    For the question 28, there’s formula to calculate the area of an equilateral triangle which would make it easier:
    Let’s use s for side and A for area
    A = (√3s^2)/4
    So s = 4
    A = (√3 × 4^2)/4
    A = (16√3)/4
    A = 4√3
    Since we have two triangles shaded we must multiply by 2:
    4√3 × 2 = 8√3
    So the answer is 8√3

    For the question 19
    When you are converting kilometers per hour to meters per second you can just divide the value per 3.6
    90km/h ÷ 3.6 = 25m/s
    And when converting meters per second to kilometers per hour, multiply the value by 3.6
    25m/s × 3.6 = 90km/h

    Can u explain no. 34? I mean why didn't you add 1 to .2 which is equivalent to 1.2 and the equation would be like 1.15(1.2(3500)) but you did 1.15(.2(3500)). Can you kindly tell me how did u figure the equation??

      Because it mentions his normal pay is 20% (0.2) of the retail value of merchandise he sells. Additionally it mentions that on top of his normal pay (100%) he can earn a 15% bonus which is equivalent to 1.15.

    do we have to fully understand standard deviation for psat or sat??

    • @ScalarLearning
      @ScalarLearning  3 года назад +1

      You just have to know that standard deviation measures the spread of data; more spread out, greater standard deviation.

      You could square them and get the same results, just that it would take much more time

      well he did go the long way, but basically, for group A you could have done 5 x 9 since that 5 would have been taken by adding all the game number and dividing it by 9. this is similar to 7 x 11. so for this, 5 x 9 = 45 and 7 x 11 = 77 add those, you get 122 then divide that by 20 and you will get 6.1.
      that's what I did since it was faster!
