    I'm trying to collect as much Gleaner 100 year swag as I can. My grandparents were diehard Allis and Gleaner people and were featured in the Allis paper in the late 60's.

      That is super cool! Grab as much as you can, it will be desirable later on! Let me know if you see something and you cannot get access to it, sometimes we have better chances bringing stuff in that collectors are looking for!

    Austin,
    I absolutely love Gleaners, thanks for the tour. It put a smile on my face. A couple of points:
    AGCO is actually the Allis Gleaner Company. It’s still in the corporate name!
    The Gleaner values you mention include mechanically simple operation that is designed to be easily repaired by the farmer-owner. Quite important today.
    And, 1923 to 2023 is actually 101 years !

    Austin - what up? Great vid, pretty cool learning all the history behind the Gleaner brand and equipment. Was a little afraid you were going give us a pop quiz at the end. It is crazy to think there is a 100 year history behind that combine and ag mechanization in general. Next time though, you should hold out for some branded swag if you are gonna be saying all those nice things. They could have had you decked out in a galvanized steel print bunny hug with a big orange comet trail from front to back - just sayin. Looking forward to your vid on the Fendt Rogator. To get the full effect, probably need to wait to record that when you can spread those wings and fly that big boy out on the runway and not in the showroom. Hope you're doing well - take care amigo😎

    I like to see wide rubber on a Gleaner, wide back wheels and big wide drive wheels.
    Most modern combines have gone to wide back wheels.
    Any changes in the machinery?

      Check the weight of the combines being compared. Gleaners are about 10,000 pounds lighter than most others which explains the smaller tires. That said, I would love to see one sporting the Titan - Goodyear LSW wide tires !!!

    Austin, what is your absolutely personal favorite tractor manufacturer? Yes, I did learn something new in this video. I didn't know that Gleaner was originally started in Texas and I didn't know they been around for a hundred years.

    • @timmyholker
      @timmyholker Год назад

      Gleaner didn't start in Texas.

    • @FullLineAustin
      @FullLineAustin  Год назад

      That is a very loaded question asking about my absolute personal favourite because of a couple reason! Maybe I’ll have to make a video on it! 😏
      Gleaners actually didn’t begin in Texas! I was referring to back in the day, custom combine operations/businesses used to start combining wheat in Texas, then slowly moved/worked their way north. They would combine essentially from Texas up to Western Canada!
      Gleaners more or less began in Kansas with the Baldwin brothers!

    Yet the idiots in corporate AGCO do their best to defund and try and kill the brand but haven't. Also letting dealers go by the wayside and kill them too by not producing enough machines for them to sell.

    • @FullLineAustin
      @FullLineAustin  Год назад

      Supply chains for everything are strained right now sadly, I agree though I wish we could get more machines! Gleaners are awesome and they are getting more and more popular each year!
      Thanks for watching, I see you have a Gleaner! How long have you been running them for?

    • @markam306
      @markam306 Год назад

      AGCO would sell even more if they could design a class 9 combine with the natural crop flow system. A single short rotor makes that challenging. AGCO is trying to supply the large combine market with the black Fendt Ideal units made in Italy. They have had a rocky start in North America.
