  • You get a wish if you do, maybe? That parts still a little fuzzy.

I've been trying to make one but the fact that find familiar has a GP material cost and takes 10 minutes+ is really making things difficult. Like, to randomly equip charcoal in hand and start doing a ritual just to contact your familiar? That messes with the theme. Also the idea that you can only really use decent spells twice is also a bummer.

Wow! I can't believe how relevant this is for my friend's dnd character. I think this is really well made, thank you. We were considering making her class a Barblock. Would that work for this concept and how relevant would spellcasting be in that case?

I'm glad you enjoy, that mix is interesting, and you would certainly need to watch your spell choice, but with the transformation I could see it working

Barblock? Is that a shorthand for a barbarian/warlock multiclass?

@@andresmarrero8666 yes, i think that is the popular term

@@octo5042 so what kind of barbarian are you guys planning to merge with the magical girl?

@@andresmarrero8666 unsure, I haven't discussed the idea much with her, but I was thinking that it would either be battlerager or wild magic.
the build would be more barbarian-focused and optomize strength vs charisma, with the spell choices being more of a help than used to attack.
before I saw this video I was also considering that the rages could be flavored as a transformation.

One of my player girl, play a magical girl in d&d 3.5
An archétype who can change forme. (many many choices) Eat 1 ot 2 level.
Any power usable at will with the feat.
One thématics... because it's cool ^^
    Familiar, not obligated.
Classe ? Pick the gameplay style you wanna, you are aldery a magical girl.
The hardest thing is to inflict healing damage to ennemies, yes in d&d3.5 if you have too much temporary hit point (max hp normal X2), you die and become an elemental of live ^^ (Rule is in the description of plane of live)
Pain damage existe... But i never found a way to do love/hapiness damage. Pleasure existed but ... no.

Oh dear this class is partially inspired by Madoka. That show was more interested in tormenting its characters and effectively created a new subgenre called dark magical girl which burned out the entire magical girl genre because people don't like seeing their characters be tormented senselessly. There is a reason why the Precure series is the longest running and most successful magical girl series while Madoka Magica and its compatriots are not.
I suppose the mecha magical girls would be artificers with how mechanized their magic tends to be if not outright technology at points. While Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is credited as the progenitor of the subgenre (along with Nanoha herself being viewed as one of the four most powerful magical girls alongside Sakura, Sailor Moon, and Madoka) the concept was present before even the Sailor Moon days, back when magical girls were more slice of life and didn't have that superhero aspect injected into them. The first mecha magical girl was a kind of fanmade spinoff made for some convention that starred a magical android. The magical girl herself was an android with all the detailed work that implies. People have been merging magical girls and robots for a long time before Nanoha even showed up and created the subgenre.
I know way too much about this genre for some reason. I suppose browsing RUclips videos for five years will do that.
