Godfather-esque scenes are an element of everyday life as cartel narco-businessmen take over northern Mexico small businesses. The ever present threat in the mind of the entrepreneur isn't just customers and inventory, it's if they grow too big, the cartel will come take their business away from them, or worse. It's shocking to see the level of penetration the cartels have into the every day Mexican economy as they seek ever more ways to launder their dirty money.
