Honestly, the only one star ratings that really annoy me are the ones that make fun of Sophie for sleeping with a stuffed animal- because stuffed animals are amazing.
Ya, I sleep with stuffed toys as well and I used to carry a stuffed toy cow with me everywhere I went until I lost it at my school.

KotLC will always be one of my favorite series and I don’t think anyone could ever persuade me otherwise 😆 so it’s definitely fun to read peoples meltdowns about how horrible it is! 😂 hope you get to read the graphic novel soon! Personally I loved the graphic novel! So fun to explore in a different format- I laughed at things I've read six times now. The art was a bit hit-or-miss but I found it captured the feel of the series well.

Honestly I think the reviews aren’t recognizing the actual flaws of KotLC, they’re just being dramatic… Content idea: It’s fun to hit the shorter reviews for the video, but some of the longer, like paragraphs long reviews actually have logical thought, which you could try making a video about too!

I went to the Kotlc event and had a blast. I convinced my parents to get me the graphic novel for Christmas even though I knew what it was going to be. I'm just counting down the day until I read it. :) It looks amazing and so detailed, I can't wait to read it!!!

The graphic novel looked nothing like I expected, but the path finder really disappointed me 😢
About the dinosaur theory, the world is actually a lot younger than you think. If we look at the Bible, the earth is only about 6000 years old, so the elves would have existed from the beginning of time, when God created the world. So, in this light, Shannon would be correct.
Yes! I’m a Christian so I thought the same thing. Also, if the earth was still millions of years old, the dinosaurs could have hidden, like alicorns.
Yeah I believe the world is young too and I've always appreciated that Shannon implied that in her books.

I recently got the Graphic Novel and I absolutely loved it! The only thing though was that A) Dex's hair was full-on orange and not strawberry blonde B) Jensi's hair was straight???!?! and C) Fitz's eyes looked blue!!! Oh, and go and look at frame 3 of page 62 of the graphic novel... 🤣🤣🤣
I’m so glad you enjoyed the graphic novel, that makes me so happy! there are definitely some small nit picks I would have changed if I were the artist but overall it was incredible! It’s so awesome to see the series being adapted into different formats. Hopefully we get more news about the movie soon! 👀🤩🫶

Madeline was right about Fitz except for the hot part and HOW DARE SHE DISRESPECT KEEFE
I started the graphic novel but stopped because of the different art style that was different from how I imagined it. I decided to not read it because it would change my view of how the characters look because of their appearance on the covers and how they're described. I my reasoning might be a little close-minded and not open-minded, but I'm scared of the fun of imagining the situations and people being taken away because of reading the graphic novel(s).
for the dinosaur point, maybe the oldest elves currently alive ARE only a couple thousand years old, but remember, there were elves alive before that. and while deaths don't occur, it's still very possible people older than the Ancients were alive and died, especially considering they live a long time. Honestly, I think I understand both sides. And while I don't necessarily agree with that review, I find it interesting that everyone is trained to be vegetarian, though it makes sense.
I honestly was disappointed with the graphic novel, I feel like I don't really like the drawing style (which is my personal taste), but also, they missed out on key features like Sophie's room being HUGE AND covered with FLOWERS. It's one of the things i was most excited to see come to life. also, Jensi's hair wasn't drawn properly, either.
I don’t know why people have so many complaints about KOTLC. The book is amazing and super fun. Honestly, I think some people are just jealous they can’t write a fun book. Also, I have not read the KOTLC graphic novel yet, so I will definitely get it right now!

these reviews sound like my friend’s opinion- she started reading it and didn’t even make it to when Sophie moved to the lost cities and she still says “it’s awful” “the characters suck” and the most offensive one “Keefe is ugly” 😒

I appreciate your pet-peeve talk, but you literally said yourself that it's a FANTASY WORLD. And she's human. Just like the rest of us (even if I'd rather be an AvEnGeR or ElF). She makes mistakes. It might not be entirely accurate, but SHANNON'S NOT PERFECT!
Even the Avengers made mistakes. And don't even get me started on the elves... 😂

The graphic novel was great! The only thing that I would say is that it was a bit fast paced, so people that have not read book 1 might be a bit confused. However, I thing it was great and it really captured the essence of each character.
With dinosaurs, training only SOME of the dinosaurs to be vegetarian may not destroy the ecosystem. You don't know how many dinosaurs there are left, and the ecosystem would be completely destroyed even now because dinosaur don't even exist right now ( or they shouldn't...). Also, as said, IT IS A FANTASY BOOK. It doesn't have to be completely realistic!
I found lots of thigs that were inaccurate in the graphic novel. But Keefe, teirgan, and bald stina make up for its mistakes. I still love the book tho!❤
I liked the graphic novel but I didn’t get why Sophie compared herself to a Smurf during midterms because to me it looked like she was wearing a night cap.

Not going to lie. I gave this series a 1 star rating. Overall, its a fun book, and I can get over some things. Like the dinosaurs and making everything vegatarian...cool. I like most of the characters, and think most of the villians are interesting. Even the fact Shannon uses "promise" as much as most people use "said"...I can overlook. But (spoilers incoming) the reason I have it a 1 star rating...is because of Keefe. (I know the fanbase is going to come for me...but it just shows your true colors if you do...😆). Hes the most toxic person ever written...and gets away with it cause "he's hot with cool hair." He forces Sophie to give up secrets, he steals from her putting all Elves in danger (the cache), he doesn't listen to anyone, he bullies Sophie and Fitz into being ashamed of their feelings. (The first time they admit it...they are away from him!). And when they finally hook up, Keefe makes her embarrassed to hold her boyfriend's hand...Keefe is unbearable. And after he becomes the focus with his mom being a villian...it goes downhill quick. He only says sorry once, but then does what he wants at the end of the book proving he's not. This series could be pretty good...except for Keefe. And Keefe fans will always make excuses. But reading the books...no. hes toxic, and harmful to everyone around him. And being a main character through the series...makes this series a 1 star. And if someone said 0 stars...I'd agree with them. 😆 🤣 😂 😹

I mean now I will never see the dinosaurs on the same way I did before but it 100% didn’t deserve to get rated 1 star because Shannon wanted to be more creative with the creatures. I think also that if she didn’t include dinosaurs, people would also question about the strangeness that some random creatures exist but dinosaurs don’t.

Hi! Im a little late, so not sure if youre gonna see this comment, but regarding your dinosaur problem, the Ancients like Fintan and the others werent the first elves to exist. There would obviously be elves before them that have since passed away. So they might have been the ones to save the dinosaurs from extinction, but have died.

I disagree with the Dino age. And Shannon (being a Christian as well) would know that our belief is the world is less than or a little more than 7000 years old. So For it to be a pet peeve as a different view in worldview or scientific belief makes sense.

I have been going crazy for the past like 20 mins, I was looking up how to actually pronounce all the characters names and I thought Keefe was pronounced Keef(e) like Keefe but if you add a ie to the end 😭😭 am I the only one who pronounced it wrong 😭😭😭😭
I hate to be that person but this book is also for 8 year olds so that’s maybe one of the reasons why people have a problem with the humour in the series.
