time
Ronda is the epitome of losing yourself in your vocation. In the end it never mattered how good she was because when she lost, she lost her identity and broke down. Personally, I think Ronda is not even close to the other female champs. Ronda trained to grapple and the fans made her huge.
She is a great Judoka and she deserves that respect. Her well manicured career was built on her marketability in an Era that needed stars. UFC still has stars but they have a better foundation now than they did then. I don't think Schaub would fight now if you compared UFC then to now.
LOL!
Chael sold out
Chael, I loved how Holly knocked that pissed off look Rhonda had walking into the ring right off Rhonda's face. Amanda put the Nail in the coffin!
There is a difference between being a pioneer and being the greatest.
I think she just ran into two fighters in Holmes and Nunes that were highly competent and, most of all, confident and got that fade. I'm going with Occam's Razor over her stretch of an excuse.
Yeah she had the game on lock. Especially with that Goku level head movement. See, she only LOOKED like she was getting hit in the face. She was just moving so fast that you couldn't see the dodge.
Yeah... that's what happened... Swear to god.
I honestly respect your work Chael.
No one betrayed her. She has a cringe worthy case of main character syndrome. She was starting to embarrass herself win or lose. She's the only person to lose shadow boxing. She is just plain unlikable because she doesn't have any qualities to look up to if she isn't a winner.
