What a Cool car, a Long Roof with a Big block. That's hard to beat in my world, and with simulated wood grain, Sweet. I'm sure you have some good memories of that Jewel. Thanks for stopping by and have a good safe weekend.👍👍
Very enjoyable Marcus i got the Revell Ford 32 roadster for Christmas i want to build a salt flats racer with it at some point , all the best . Regards Gav.
Thanks Gav, I appreciate ya stopping by. A Salt Flats build would be really cool. I have only one thing on my bucket list before I'm gone and that's to go to Bonneville during Speed week. That would be so cool to check out all those Cool cars. Thanks again and have a good safe weekend.👍👍
Thanks Link, I appreciate that. You have a good weekend and a safe New Year's. I hope you had a really good Christmas at your parent's. Thanks for stopping by Link.👍👍
Cool shoutouts! Nice Torino gift. My dad had a fastback Torino and I remember laying on the package tray in that big back window watching it rain. Sweet update, Marcus! Happy New Year!!!
Thanks Don, I appreciate that. I remember my dad had a Talledega Torino one time. He sold it to one of his brothers, I also remember his wife, my aunt throwing one of those old glass pepsi bottles through the back glass, lol. Crazy. I hope the Mrs. is doing well 🙏 and have a good safe weekend and New Years.
I've lived in a small town in the California desert for 35 years. The USPS does not pick up or deliver to my town. That is done by independent contractors. Most mail arrives 7 to 10 days after postmark. When I was doing business with the local real estate office 3/4 of a mile from my house, the lady wrote a letter to me and put it in the mail pickup box at the local privately run post office. When it arrived at my mailbox, the postmark was 4 days and 90 miles away in Bakersfield after it was prepared and mailed. Then another 9 days to delivery. Look up how long it took the Pony Express to get mail from New York to San Francisco 165 years ago. 10 days. About the same as USPS moving a letter 3/4 of a mile now. Progress is often NOT in a forward direction.
hi Marcus... awesome card shout out... you can do lots of cool stuff with a green screen... you build is coming along nicely...what do you use for paint?? thx 4 sharing & happy new year... vinny
Thanks Vinny, that was cool with you sitting behind the wheel of your model car. That flat black I use is Great Dane flat black in a rattle can. We're a Great Dane semi trailer dealer where I work. I got a spray booth, now a compressor and an airbrush and I'll be ready to screw up a lot of paint jobs. Thanks again Vinny, Have a good safe weekend.👍👍
Dad had a 66 Caprice long roof. Yellow with woodgrain. And a 396 under the hood!! I loved driving that one!!!
