  • Ever wondered how our kiddos perceive money? In our latest episode, I take a dive into the hilarious world of my children's financial wisdom-or lack thereof. From their earnest attempts at saving to the comical spending sprees, it's a journey filled with chuckles and face-palms. Who knew a trip to the corner donut shop could teach us so much about economics?

    ABOUT US
Female comedy duo Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley have been performing, teaching, and writing comedy internationally for a combined 40+ years. They have been moms for one quarter of that time and it shows. How do they cope? They laugh about all of the craziness that comes with being a mom and they want you to laugh about it too! From snot to stretchmarks to sleepless nights, Kristin and Jen know firsthand that parenting is a hard job and they invite you to join them in taking it all a little less seriously (even if for a few short minutes a day). After all, Jen currently has four days of dry shampoo in her hair and Kristin’s keys are still in her front door. They try, they fail, they support each other, and they mom as hard as they can.

The way Kristen talks about her son is the way my mom talks about me..which is why I live thousands of miles away and no longer include her in messages involving my daughter.

Parent tip for when you know you will spend the day in ride lines, download Heads Up. It really makes the time fly and you get some good “face” time with the kids. Mine are adults now and we wouldn’t do Disneyland without it!

Kristen, hearing that your vacation was not restful, and recharging made me feel just a little bit better (sorry). During spring break ours started awful but ended maybe as a C+.
Sometimes no matter how hard you try to do your due diligence the Airbnb you choose is in a town full of crackheads, you pull up to it and there’s trash all over the front yard and the house across the street has cars on cinderblocks in the front yard. Then your husband starts yelling saying yeah this is a shit hole. After crying yelling and kids (9yr old daughter, 13yr old son) literally shaking because they are so scared to be at such a shit hole we were able to find another last-minute Airbnb since we canceled on the spot. We only got back a little less than half of our money.
It was literally one of the worst vacations in my entire life. Thank you for being real.
Anyways, have a great day. Maybe we’ll see you guys at Disney or Universal one time.
