@@PCBuilderChannel Hey, thanks for the response. Has it not been launched by my knowledge the Dragonflight? If it's the best and low price build.
The PC Parts market is a total crapfest right now in these price ranges. See my best gaming prebuilt PCs from the end of June. That is the most reliable way to get a new gaming PC.
If I did the second build with a ryzen 5 instead of a ryzen 3, it would just be even better right? I currently have a ryzen 3 laptop - if I were to build the 2nd pc you described, with a ryzen 5, would I be able to have a good stream if I used the laptop to run obs and broadcast the stream? Awesome video, thanks for your help.
Definitely a better processor. You can use the laptop (I believe) with an external video capture card/dongle like this: amzn.to/2UZF2Ed Do know that the laptop's GPU and ability to stream will impact the quality.
I'm thinking I'm going to go with the exact second build but with a Ryzen 5 and a 1550 super. Would that mean I should select the Gigabyte b550m? Also would an intel SSD work with an AMD cpu and that board? Found a really cheap 1tb one. Thanks for being so helpful.
@@NuclearSad Any SSD will work with it. I'd get the ASRock B550M Pro4. It's currently on sale for only $89 - amazing black friday deal at Newegg. bit.ly/355LHlb It will likely sell out so I wouldn't wait.
Thank you! I do not build PCs for others. Something I may consider in the future but not in the right place now. However if you have a Microcenter around you they do build custom PCs for a fee.
What about AMD Ryzen R5-5600X CPU and GeForce RTX 3060, 12GB GDDR6 GPU if I also want to play other games. I heard this graphics card is really good for WoW specifically and the better ones look like overkill and too expensive for this game.
Hey is there a way u can post a link to the $400 computer build so i can make sure iv got it right. I live in the UK so im using a different site, would appreciate it as im a noob at this

This is a really old video so I wouldn't go off this list now. But hop into our "builds and parts" list on the channel page and check out our 5600 build guide. That should be close to what you are looking for.
I searched up the the requirements for Warcraft at it has at least a Ryzen 5 . How is the 590 build did you use at all ? I’m a heavy raider and would love to see how it does in raids .
The requirements are actually much lower than that. Check them out here - us.battle.net/support/en/article/256565 Either a FX-8350 or 3rd gen i5. Both very old processors. The "recommended" is higher but honestly the R3 3100 is fully capable. If you wanted to spend a bit more and do a Ryzen 5 3600 instead, you certainly could (especially since the 3100 is going in and out of stock the past week or two). Now that Shadowlands has been delayed, I've delayed my follow up video which will be higher end configurations for 1440p and 4K. I am still planning on doing them once a date gets announced . . . and of course we have Black Friday coming up so there's a chance there to snag some really good deals. Hope this helps!
Very well I checked them out . Ima be honest I have no clue about computers I was always told it’s cheaper to build your own . And half of the time I have no clue what I’m looking at . Ima trust your guide. As a fellow WoW player .
Looking forward to the follow up builds that are a bit more in price. Thanks for this video giving me the first step into configuring what I’m going to want for my WoW SL build.
great ideas i got arous b450m with ryzen 5, works great but hard find GPU's for good price, i have windforce 980 right now works 138fps , also M.2 NVME ssd, samsung evo970 smoothly for a year, now my power supply starting give up corsiar 650 watt
@@PCBuilderChannel also have to update montior for sharper image i have viewsonic gaming led montior (2014) maxed resoultion but won't go any higher than 1080
one more thing need update cooler so i can overclock but i've set my ryzen 5 2600 at 3.7ghz i benchmarked and maxed amd wraith sealth cooler can handle it , tried go higher, cpu cooler not enough, just need upgrade, , again you guys, comes with it can cool just fine make sure have good airflow in case
Question. What if I want to stay in the 400 dollar build but I want to get a graphics card. What changes could I make to the cpu or other parts to keep it around that price and performance? This will be my first build and I'm very new at this. I'd like to quest with the settings at 5 or 6 tops. I don't mind lowering that for dungeons and raids.
The $590 one is basically that. Unfortunately right now the US PC Parts market is really bad as everything is out of stock due to Black Friday and continuing supply challenges related to the pandemic. Hopefully things get back to something more normal in January.
@@PCBuilderChannel thank you for your reply. I've actually decided to go with the majority of the items in your build. As for the parts, I may have the possibility of buying them wholesale from China. I'm just concerned that getting something like the cpu going that route that my computer may end up in a different language.
quick question, I played WoW on a pc but sold it because it was getting outdated and busy with school. So I tried to play on my laptop which only has a I5 10th latest gen 8 gb of ram and intel inside. I played the tuturial on it which was a Pandarian and had no issues with it. Hello fellow wow player! If you are looking to build a 4k wow rig check out our 5600 build or 12400 build on the channel with an rtx 3060ti or better. If you have a really high refresh rate monitor you might
Yes! The naming is confusing. The "g" line of processors are always 1 generation behind. 3400g is a Zen+ processor with integrated graphics while the 3100 is a Zen 2 processor without integrated graphics.
@@idyllsend6481 I may have cut the shout out in the video (due to length, it is still in the video description), but all of these are based on the amazing and numerous benchmarks done by Hardware Numb3rs in dozens of WoW benchmark videos. Please check out his channel here: ruclips.net/channel/UCVTvrgSgjmEruGyyTclpq2w Per my notes, this is one of the benchmarks I relied on for the 3400g. Includes testing in open world, dungeons, and raids: ruclips.net/video/wOMv6G2u8Zw/видео.html
@@idyllsend6481 Yes no shadowlands testing. I'm not sure how good it would be even in Beta right now as there is always a lot of optimization that goes on just before launch (and shortly afterwards). BFA testing is probably a pretty good metric as there haven't been too many graphics overhauls other than adding some DLSS for shadows (only applies to ray tracing capable cards anyway).
im pretty cluesless when it comes to PC. but if i buy all this and put it together and press power i should be able to jump online and download World of warcraft. do i have to buy windows 10 and all that other stuff
Definitely not. The 2700X is a far better processor than the Ryzen 3 3100. The RX 590 will still get you great FPS at 1080p and even pretty good at 1440p. You can replace with an RX 5700 XT if you want - it is a much better card, but I'd make sure that you also have a monitor that will allow you to actually see that performance (590 is fine for a 1080p 60hz or 1440p 60hz monitor).
I do not reccoment AMD processors for WoW, single threat GHz is lower than Intel and It's what WoW require, multi threat is not well optimized in this game. Imo better Intel if ONLY for WoW
I personally have a much larger budget. What would you recommend to play WoW at 1440p, 60 fps, ultra settings? I would love to snag a 3000 series Nvidia or 6000 series Radeon, but I wouldn't mind an older GPU as long as the price is right. (BTW I watched your black Friday deals video, which has been very helpful. Thank you!)
If you have a much larger budget, check out my $1300 Ryzen 5600X build intended for a RTX 3070 or RX 6800 GPU. It doesn't take that much more to run Wow at 1440p 60FPS, and you could probably just go with an RX 5600 XT or RTX 2060 in the $600 build, maybe switching out the CPU for a Ryzen 3600.
You might want to pop over to reddit Build a PC Troubleshooting forum and post your build there. It's a great resource for suggestions. And just FYI this is a very old video, for updated awesome build lists see our latest video on the channel "Best Holiday Builds"
Do you mean the $600 one or the $400 one? Either could have a couple tabs open, but I wouldn't push it. Unfortunately the PC parts market has been completely wiped out by Black Friday and low availability due to the pandemic since I made this video. Very hard to get a lot of these parts right now.
Unfortunately a lot of the parts listed here are no longer available and there is a GPU shortage. So I would check out my Best Prebuilt Gaming Build guide. As a Wow player I would recommend something with the gtx 1660 super or better for 1080p raiding. Or a 3060 or better for 1440p. On the prebuilt video you can expand the description for links
@@PCBuilderChannel thank you so much for the info. I don't know much about computers and want to find the perfect build for big raids and also good graphics "when not raiding" do you know any good sites that sells computer parts that doesn't cost an arm and a leg lol
Interchangeable with the 1660 Super, so don’t overpay for it. Has been the standard “play any game at 60 FPS in 1080p” card for a while. But if you are only gaming, the RX 5600XT has come down in price and is 25% better FPS.

(Silicon Power 256GB NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 TLC SSD R/W up to 2,100MB/s and 1,200MB/s) OR I guess I could go with the 500gb Kingston a2000 storage supply. Also cant find the zalman case on amazon or newegg, would this case work? (Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow CC-9011173-WW Black Steel / Plastic / Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Computer Case)
Wow, there is some real parts shortages going on in the budget market right now (I've been focused on the Ryzen 5000 launch). I re-worked the parts lists and added direct links. The Silicon Power 500gb drive is back in stock amzn.to/3kRnNQh . Corsair case is a very nice one and will work, the Zalman S2 and S3 are back in stock on Amazon but for only $14 more (newegg sale starts in 2 hours) I'd go with the Corsair iCUE 220T because damn it looks nice. You may need a fan controller amzn.to/3pRZ1mx if you use the revised B450 DS3H motherboard (if you get the Ryzen 3100, get the on sale ASRock B550M Pro4 as it is a great board, but it will not work with the Ryzen 2600 I just put in as an alternate CPU since the 3100 is way out of stock). Finally, sub in an AMD RX 5500 XT for the graphics card if you are having trouble finding a GTX 1650 Super for less than $180.
Considering those GPUs are being scalped for the price of these PC these days this video def didn't age well. GL build anything decent for less than $800.
@@PCBuilderChannel Well, I lucked out and ended up getting a 1660 super for $300 which, considering they are easily selling for $700 right now I think I got an excellent deal. Crazy times indeed. Luckily though the Ryzen 3400/3600 is going to do the job for ultra 1080p gaming for WoW and those are still cheap and viable options. But, I def wouldn't suggest anything less than what you suggested here in a 1650 if you wanna play on ultra. Until those GPU prices normalize (not any time soon) People should expect to pay way more depending on what GPU they want.

As I want 2 identical ones for me and my partner, I'm thinking maybe i could get something around 600-800. But still good quality of play. Of not, I'll do what I can getting the build i have. If it's the best and low price build.
@@PCBuilderChannel I would also be very interested in seeing a video for a budget build in preparation for Dragonflight!
I watched this build guide and built a pc using a 2200g and another build for my dad using an athlon 3000g and we both play shadowlands
Awesome! Hope you are enjoying the expansion.
@@PCBuilderChannel yes we are, we are also very surprised on the performance in raids, thankful for this budget build!
Hey if I did the 590 build with an intel core i5 would that work for the new WoW?
hey there PC Builder it's been almost a year since this video, is there any chance you could make an updated video for a budget WoW pc?
Big fan, question do you build PC's for viewers?
Thank you! I do not build PCs for others. Something I may consider in the future but not in the right place now. However if you have a Microcenter around you they do build custom PCs for a fee.
@@PCBuilderChannel thank you so much, love your channel and will share your videos to all my friends!
Can you make one for dragonflight? :)
What about AMD Ryzen R5-5600X CPU and GeForce RTX 3060, 12GB GDDR6 GPU if I also want to play other games. I heard this graphics card is really good for WoW specifically and the better ones look like overkill and too expensive for this game.
I think that’s a great combo
Hey is there a way u can post a link to the $400 computer build so i can make sure iv got it right. I live in the UK so im using a different site, would appreciate it as im a noob at this
or the $590 one
Links are in the description including to pcpartpicker.com build. Is there something else you are looking for? You can change your country in pcpartpicker.com and it will use local vendors.
@@PCBuilderChannel ah nice one thanks, and no im just looking to be able to run it smoothly not too fussed about the graphics im used to having them on 1/10 xD
I want to start playing on a pc and I want to try wow first, I would like an all white pc can I do this in the budget range of the $600 pc?
This is a really old video so I wouldn't go off this list now. But hop into our "builds and parts" list on the channel page and check out our 5600 build guide. That should be close to what you are looking for.
I searched up the the requirements for Warcraft at it has at least a Ryzen 5 . How is the 590 build did you use at all ? I’m a heavy raider and would love to see how it does in raids .
The requirements are actually much lower than that. Check them out here - us.battle.net/support/en/article/256565
Either a FX-8350 or 3rd gen i5.
Is Vanilla WOW still going on? Or was that just open for a few months?? I only played WOW back in 2006 to 2008
Yep Classic is still going (:
@@PCBuilderChannel Awesome. I might be back on in a couple months. Would rather build a PC this time around. Tyty
great ideas i got arous b450m with ryzen 5, works great but hard find GPU's for good price, i have windforce 980 right now works 138fps , also M.2 NVME ssd, samsung evo970 smoothly for a year, now my power supply starting give up corsiar 650 watt
Glad this was helpful! I think I'd hold on to the GTX 980 over a Ryzen 3400g APU though, as the 980 still has quite a bit more power.
Do you think shadowlands is playable on this b4 is waste my money on the game. Thanks
Just using the integrated GPU? Yes, but it's going to be low FPS and low settings on the graphics.
@@PCBuilderChannel Yes unfortunately. OK thanks!

dropping nuggets about ryzen, didn't know about the integrated graphics or that the 3100 was better :D
Yes! The naming is confusing. The "g" line of processors are always 1 generation behind. 3400g is a Zen+ processor with integrated graphics while the 3100 is a Zen 2 processor without integrated graphics.
@@PCBuilderChannel Can you please do some benchmarking? On the 3400G in a dungeon or raid thanks.
@@idyllsend6481 I may have cut the shout out in the video (due to length, it is still in the video description), but all of these are based on the amazing and numerous benchmarks done by Hardware Numb3rs in dozens of WoW benchmark videos. Please check out his channel here: ruclips.net/channel/UCVTvrgSgjmEruGyyTclpq2w
Per my notes, this is one of the benchmarks I relied on for the 3400g. Includes testing in open world, dungeons, and raids: ruclips.net/video/wOMv6G2u8Zw/видео.html
@@PCBuilderChannel There has yet to be any Shadowlands testing but when I asked he said it was coming.
Thank you regardless!
Sadly you need Windows, and later buy WoW and later buy monthly subscription :(
Should I replace my 2700x to a 3100 I’m also thinking replace my rx 590 to a 5700xt
How do you think a Gtx 760 would do with an I3 3.2gz?
It will definitely play WoW at lower settings.
I do not reccoment AMD processors for WoW, single threat GHz is lower than Intel and It's what WoW require, multi threat is not well optimized in this game. Imo better Intel if ONLY for WoW
This guys a bad ass
Thank you!
@@PCBuilderChannel Awesome, I will check it out. Thanks!
Hardware Numb3rs came out with some new WoW Shadowlands benchmarks today, RX 5600 XT will still easily run WoW at 1440p 60 FPS. So will the RTX 2060.
Can anyone tell me how to tell if it's internet or hardware causing low fps and delays and long load screens.
You might want to pop over to reddit Build a PC Troubleshooting forum and post your build there. It's a great resource for suggestions. And just FYI this is a very old video, for updated awesome build lists see our latest video on the channel "Best Holiday Builds"
For the $500 one does it run wow a 60 frames consistently like can I have tabs open in the background and play wow?
Do you mean the $600 one or the $400 one? Either could have a couple tabs open, but I wouldn't push it. Unfortunately the PC parts market has been completely wiped out by Black Friday and low availability due to the pandemic since I made this video. Very hard to get a lot of these parts right now.
@@PCBuilderChannel the 600 dollar one
@@epicminion3986 If you want a lot open in the background, I'd consider moving the CPU to a Ryzen 3600.
@@PCBuilderChannel how do you think this would run wow pcpartpicker.com/user/Epicminion3/saved/CZvgbv
went up to 750 dollars rip
Would these be good for big raids?
Anyone have a link to the more expensive wow, build looking to run 1440p, 144mhz, 2 monitor, 60fps+?
Check out our "builds and parts" list on the channel page. There are three builds that would be good for this there: the 5600x, 12600k, or 12400,

What do you think about the gtx 1660 ti?
Horde all day everyday. Subbed
Interchangeable with the 1660 Super, so don’t overpay for it. Has been the standard “play any game at 60 FPS in 1080p” card for a while. But if you are only gaming, the RX 5600XT has come down in price and is 25% better FPS.

Hello, thank you for the video as I am looking to get back into WoW after not being able to play for a couple years due to an outdated computer.
@@PCBuilderChannel does the 550 board need updates to work with the 3100? or is it ok out the box?
@@M3DL33 Yes. B550 will work with any Ryzen 3000 series out of the box except 3200g and 3400g.
Considering those GPUs are being scalped for the price of these PC these days this video def didn't age well. GL build anything decent for less than $800.
Yep! Crazy how much it’s all changed.
