- My opinions of the Ozark Trail smokeless fire pit after burning at least 12 fires in it over three months.
I find it to be a good value for the money and a nice pit for two people.
I have super mini no name version of this stove that has proved to be useful over time. Thanks Brother!
I have a cheap PRC stove too. Works fine. I don't see a real reason to spend extra money for a name on the side of these things.
I plan on acquiring one of these style stoves soon. Waiting for the price to drop a little. I might be waiting a long time, the way things are going! Thanks for sharing your review!
They work great. You will want to get one bigger than this one, as micro-managing the wood will certainly sour you on the experience. Carolina Chris has one, and I am pretty sure he likes his.
Looks not bad to me. Nice hat. Thank you for the review, Fernbark. Stay safe and stay warm
Works fine, it is a good deal compared to the competitor.
Hey man. Nice one. Smashed that thumbs up!
Hi Fernbark. Nice review. I've been thinking about getting one of these. Very informative.
They work great, but I think you would be happier with a larger version than 15 inches.
@FernbarkFrist I found a 21 inch. Different brand, for just a little higher in price.
@@tracyphillips3325It will be worth the extra money.
@@tracyphillips3325 curious, what brand and price??
@MrMatt713 , I can't really remember now. You can Google it, and a lot of different brands will pop up.
Pack your wood tightly, on end with the tips just below the holes, and you’ll get a good long hot burn
Coals? Do you use charcoal?
Not in this product, but once your wood burns down, it becomes coals.
Have you tried pellets ?
Not in this unit, but I have tried them in my solo stove. Works pretty good.
maybe raise it on some bricks so it can breathe in on the bottom instead of putting it in a hole
The reason the hole is there is so that you can feel the heat from the fire. If it sits up higher you cannot feel the warmth on your legs. I have been using a solo stove up there for nine years. Believe me on this.
