This takes Napkin Art to a whole new level
Thanks, Brenda!
Flipping the page made all the difference. Beautiful
Amazing. Classical music at the end was a perfect choice. The journey can be both the creative process making the page and that the page itself looked a bit like a map with the blackened crackle as mountain ranges.
Thank you!!! ❤️
Wow the black border really popped everything up at the end. Beautiful page.
I think so too! Thanks for watching, Cathy!
Omg never ever thought about using a pen for aging!! Genius and soooo much easier lol
I love that your projects use just a few products. Simple but oh so beautiful.
So glad you like them!!! 💜
Now I'll have to add crakle paint to my supplies. Beautiful work.
Great idea for using napkins. I have quite a lot of napkins so I can't wait to get started. Thanks for sharing Amber.
I love the texture; looks like snake skin. The black border really framed it beautifully. I'm excited to try it on my next project. Great job. Thanks for the inspiration.
Very cool journal cover! I was cleaning in my craft room today and found 2 bags of napkins purchased several years ago just for art. Looked up some videos and now i remember that I liked this. Your work is always inspiring! Thanks for sharing.
I love crackle which is what attracted me to watch. I got so much more than crackle!! thank you.
I LIKED THE EFFECT FROM THE CLEAR CRACKLE PAINT, THIS CAME OUT NICE, I LOVE THE COLORS....TFS
A friend just suggested I watch one of your videos. I'm hooked. I have been hinge watching them. Wish there was a love button instead of just like. I absolutely love this. Can't wait to try it!!!
Thank you so much, Connie! 💜
I never even thought of adding stain to the cracks in the rock candy!!! So cool!
Came out pretty awesome. that black soot crayon really gave it depth. Cool!
Oh! Also I like the idea of working outside of the journal and gluing the page inside when done. Never did that--another new thing to try!
Renee I can't wait to try crackle paint. I have some and never knew how to use it

Love this! Who ever put a thumbs down is nuts!
I could not believe how beautiful this turned out, at a few points I thought I didn't like it! I said to myself I would never combine the pattern or colors. But I loved the colored glitter, something I have avoided (thought it could get tacky) . Thank you for opening my eyes to all of this!!!!
I was kind of worried about it until the end too! lol Thanks for watching! 💜
Thank you for this video. I wanted to try art journaling, but I am not really an artist. I have watched several videos about it and read some blogs. Your video was most helpful because you didn't simply slap some paint or goop here and there and say, "now isn't that nice?" But you said what you looked to achieve by using that item. I tend to buy art things thst I don't know how to use. I am thankful that you have explained some things. I look forward to future videos
Beautiful! I love 💗 it! And the music is so nice, it’s not blaring and howling! Thank you!
excited to try the crackle paint with the colour over top
I never would have imagined saying this but I have got to get met some 'black soot'; I didn't think this was going to work until you flipped the page. love it.
That Black Soot really tied it all together I think!!! Thanks for watching, Angela!
Loved the page. I am now heading off to my craft room to dig out my eggshell crackle that I have never used and I know just the napkin to try it with. Thanks for the inspiration!
Have fun, Jackie!
Thank you so much Amber, I really really enjoyed watching you create this amazing and stunning piece. It looks like the map of Africa? I really really love ❤️ it and everything about it is absolutely gorgeous and an inspiration too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤😊
love all of it, the napkin, stains, crackle...awesome.
I have used crackle paint and vintage photo ink before in my art journal, but I will have to try adding a layer of matte over the top to seal the cracks. I learned a lot from this video. Thanks for sharing, Amber! ❤️
Thank you for watching, Jocelyn!
I have watched a ton of Journal videos and Journal background videos, and I must say that this one is honestly hands down my favorite! This is absolutely stunning!
Wow! Thank you so much, Carrie!! ❣
Looks almost 3 dimensional! Love it.
Great ideas. I didn't know how the effect of the crackle paste would turn out. So happy you showed the detail. And yes, it did resemble snake skin. This will be one of the many details/textures i an willing to try in my art journal. Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
❤ I always shy away from my spiral journals... I either don't touch them or take them apart with the intention of putting them back together .. HA right! Like the idea of separate paper glued in!!
I just recently started doing that, and I love it! Easier to work on and it looks so nice after you glue it in!
love the way this came together. love the snake skin look to it. I think both the lace and without the lace looked good. I have a tendency to add too much, so may have gone with the lace. Great page.
Thank you, Heidi, so glad you enjoyed it! 💚
beautifully done, and thank you for taking the time to show the products names you used and explaining what you were doing... very well done.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! 💜
Nice color choices..love the crackle paste. Like working on separate paper and putting in journal later, too. Thanks for sharing.
Amber this was an Amazing journey!. This page is ridiculously awesome. I love all the textures and colors! I have already ordered my journal and paints to plunge into this set. Thx for the inspiration.
I love this page. So much fun to watch it evolve. Beautiful.
Thank you so much, Chris!!
I love the process and result of your project. I am excited to try keeping my projects more simple. Yours was pretty simple and looks so good.
Stunning page. Love the Tim Holtz crackle paint and the colours you used. Thank you.
Thanks so much, Val!
Love the colors and vintage look! I'm excited to try the clear crackle paint!
I love finding new videos! Sometimes all my supplies go into a blur and I forget the great results they can create given the right application. I love my Pitt markers but I had forgotten how well they do edge highlights. And I hardly know what to do with my few Distress crayons but here you remind me that they can do a bold grungy edge in a flash. Thanks so much!
I love napkin effect. Marietta
Love this page! I'm glad to know that you didn't know where you were going with it! That's the fun part. I like to scrunch up the napkins into a little ball and actually put them down all bumpy and with interesting texture. Thanks for your inspiring videos.
That's a great tip, Pam, thank you for sharing!!! Thank you for watching and commenting. 💙
I enjoyed watching, thank you. I love using paper napkins in my art.
That crackle turned out awesome!! I would love to try it!!
Love the crackle effect!!
Oh yes! I love the way this looks and have enough of the supplies to give it a whirl. Your really surprised me with the stamping at the end. After seeing you do it, I used my black soot crayon as a border and *LOL* made a hot mess :) AND I've started doing my journal pages outside my journal after being super inspired by your and it is a brilliant idea! THANK YOU!
It is a brilliant idea, but it wasn't my idea. lol I've seen other art journalers do it. It makes it so much easier, I think!
never thought to crackle a napkin page love that idea...thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Valerie!
I super super SUPER love this!!!!! I need some of that napkin decoupage!
Love the way this turned out. I have used napkins, but I've never used the crackle paint. I really like the way that looked and I may have to get some and give it a try. You're right, it did look a bit like snake skin.
Thanks, Karen! 💜
Lovely page....I have not used crackle in 30 years...lol.....think I will try it again😊. Thank you for sharing!
Neat!!!
Unfortunately I am watching a lot more videos than actual doing art. I'm getting a lot of good ideas though. That's got to count for something. Right.......
I absolutely love this page. I'll for sure be trying the napkin with the crackle over it in my journal and possibly on cards. Tfs
i love the way that you highlighted the crackle and the background colors came through
Thanks so much for watching, Carlotta! ♥
Great video ! Now I have something to do with paper napkins. Just need to buy the crackle now ! Thank you !!
Just fabulous!!!
I've never used a crackle technique / paint, I'm going to try that. Thanks, it's a beautiful page.
Lovely vintage feel x ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This turned out so perfect! Definitely going to try the napkin and clear crackle paste!! Thank you
Gorgeous!! I love how it turned out!!
Gee I wish we had access to all these products more easily in Australia. Love the page and the crackle medium.
Maybe look into Blitsy. I know they do free worldwide shipping if you spend a certain amount. 😃 shrsl.com/jeuv Thank you for watching! 💜
This is one of the nicest crackle jobs I have seen. I like that you didn't stain the whole thing. I am now inspired to use crackle because I know I can fill in cracks I choose not too stain. Thank you for the sharing your project. 🙂
Great video! Love the touch of glitter. Thank you!
I am definately kicking myself for deleting the Candy Rock off my last order... I will get some next time though, as I loved the effect of the stain in the cracks. Wonderful job as always! Thanks for continuing to share with us.
Wow!!!! love this. I've never used the crackle paint before. Must try it soon. TFS
Never bought the crackle paint because I don't like the shine. But putting matte medium on it solves that. Love it!
Lots of techniques!! Lovely!
Thank you for sharing a very beautiful, neat and soft on the eye page! Absolutely gorgeous! Take care😉💕
Unbelievably amazing! I love this journal cover, never thought of using these techniques. So excited to learn new things to try on my journals! Love love love this!
Thank you so much, Sheri!! 💖
This is beautiful. I need to try some of the crackle and really need some distress inks for sure...Ty's!
beautiful work definitely want to try this effect.
Really beautiful! I love the vintage vibe.
Thank you so much, Amy!
That was a great video and very inspiring. I have learned a lot from it. I do appreciate that you have taken the time to help us get started in this art journal journey and look forward to seeing more of your ideas. Thank you.
I am so impressed by this lovely, lovely work of art... I am so blessed to have such creative people as you sharing your talents, tips, and ideas with me and the world. You have made my quiet moments a little brighter and inspired. Thank you! Blessings to you! :)
I definitely plan to try the crackle effect with a napkin for a journal page. I like how you pushed the colors of the napkin to the background also. I am learning so much for all your videos. TFS
That is a beautiful cover. If I saw that I would be very excited to look at the rest of the book. I’m ready to try the crackle. Hugs!
OMG - that was delightful!! Thank you.
I love the idea of playing some more with napkins and I've never used my crackle medium before. I want to try this too. I love the effect you made.
Thank you so much!
Another beautiful page!!! I love your artwork. Thanks sooo much for sharing 🥰
Wonderful! - so many ideas! Thank you!
I absolutely love your work. You are so talented.
Hi there, Yes, I'm excited about everything in this video. I ordered some crackle paste from your link. I had some crackle craft stuff that never seemed to work, but from the look of the stuff you used (thick), it will work properly and well. Yay, I can't wait. I'm in the midst of a big move, but I would like to join your facebook group when I'm settled. It sounds like such a lovely supportive group to be a part of. When I saw your page in the beginning of the video, I thought it was a journal cover. It certainly could be! So I think when I get my crackle medium I will do just that, cover one of the 3 journals I'm painting in now that don't have a cover yet. I love your page if you didn't get that already, lol. I also love how you do some of your pages on a separate piece of paper and then attach it to a journal page when done. On another link of yours I ordered a black notebook, and some 5X7 strathmore watercolor paper (25 pages) so I can do that. I've been thinking of doing that, yet didn't get to it till I saw your videos recently. I love how you stain the crackle areas then seal them. Pretty much every step was exciting to watch and the result: dyno-mite!! Jane
Jane, thank you SO much for using my links! I spend a ton of time compiling my link lists! 🙃 I look forward to you joining the group and sharing your work! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love love love! It is so nice to see the products in action! Must get some stain.
Thanks so much, April!!!
Love this page
Absolutely lovely!
Such a pretty page!
So many great ideas! I love the crackle paste and that you glued it into your journal book. Super cool! Thanks!
Thanks so much, Cat!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!!!!!! I am putting this video in my Favorites.
Thank you, Barbara! ♥
I love how this came out 😊❤️

Thank you, Geena!
Love your aesthetic.
Great page. I luv the crackle. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 💙💜💚
Beautiful page love it can go right inside of a journal
Love the crackle! TFS!
I think this turned out really well. I thoroughly enjoy watching you create the journal pages. TFS🌺🌼😊🌺
Looks great!
I haven't tried napkins, excited to do so 😊
I love the distress crackle with the distress stain over it . . . definitely looked snake skin like, but ultimately it was just an all around gorgeous page!
I just started working with collage napkin papers and this helped me see that I'm missing a few tools. Still getting the hang of it, but I like the medium!
