just so you know i saw somewhere i think it was on someones video but devs said 20 hours for the game is if you skip everything and just bear bosses back to back but total exploration and all that you could be looking at about 80 plus hours i believe along with a NG+

During the game, after Sun Wukong beats the bosses, he can absorb their abilities or acquire their weapons as his. During fighting with other bosses, he can transform into the bosses he absorbed before and use their unique abilities. The 72 transformation and 81 devils are coming from the original Chinese Mythology, Journey To The West. I don't think Game Science will implement all of them, because it won't be practical for players to manipulate that many forms and abilities.

Wu Kong's storage is his ear. Like the magical bags of RPG games, he shrinks everything down with magic and stores them in his extra-dimensional space... that are his ears lol. Hey, it's safer than a magical bag that can be stolen or lost.

That is why when you die, it's very forgiving and you only lose small amounts of EXP. That is why you gain another health bar when you transform, it's the same reason why magic is so strong. It's to cater to everyone. Despite only having One difficulty level, it's there to help players who are not used to action games get hits on the boss, learn, and have fun without feeling that it's hopeless. For hardcore players who crave a challenge, if you can beat the boss quick, they might have a secret phase 2 that is even harder so you are able to get that challenge or secret bosses that are much harder but in the same zone accessible through secrets. A casual player can ignore them til they get stronger but a hardcore player can tackle these bosses earlier. The method of story telling is also closer to God of War. With Cutscenes and focusing on dialogue, emotions, relationships between characters that might have nothing to do with combat.

No that's a good buddha who helped Wu Kong. 弥勒佛 or the Maitreya buddha. He transformed himself and Wu Kong into watermelons to be eaten by the Yellowbrow demon, so Wu Kong can return to normal form to beat up the demon from the inside. Guess where the Majin Buu eating Vegito candy came from?

Day 1 for any game is a bad idea nowadays unless it's on steam. I have a feeling this is gonna run pretty badly even on my beast pc. The benchmark didn't give me much confidence

assuming there are 80 bosses/ tasks, and a player takes 12 minutes to solve 1 averagely, it is 960 minutes, or 16 hours.
