Paper Mario is not a remake. On the Nintendo page it says that it’s a “visually enhanced” version.
This is why it should be a case by case basis. Some things called "Remake" are "Remastered", some "Remasters" are actually ports or "Director's Cut", etc

There is no episode, they will never mention this again until January 2025
@@jeremyvisser3877Typically on other shows where they do this draft, they do a quick overview of the previous year scores and final standings. It's a bit strange to do this but not show the results
I enjoyed the episode but it is tough because there are so many games we don’t even know about releasing later in the year, hopefully they do end up with and update show maybe half way through the year as Tim mentioned there could be
Maybe with enough asking they'll do an update but at the same time, dont hold your breath as theyve never done an update. Best way to stay informed is to visit their league on the website

Helldivers 2 is probably a pretty safe pick the first game is sitting at 81 rn I imagine the second one will be around 85
The 40 dollar price tag is a flag to me. Seems like it will be feature light and the environments look kinda boring. All desert.

@@thomasalley3121 the first game wasn't about the environments and story. It was all about the gun play and awesome load outs you could do. Also playing with friends was a huge part. If helldivers2 can nail that in 3rd person I'm sure it'll reach mid 80's. Heck i could see it being 90s
Where can i find the results of the previous fantasy drafts?
As much as we are doubting Mike and Tim, if their games come out with scores they almost instantly win major points. Nintendo is almost unfairly snagging points due to beloved characters and fun worlds with Mario alone.
But also Tim has the biggest risk with unannounced games all over the place. I think Mike might give ppl an upset if all games have scores, since he has only cult beloved games that devs all hit over 80 and 90 before.
Bless has games that could all have technical achievement awards.
The other thing is Greg has the best "for sure" list. So if the others drop the ball, Greg wins again.
Eiyuden Chronicles is a good pick I reckon, also rogers counter pick of dragons dogma 2 seems like a mistake

WRT Hades 2. The League is set to Only needs score. I don't think that Hades 2 will be getting a 90 straight away but I think it'll get enough Early Access reviews to give Mike a Score. Decent draft.
Greg's win felt cheap last year, glad the rules are being patched up. We have a good group that should be engaged throughout the year, so should be a good one!

Dragon Quest III HD-2D could be a sleeper hit if it releases this year. Seems like it should as it's probably not technically demanding and the teaser trailer came out in 2021.

I'd like if we got updates on the draft throughout the year. Like once a month on gamescast, pull up the draft and review it. These are fun for you all bc your actively playing it. If we don't hear about this til Jan '25, then I'm not invested.

100% with Bless on MGS Delta. Konami has a proven track record of fundamentally not understanding what makes their games special and completely shitting the bed. Doing a modern MGS3 remake was always going to be an uphill battle, doing that with an unproven studio AND without Kojima has a higher chance of being bad than it does even being as good as the original. Same for Silent Hill 2 Remake, these are properties and IP that are so, so easy to fuck up, and I do not even remotely trust Konami to give these games the time, budgets, and respect they need to be great.

3 is absolutely fantastic and 3 Reload will make it way more player friendly and modern. There’s no connected plot between persona games so 3 Reload is a perfect place to jump in while the hype is high.
