Sunday at our house is called Rotisserie Chicken Sunday, for over 10 years. I tuck the legs under the spit forks and bend the wing tips back under themselves. Great video!
I've been cooking chicken on by BBQ rotisserie for years and I've always seasoned it before I put it on the spit. I liked your idea to season it on a spit over a bowl. Much more efficient. Great tip! Thanks.
the rotisserie attachment for a Weber charcoal kettle grill is a must have! I use mine for birds, beef, ham, you name it. I use the rotisserie at least once a week, and often more. Always a crowd pleaser!
Just got my Weber Genesis II Stainless S-640 6 burner and can't wait to try 2 chickens. Better to get chickens and do them yourself because you can control the ingredients and the sodium levels. Store bought are pumped full of sodium so that they are appealing and get people to crave more. Quicker isn't always better. Plus you can really play with different flavour mixes or herbs. Thank you Weber for a superior product. Just a little irked to not have a gourmet BBQ grate for my grill since I've already gotten the pizza stone and the griddle pan for that reason. Glad I didn't get the Wok before finding this out. And thanks for the tasty ideas and instructor. Lol. Delicious!!
thats not just an idea its basically the LAW - or at least a MSUT DO thing for yummy potatoes and veggies to go with whichever meat you roast on the spit
I do two at a time. There are four of us eating. LOL. But I also use the infrared burner on my grill towards the end to crispy up the outside a bit more.
Webber Grill, Thank you, for making this Video to a person who doesn't cook on the barbie at all. But. What I like about this I can do all the meat stuff for the bird & just hand it off to my older brother who loves cooking on the barbie. And then we get a Good Cooked Chicken to have for a Lunch or Dinner meal. I wanted to turn some of it into Chicken Casserole. So, Like you said Cook a Bird. COOL, I think. Thanks again. A 61 yrs. Young Old Single Women & Mother yrs. ago. Now Child is All Grown up. COOL. Sincerely, Elsa R. (From out in California). Bye for now. May God & Jesus take Good care of you. :-).
A tip. Use a higher smoke point oil. On and inside the chicken. Take a sour apple, garlic and time and put inside the chicken. Take a couple of water soaked hickory wood chip or similar and put on the charcoal, it will smoke yes. Last 15 min use more heat and liquid butter on the chicken.
Nice technique, but what is the brazier then used for? Mine as never lit except with a match. I thought that you used that for browning the chicken and the gas burners to cook it through.
I wish I could afford this nice bbq, but sadly, I have to manage with store bought and eat in my dorm room. Nice video though Weber. Now I know for the future ;)
Why not just buy a EuroPro? It's electric, has convection oven mode, rotiserie mode with spit and holders, or toaster oven mode..with timer, temperature control...it's great for inside apartment.
My Weber Genesis Grill's rotisserie mounting is too low for convenient use. Got to remove grates and set a drip pan on flavorizer bars. Must use a small chicken that when trussed up with string will not drag parts on the drip pan. If you want to rotisserie two birds, need big drip pan. Just wish Genesis rotisserie assembly mounted a few inches higher including motor bracket and pivot points.
That was interesting! I’m planning to do this once the weather warms up! I was wondering if using my Weber char baskets, one on each side of my kettle, leaving an indirect zone in the middle would also be a good set up?
Dude! I'm hungry now, about To make my very 1st rotisserie chicken and that would have been so nice to show us what it looked like inside and just how juicy it is😭 lol Great video, You answered every single one of my questions! I will definitely, share, subscribe and hit that bell.... O and if you are really Vin Diesel's little bro? A Virtual autograph would be nice😉😁 Thanks again for the help !
Old video but great guide. Just wanted to mention at 2:00 that's not the neck of the chicken it's the end where the anal cavity was scooped out of, the little flap thing is the tail, it generates a lot of grease as well so you should cut it off guys. Cheers
Have you ever eaten a full rotisserie chicken? Like just walked into the store bought one and a couple of sodas then went home and just ate one with your bare hands? I've eaten two this week like that I'm gonna do it again tomorrow too. try it sometime trust me.
I wanted the fire to cook it directly so it tastes firebaked. Now I'm seeing that we have to use a pan for the dripping? The fire won't touch it that way.
Thank u
U saved my life

Moqa? Wth is this.

We call those $100.00 chickens. You go in for one chicken and end up spending $100.00!
I add rosemary to the inside cavity and spray the outside with a little white wine. Reminds me of the southern Italian way of cooking it.
Great idea
Moqa over here making me hungry😔
I really got a link to this video lol

Thanks for this helpful vid. The trussing simple to do and chicken cooked in the hour, so tender and tasty too.

What is the purpose of the Infrared Rotisserie Burner if you aren't going to use it?
For people who don’t have it… maybe idk just a guess
Put some potatoes with the skin, in that pan you put to gather the drippings...just an idea. Cheers!
thats not just an idea its basically the LAW - or at least a MSUT DO thing for yummy potatoes and veggies to go with whichever meat you roast on the spit
Do you put in from the start? And do you need any water in there to stop burning? Using weber q..
Add one tablespoon of salt inside the bird cavity before grilling
Great tip on placing it on spit and over bowl, I likely would’ve done it on a cutting board then placed on spit.
you method of oil and seasoning on the counter with a bowl is awesome, I just did it, and how easy is THAT?!! thank you for this tutorial...
I do two at a time. There are four of us eating. LOL. But I also use the infrared burner on my grill towards the end to crispy up the outside a bit more.
How does the rotisserie handle 2 at a time? Do you sandwich them between the split forks?
Why dont you use the rotisserie burner for the cook?
@@ttaffaro I was wondering that too! Are you supposed to use the rotisserie burner and the 2 fires?
Very nicely done, nicely presented and making it look easy.

Am I the only one that noticed the blue smokey mountain lol? Nice looking yard birds!
Yes I want to know more about the blue
What setting do you use for the IR burner? Do you turn it on for the entire duration of the cook?
Good idea about seasoning over the bowl! :0)
InstaBlaster...
Looks good my new idea roterseire brisket
im using an air fryer but this is really helpful ty
Store boughts have tons of msg. Make your own.
Yes! 🙌
Just suggesting to put the chicken on the spit BEFORE seasoning was a life changer.
Seriously moqa💀
all you need is a 2000 dollar grill and to own a home which is a fucking fortune to do now and a proper backyard space for it no big deal 🙃
Use that grease in some beans in the slow cooker. Makes for a great side
Excellently presented and to the point. Thank you!
Help someone put a link to this video
Empire chickens are great for rotisserie. Already brined. Season the cavity!
all good, if one has the time , most of us are on the run with two jobs, glad as hell to pick up a chicken all done , on the way home.
i agree on the weekday side, but great for weekends or days off imo
Missing the boat. Beer, oil, herbs S&P in the tray. Self basting. Best ever. Been doing it for 45 yeears
Moqa what is this..💀
Whoa! I love how you truss it. I’m going to try it that way.

Thank you for sending us here moqa 😻😻‼️
I want that blue WSM!

0:31 Wow to blue Weber BBQ, I have the Performer in blue but I have never seen the WSM in blue.
Great video but what temp are you cooking the chicken??? Helps with how long you have to cook it
Looks good, I like the way you do this 👍
Well presented and informative.
Which one had a better taste though I would have to think the charcoal does
Indeed

Cook fingerling potatoes underneath in the drip pan.
Man, I'm either over cooking my chickens, or that things raw. I've never seen a rotisserie chicken that light.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for, didn’t even know rotisseries were available on outdoor grills. Thank you.
You're very welcome! Happy grilling!
@@GrillwithWeber Which grills come with the rotisserie?
Hi! We appreciate the inquiry. Most of our gas grills have rotisseries available, including our 22.5'' charcoal grills. Hopefully this helps!

OK, where did he buy that blue WSM...Weber needs to make more color available for their WSM other than black!!!

Nah blud is making the whole community hungry 💀💀
I was expecting for you to tell me the seasonings you put on it.
Now I'm HUNGRY! Can't wait to try it.
I want that blue Smokey mountain
I'm 2.5 hours into rotisserie-ing my 3rd chicken. It takes FOREVER.. This one has been on for 2.5 hours. My kid is furious it is taking so long!
Maybe it's gonna take practice but the wings pop off the string, I use toothpicks to hold them. Any suggestions?
Give that chicken some finger love
A good amount of salt with the rub makes it best.
no mention of the ceramic back burner? did i miss that?
How do you season to taste like the "garlic herb" ones in the store? What herbs do you use and how much?
Great information first time watching keep up the good work
Hey man just wanna say I loved your video was awesome as will be definitely checking out your other videos
Did no body else see that blue wsm setting there?? Where is that at weber?
Weber is not replying to msges about this blue
this is how rich people cooking chicken at home))
How long for a 2.7kg bird? Do you ever stuff the chicken?
Weber please bring back the blue kettles!
Do you have the lid on or off when using rotisserie?
Have you ever eaten a full rotisserie chicken? Like just walked into the store bought one and a couple of sodas then went home and just ate one with your bare hands? I've eaten two this week like that I'm gonna do it again tomorrow too. try it sometime trust me.
I love you.
You didn't use the infrared burner??
Brilliant. Every question answered. Noice.
This one calls for Pink Lemonade.
Is no one going to talk about the blue WSM just sitting in the corner?
why didnt you use the infrared heater
I wanted the fire to cook it directly so it tastes firebaked. Now I'm seeing that we have to use a pan for the dripping? The fire won't touch it that way.
Thanks, appreciate some of the good tips there !
Thanks, that answered a lot
I like it simple, well done Sir.
