This was only 1 or 2 specific videos on this subject I could find on RUclips and I'm watching this 2 years after you put it out! Honestly, so valuable. Thanks so much
so glad it was helpful, Priscilla! lmk any other questions you have. I also have a free series (no pitch!) that dives deeper into this if you're interested. It's linked on my channel homepage
New subscriber here (I'm binging your videos, haha)! You made me realize that what comes so naturally to me (project management, planning & organizing) is some kind of a super power 🤯🤯And that there's an actual position I could do as a freelancer that's aligned with who I am. I've spent years trying to figure out what to do and you literally solved it for me 😭😭
Very helpful video! I like that you gave examples of actual tasks you do, which gives somewhat an idea of which markets we can work with also. Very helpful for someone like me who's looking to shift to be a DBM/OBM.
This is so crazy. This makes everything so clear like actually what a business is. What management is. And what manager does. And also how new businesses are made ....
I loved this video, I work as a software developer so tech and systems are my jam and I started to get PM training at my job last year. I wanted to start my own business and I just realised that DBM is the name of what I can do as well 🙃
Yey, I found you months ago in IG and now following you here in YT 😍😍😍 Thank you so much for inspiring and educational posts in IG. I can't wait to binge on your videos here
Heyy! Do you have a video about going from doing operational tasks (SMM, Landing pages, emailing…) to becoming a DBM ? I’d love to start managing projects!
Can you start with no social media presence? I was a life coach for years, but I stopped last year. I want to start online business management, but my IG account is dead 😢 I still have followers but it’s been years since I’ve posted.
how do you manage not having to little or too many clients? and when do you start looking for new ones to secure the "job"? I am not sure I am explaining well but basically, the question is, is it not too much to constantly know that a project, job with a client will come to an end and not know what happens once is over, whether you´ll find another one or not?
good q, 2 things: 1) as a business manager, most of my clients need me on an ongoing basis so I put them on monthly retainers; I had clients I worked with for years at a time. It was not really short-term work so I'd be thinking about how to ensure the value you're offering is an ongoing service then you retain clients on a longer term basis 2) basically I'm applying + pitching + outreach all the time (not intensely but just enough to keep me in the practice of doing it) so I always have clients in the pipeline and I'm swapping out clients that I've outgrown for new clients.
Hey Brandee! Such a good question. In my eyes, yes - and I've also been interchangeably called Integrator, Chief Operations Officer and 'Right Hand' by many clients. Generally it's that person that is on that higher management/strategy and big-picture level!
@@MyNameIsDeya Great, thanks! So many names for things in the online space. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the differences between a podcast manager and a podcast producer! (Hint: They're basically intrchangeable.)
Hey Leslie - I'm glad you found it interesting! I taught myself via working with 40+ clients, doing a ton of research and external studying/learning (books, courses, workshops, etc)! :)
@@MyNameIsDeya Great Thank you. I am looking forward to learn as well. Maybe should I learn from you haha. I leave in Germany as well. So that is also good for me.
Hi Sofia! Thank you so much. We're not currently looking for one! :) But I always share internship opportunities over on Instagram so make sure to check there if you'd like to intern!
Huh? You don't have to pay money or recruit to work as a freelancer - you offer services (like managing projects & teams or creating systems) to clients and they pay you for your time/services.

So a DBM is basically a Project Manager + HR + Ops/Systems. Gotcha!

I didn't have a business Instagram for my first few years of freelancing!

Are the titles/terms Digital Business Manager and Online Business Manager interchangeable? Thanks! Loving your videos so far :)

Very interesting. Also disappointing :) I'm not a to-do list person unless I must. Good to see someone loves that work! :)
Very interesting video Thank you.
Did you study it? Or learn it on your On my own?!

Looks very similar to the role of a COO... No?
Yep! Some of my clients called me a 'Fractional COO'. I've also been called Integrator, Online Business Manager, etc..
Hi, thank you for this video. Very encouraging. I am curious how you started in this career :)
You're so welcome! This video breaks down my journey and how I got started: ruclips.net/video/WCTa6OgMB2A/видео.html :)
Isn't this called an online business manager?
hi Deya 😊 love ur videos! so informative. im wondering if u r planning to have an intern in ur team? id be honoured to send u my portfolio 😊
