Nathan I was being a bit of a privileged smart Alec. As a former Dunblane QVS schoolboy, I attended when Angus MacDonald was a Piper in the band, and again when he was Pipe major ScotsGuards, and also with pipe major Jimmie Banks, he of recent fame with A salute to Willie the Royal Fendersmith played at the Queens funeral. So forgive my pride. I followed their remarkable careers from junior soldiers to the respect they had in the piping world. By the way, I love many of the fine music coming online from the RSDG
Congratulations to their various Adult Instructors. To achieve such a high standard with bands from all around the country (I believe I see Campbell College from Belfast, Northern Ireland there) is a testimony to the dedication of the Cadets and their Chain of Command. Scot’s guards pipe band isn’t the best, they’d all be better of in the SCOTS or RSDG
