No matter you are familiar with Chinese Mythology or not, no matter you like this type of game or not, you can't deny the Chinese developers put sheer amount of work in gameplay, sceneries, art work, music and presentation of the myth. This might be the best look & feel of a game out of the box. Absolute respect! During the game, after Sun Wukong beats the bosses, he can absorb their abilities or acquire their weapons as his. During fighting with other bosses, he can transform into the bosses he absorbed before and use their unique abilities. The 72 transformation and 81 devils are coming from the original Chinese Mythology, Journey To The West. I don't think Game Science will implement all of them, because it won't be practical for players to manipulate that many forms and abilities. But, hey, let's wait and see.
The last time I saw such an exciting promo video was for Tears of the Kingdom. I have to say, Game Science really knows how to stir up players' emotions. I hope the game's quality exceeds my expectations. The Buddhist rap in the video was incredibly captivating. What's even more exciting is seeing people outside the East Asian cultural sphere enjoying this form of expression. By the way, Game Science has put in a lot of effort to ensure the cultural depth of their work. But I personally hold that this guy might be wukong itself cuz someone figuered out that he look very alike to Wukong's actor in Journey to The West(1986 version) himself. That's a really good guess actually! So many things in this game have shown respect to this classic tv series like the music and some of the model design. Wukong reps the players, Puti or whatever the Master is, Game science, and the ugly freaky monster reps Sweetbaby Inc. This is the game science way of saying, "Sit down, son. We don't give a fk about what you said. We and our audience are so tightly bonded that you cannot turn us against others!" Bruh, As a Chinese descendant, the power of us telling our story without the whitewashed narrative makes me hyped every single time, and I hope in the future, we see more of these narrative kicking the ass of Anglo-American colonialism and neocolonialism!

You are right there are so much thoughts and intentions put into this trailer. Some say the last scene is game science mocking IGN and sweet baby’s futile attempt. 😂 with wukong and master chilling and having cup of tea. it might seem a bit out of context.
You can tell there's a lot of Buddhist and Chinese folklore references in this game that is going to go over people's heads, but regardless this game looks ridiculously great. I can't wait to play It, Don't read any reviews, guys just go into it and make up your own mind.

Nope, the old man is an unknown char so far(no such char in JTTW), we guessed is possibly he is a guide man like other RPG game(fire keeper in dark soul, emma in sekiro), and wukong's real teacher is "puti laozu" which is one of the most powerful gods in dao's mythology.

Why did you cut the baby period? He is considered as the baby Maitreya. In the Journey to the West tv show, Maitreya helped Wukong beat a yaoguai, transforming into a watermelon eaten by the yaoguai and making him belly-ache.

You get a clear visual on me if ever I end up getting out of my chair or doing wacky nonsense, while the video is still in a size easy for people to see. Though to be frank, the video is literally the same size I've always had it for all my videos. It's really just my camera on the left side being cropped out so the video has a black background for you to be able to focus on it.
