fantastic example of how focused the england manager is, no ego involved and how he, on each occasion, refuses to engage in speculation, idle gossip (sometimes i don't know how reporters can believe they have any integrity) and continues onwards. how you know a manager has his players wellbeing at heart is when, just as a new conference is starting, they offer their player a bottle of water they have just opened before taking it for themselves. i find this man singularly impressive and have no doubt that he positions england as a significant threat at the next world cup. lets just hope the board doesn't mess it up ... again.

You’re a true fan! Great fans, don’t worry we know who you are. The media look to sell papers with headlines.

Always has a air of mistrust about these media conferences . Journalists and other media people seem to think they represent the public and fans . I always have respect for my team and players if I feel they give a lot. Why dont powers that be drag proper fans in to the conference and ask questions. Online as well proper fans can ask questions as well . No need to buy papers and read a bias opinion by a journalist who’s probably never played the game .

    formidable, smart, tough performance this
one did NOT see this one coming by a mile…that’s a fact
These Boyz can be very proud
    Steve and Jamie especially
Absolutely astonishing display of intent and doing a solid job of overcoming and finding a way to pressurize the way they did…
The Rugby world HAS to take notice of this one as Ireland must be amongst the very best ever, with Andy et cie being as smart and commmitted as they are…and adept
    Absolutely formidable England
    Let that be said clearly…
    Well done‼️
    👊🔥

Well done England they wanted it more then Ireland did the media talking up the Irish didn't help but that being said all is not lost. All not lost for Ireland Conor Murray shouldn't have kicked the ball but take nothing away from England's win still have scotland and a potential 6 nations championship title

The reality is that sports journalists these days seem as ill informed as every other aspect of journalism. It's very sad. No evidence base, no factual support for statements. Very shallow.
