@Phyress1337 as a herald i would like to say that the difference between herald 1-3 and 4-5 is massive. Herald 4 and 5, like myself, actually play the game pretty well if I do say so myself. We tend to be the people who have 1k-1.5k hours and who just play occasionally for the fun and mess about, plus I mostly play modded or turbo dota which is its own whole shtick. Most herald 4 and 5 actually are try harding to get better, when I played ranked and hit herald 5 everyone was pulling, stacking, moving couriers out fountains, hell we even dragged waves. It's the herald 1s to 3s that simply play drunk or for shots and giggles that we normally see, occasionally you get some better games and tbh I'm all for it, it's still noobish and questionable decision making, but they know how to play the game. I came across a dude with 11k hours in herald once, thought he was a smurf, turns out he's just been playing for ages and just wanted to mess around instead of taking it so seriously. Herald is like 20% people who have played like sub 10 moba games overall and 60% people who are pretty good at the game but are just messing around. The 30% is for people who are about to leave herald cause they grinding ranked.

heralds are so extreme at everything that they do. but by far my favorite that i watched from jenkins was the drow player that din't take his skills and just maxed out the stats for her ult. and the riki who every time the wisdom rune spawns he's immediately there to pick it up. and that would happened without fail. even in the middle of the clash. that video dint stayed for long tho. i wonder why but man. that was my fucking hilarious!
max stats drow was a thing in DotA briefly. Or you get drow+venge dual lane each stack wraith bands + helm of dominator and suddenly giving each other 100+ bonus damage as well.
@@Dezdichado1000 then dominate wolf for more damage aura like wtf. That lane is impossible to win against. 2-4 shots from each hero, then you can't fight.
This is one of the highest skill level herald games. Yes, it lasted 84 minutes but still, there wasn't weird shit except graving the golem.
yeah, and it was clearly balanced, just check the guys kda ratios or the team kill stats. i think they all enjoyed that game (as we did) :)

I believe if there's a TI for herald we all would watch it till the end, their energy and the way they synchronize is just on another level.

I would suggest for your next herald review make a bingo cart with stuff like: neutral item token on the ground, no boots build etc. :D

You can grave hero units like golems and LD's bear. (to be honest though I forgot this until just now.)
I was a 3k player back in 2017, had to quit the game because of studies. And after 7 years I came back to the game and directly calibrated my mmr and got herald 5😃 I completely lost touch of the game but I will eventually get better, I hope😀

I wouldn't worry too much friend, the standard of play for your average player has got a lot better in the last 7 years, so you're gonna be a bit behind

Herald is not as bad as it used to be. as someone teaching a friend whos brand new to the game I have noticed they dont get detection and they dont ward so you will have to do this yourself or lose. But... they do know stuff like attack cancelling, illusion micro even. they are a lot better than NA Heralds (im EU) judging by jenkins vids anyways lol. They also know lanes and roles (mostly) but you will get 1/5 games where you have the wrong hero in the wrong role or lack of communication and 4 people picked a support lol

How come heralds don't pick up neutral tokens or get boots? And they buy wards? I thought they'd single mindedly work towards anything that makes them better 1v5-rs or get t2 boots way too early instead of buying vision

Honestly I would watch a TI for Heralds, pro dota has been so boring for me, but these videos are so entertaining I am starting to think Heralds are just so much more fun than any pro game in the last 2-3 years (not like I've watched them all, but for the most part I don't get excited for pro dota anymore).
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the nerds that the best Dota is produced by the highest MMR.

You would be suprised what skills are oddly well practiced in herald. They have no clue how 98% of the game works, but dammit they saw a dota meme 2 years ago and now have one skill. TBH I saw more people using things like armlet toggle and tread swapping in 100mmr 2 years ago than I have in the entire time I'v been at 3k. That said I have also never saw anyone swap or drop gear to regen until ~2k. And wards were myths until they became free.
This one was WILD, wow. One of the best herald games so far! I did not expect the ending.

This was pretty sad. Not the herald play but the pro commentary. Picking people with low knowledge and skill on purpose and then calling them duckling idiots for low skill and knowledge is exactly what is killing this game. Where is the fun and entertaining part in this? You just gave great example on how toxic people in these games are.
Also it was pretty obvious that hoodwink gonna build maelstorm and dragon lance and not basher. She started to build lance that is chap and easy to build with good stats early, then she got load of gold so switched and bought the most expensive part of maelstorm to finish it quick and benefit of chain lightning. Dazzle grave on gollem once in 80 mins was probably just making fun or missclick not a tragedy.🤦♂
Imagine you are 3k mmr. You quit for a few years and come back, you recalibrate. It puts you in herald.
It's mind numbing trying to herd the donkeys in these games until you realize everyone knows, they just dont care. A lot of herald players are actually really good, and have lots of game knowledge, they just dont care about winning as much as they care about having fun. If a games not fun, they don't try. If a losing strategy is fun, they'll gladly run it.
Id like to see guardian game reviews, because those players are trying hard but still suck. Arguably more bad players in guardian than in herald. Once you get to crusador you start regularly encountering people who really know how to play their heroes but they've got no respect for comeback mechanics or objective priority. They can take roshan uncontested but instead will push highground at 25 mins carrying a bunch of networth riding the high of a 5-7 killstreak.
Archon and higher I think you start seeing better gameplay and its more common that everyone fully understands their role.
I strongly believe there are many herald players who would do just fine in archon games, if not for nothing other than the number of smurfs down there.
I thought Spirit Breaker skipped boots because he figured out the game would go over 60 minutes anyway so he might as well save 500 gold and get Force Boots from t5 token.

Heralds are just normal people who pretend to be weirdos. They are probably all 3k+ mmr players with normal life. They use their "herald" accounts to satisfy their weird side of their personalities. I mean, drop 5 golems and watch... Do you see the satisfaction they get from this?

The only time Warlock used Upheaval the whole game was once at the end when it was pointless. They could have easily won the game had he remembered that spell.
