I have registered for your online shampoo bar session but noticed the formula is not the same as this one on RUclips. Is there a reason for this? Also, can I double the recipe as I know I will want to make more than one bar?

I tried this shampoo bar, thanks for sharing. It's true that it doesn't leave any greasy hair but it does make my hair too dry and frizzy. Plus my head was hitchy.

Thanks so much for your content, it's made me feel so much better about why shampoo bars likely aren't working for me! Do you know of an alternative for cocamidropopyl betaine? I'm not sure I'd want to use it based on recent research, but I'm not sure how to figure out what a good substitute would be. Thank you!!!
Hi Marta, thanks for sharing this recipe. I made it and I really love it. It was using soap-based shampoo bars before that I made myself, and I didn't like them. However, with those ones I didn't really need a conditioner, but I feel like I do need one with this one. So I'm trying a deep conditioning with olive oil every couple of weeks and it's working out wonderfully. I do have a questions, though, I cannot find the powder version of the sodium cocoyl isethionate here in the US, so I bought it from a Canadian seller, which is fine, but it's way more expensive due to shipping. Do you think I can use the other version? The one that looks like little rice grains :)? Thanks in advance!
Hi Patricia, I am happy you enjoyed the recipe! If your SCI is in grains it would be better to either grind them into a powder or you would need to melt them along with the CAPB and oils. It will take a long time to melt so I always prefer to grind it as it's faster :)

Very nice. Can I ask, why you used a preservative? I've always heard that soaps don't need a preservative. Is this preservative plant based and eco friendly? 😃
