Hey Creative Friends! Welcome to Day 5 of my 12 Days of Christmas Stash Busting Challenge!! I do hope you join me along the way and use up your Christmas stash 🎄 You can share your Christmas projects here: facebook.com/groups/1391120537656015
💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 I made the mistake of making interactive cards once for my kids.. now I'm not allowed to just make a "card" for them unless it does something! I did wrong.. hahaha, putting this video in my "list of ideas" folder, thanks.
That will teach you for going above and beyond! 😱 I hope they like this one and it maybe gives you a few ideas on how to change it up for the coming years 💗
Oh my goodness, I never would have thought to use my bone folder on the cutting track of my trimmer. Thank you for showing that. I feel so silly never to have realized how easy that would be!😂👍🏻
Hey Robin! Yes, I do it that way because my score board is one for cards so it's small.... I was going to buy a bigger one until I realised I can just use the groove on the trimmer and my bone folder for the 12 x 12 pages. Very handy dandy!! So glad you enjoyed this video 💗
Hey Margi! I am so so glad you are enjoying this series, it's been so fun to create 🌸 I do have a few videos on the channel for the shakers including this one which I think you'll find helpful: ruclips.net/video/yMgAN6GcBac/видео.html
I only recently found your videos. I particularly like this one . . . I'm not big on journaling or scrapbooking. Those projects tend to be too big for me to finish (fancy cards are more my speed!). But this, I think I could handle. Think I might make a few for friends. Thanks for sharing - I look forward to more of your videos!
Thank you so much Lisa! I totally understand. I started all those years ago with card making because it was something I could do start to finish in one sitting, so I do get it. That's why I don't scrapbook chronologically or anything like that, I just make one page at a time. It feels a lot less overwhelming for me that way. Glad you enjoyed this one 👌
I love, love, love this idea also. I am eager to try this idea as well. It is a super cute idea and would make a quick and easy gift. Thank you so very much for another wonderful and helpful tutorial. You sure have a big stash of Christmas supplies to get through. It is surprising how much our stash grows over the years. I am very excited about your next video coming up. I think you may get your box of supplies used up with all the beautiful projects you are making.🙂❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for popping by Maree! These are super fun, I certainly did loose track of time creating them. I'd love to do some in non-christmasy papers as happy mail. So glad you are enjoying this series, yes, I have been busy!
I wish you could show us your process whence making shaker with sewing machine, because I don’t see any repeated stitching whatsoever. I better get practicing lol
Hey Tracy! You mean that stitching part? I tend not to record that because my machine is set up in a different spot to my recording set up. I am planning on doing a whole video on stitching on paper early in the new year so stay tuned for that (and subscribe so you don't miss it). I know many creatives have questions about how I do it and it is something I've been working on. You will see it in January some time. 🥰
Well@@cherylmccafferty2547 you certainly did find the right channel! I am loving this series and seeing just how much of that paper we can all use up! xox
Hey, I love that you are bringing back sewing on paper. When you do your sewing layers, like the vellum shaker, are you just sewing those two layers together and then glueing to the front of the project? Or go through the third. These are so pretty! Great mini photo albums
Yes, so I stitch the vellum and paper together separately and then add it to the card with tape. This hides the stitching on the back and means I'm putting minimal layers through my machine. You can stitch through the third layer if you want (it will go through) I do it this way though so that the back of the stitches are hidden. Hope this helps, and as I mentioned on your other comment, the stitching video is coming, I just put it on hold to do this Christmas series. It's top of my list for January.
This is such an excellent way to use up all of my excess Christmas stash. I love this idea. They would make the perfect Christmas “cards”. I have a 4 day retreat this weekend and will work on making some of these. Thanks so much Gwen!!
Thanks so much Betsy! So glad you enjoyed this one, these would be the perfect thing to create at retreat, I find them so fun to make 👌 It's funny, I wasn't sure what to call them because they could be used for so so many things. I love that they are a card with a lot of extra features 🎀
Hi I love your videos, I am only learning and you tutorials are easy to follow. If possible when you do the measurements can you also do the centimetres measurements as well. Hi from South Australia.
Hey Anne-marie! So glad you found the channel. So glad you're enjoying the tutorials. I use inches because I work mainly in inches. It's funny because I find a lot of paper crafts still use inches, maybe because a lot of gals are in the US?? I have thought to add cm but I am worried that it will be confusing to do both. I'll ask the community and see what they think and work with the majority. I am really glad you found the channel though and that you're enjoying the tutorials, it's nice to have you here!
Hey lovely... welcome and thanks for subscribing!! I've mainly put in them photos and gift cards and a tea bags for my mum or family friends for xmas. I've also made them as a little happy mail thing for crafty friends and included Washi tape and embellishment pieces. They do need to sit quite flat.
You could find something small and round, like maybe the lid off of a water bottle and trace it with pencil and then cut it with scissors. It won't be as clean a finish BUT it will work!

I think I would fill one with my favorite Xmas recipes to give to my daughter!
Ohhhh, I LOVE this idea! A mini Christmas recipe album, that's fantastic!
I love making mini albums. That's a great idea for the ugly papers and people really enjoy receiving them.
Mini albums make the best gifts! I love making them too, they are so fun! 🌸

Thanks so much Linda!!! 😊 How cute are those emoji 🥰 🐨 🥰
I like this folio. It could be adapted to be a card folio, for gifted sets. I'll have to make one and then see what needs to be changed!❤
Ohhh I didn't think of that! I love the idea of gifting cards as a set, can't wait to see how it turns out 👏
@@CreatedByGwen I'd love to see what you come up with !
🌸🌸🌸
@CreatedByGwen I just finished a huge batch of cards! I'm giving a set to my husband and will be needing a folio for them!

Hello, this is a great idea. Please could you tell me the size of your circle punch that you use as I need to buy one! Many thanks.
I would recommend something like this: amzn.to/3QYebVJ You will get so much use out of these! I'd use the 1 inch on this project. ❤️
These are so cute but what do you put in them for gifts besides a tea bag or gift cards? New subscriber here. 😊

I have a few actually, I linked one to the other comment and there is this one here as well: ruclips.net/video/PvJl_Fv46J4/видео.html
I do not have the circle punch so is there a way to do the circle punch some other way. Thanks
