      Hi, you can try a different amphoteric surfactant like sodium cocoamphoacetate, which is in solid form, so even better but if the shampoo is too hard, remove some clay and add more oil or another liquid surfactant to make up the liquid loss. Hope that makes sense!

    Hi Marta, thanks for sharing this recipe. I made it and I really love it. It was using soap-based shampoo bars before that I made myself, and I didn't like them. However, with those ones I didn't really need a conditioner, but I feel like I do need one with this one. So I'm trying a deep conditioning with olive oil every couple of weeks and it's working out wonderfully. I do have a questions, though, I cannot find the powder version of the sodium cocoyl isethionate here in the US, so I bought it from a Canadian seller, which is fine, but it's way more expensive due to shipping. Do you think I can use the other version? The one that looks like little rice grains :)? Thanks in advance!

    • @BottegaZeroWaste
      @BottegaZeroWaste  3 года назад +2

      Hi Patricia, I am happy you enjoyed the recipe! If your SCI is in grains it would be better to either grind them into a powder or you would need to melt them along with the CAPB and oils. It will take a long time to melt so I always prefer to grind it as it's faster :)

    Hi there!
    I'm not sure if anyone has already asked but can you explain the reasoning for the preservative. I understand water-based products or products that may come in contact with water that are closed in a container need a preservative. I'd imagine that just like with soap bars, you wouldn't need a preservative....help me understand🙏

      The one on the video is a detergent-based shampoo that has balanced pH. Unlike the soap-based shampo which has high alkaline pH.

    Ciao, grazie mille per questa ricetta! Lo shampoo è davvero efficace, lava benissimo ed è la prima volta che riesco a sentire i capelli davvero puliti dopo aver utilizzato uno shampoo solido. Purtroppo però, credo che sia una formulazione troppo pesante per i miei capelli sottili che tendono a sporcarsi molto facilmente e con questa non arrivo alle 48 ore prima di doverli lavare di nuovo. Penso sia a causa dell'olio di jojoba o del burro di cacao, potrei sostituirli in qualche modo? Grazie

    • @BottegaZeroWaste
      @BottegaZeroWaste  3 года назад +1

      Ciao, certo, prova usare dell'amido di mais al posto del burro di cacao! Oppure puoi togliere la jojoba, sostituiscila con della glicerina o pantenolo o sodium lactate. Fammi sapere come va!

    Hii Martha, Very nice video and thanks for sharing.
    Can we call it chemical free or toxins free natural shampoo bar?

    • @BottegaZeroWaste
      @BottegaZeroWaste  4 года назад +4

      Everything in nature is chemical so I would not say that! I would call it organic; some ingredients are nature derivatives, or nature identical so not necessarily 100% raw and natural. But that's not a bad thing!

    • @BottegaZeroWaste
      @BottegaZeroWaste  3 года назад +1

      Hi Maria Elena, you could try but I think that the shampoo might turn out a little soft as sodium olefin sulfonate tends to be softer

      it should be fine although these are different ingredients (unless the INCI is the same) and coco betaine is usually not as gentle as CAPB
