There used to be a time where you'd see everyone pray mage while chilling everywhere in both wildy and pvp worlds. This sword is gonna bring those times back lmao.
With so many different combos it will throw many people off, no doubt pkers will use ags and korasi etc
Nah. Difference is korasi was a free item. This sword is gonna stay 100m+
@@dylanjones6481 Which is actually far worse and less healthy for the game in its current state. Remember back then you couldnt just get it for any level possible. You had to do a lot of quests and then complete a grandmaster quest. Yes it being worth 500k and be reclaimable so easily was stupid. But now we can just buy a better version of the Korasi Sword... mind you it can spec TWICE! That is wayyy too busted yet we the community voted it in the way it is rn.

love nostalgia for the most part, maybe not the exact same as Pre-EoC but similar would be nice, it just overall looked better with the variations of korasi to gmaul.
Korasi is supposed to be locked behind a long quest chain that requires defense & also it originally was made to take 60% spec and only be 50% spec when wearing the ring from Dungeoneering!
You should give this a try using the Ancient Godsword special attack.
I think it should have 50% spec to pair it with other weapons for increased risk, but they need to nerf b2b voidwaker specs so that a 2nd one in a row is less accurate or something
Would love to see you do a rush or anti rush/pk video with claws into the voidwaker man.

Now Brine sabre, Osmumstens fang and Voidwaker have the identical looking special attack. Wish they switch to the pre eoc one, That was probably my favourite spec in the game
They like to copy things from RS2 but then pretend it's different by copy>pasting other sounds/sprites/animations over the code for the identical item

I hope they don't nerf it to shit, it absolutely needs two specs because you should be able to get a spec off on someone and keep them guessing as to whether you're going to ags or not. Without that, good nhers are unkillable if they decide to take no risks.
Damage should scale based on magic attack bonus rather than strength bonus. Having the ability to wear max strength gear and max melee hit and also max mage hit with absolutely no trade off (e.g. no need to wear robes etc...) is broken.
@@popnfreshz Being able to flick on a prayer in 1 tick when your gear gives away the combat style of your spec weapon and most decent players struggle with 2-3 way 1 tick specs is broken.
None of the best players really die in OSRS NH anymore, it's only people who are playing the outlast game and getting unlucky.

This thing took over the pking scene when the void stares back was released. I'm glad it's really hard to get your hands on and is probably going to be ridiculously expensive (compared to a 200k quest reward buy back if lost lol), but maybe it should be nerfed slightly... I guess in a week or so we will see.
The special attack was polled before the release. They asked if people wanted 50% spec, or 60% spec. Guess what? Everyone voted for 50%.
So in hindsight, you can say that people genuinely asked for this.

This completely overshadows Volatile Nightmare Staff.
You don't need magic gear anymore to get a high magic max hit. It is a GUARANTEED damage special attack, so There's no way you can noodle it. It also hits at minimum, with max gear, a 39.
@@kylbarry4466 that's 39 unavoidable damage. The possibilities are also endless with it being 50% special attack, opposed to Volatile Staff's 65%

I’m coming back to osrs from the golden days. I notice tons of new items but it still seems like melee is easily favored and has more options than range . Is that true? And has there been any attention to expanding on magic?

It’s fine with two specs, force pkers to adapt, now you gotta think pray mage vs pray melee when you think it’s spec time. It’s good.
I don't quite get why it having two spec's is that big of a deal, Ags does, Voltile does, Claws do, ancient godsword does, All of these hit insanely high. The reason old korasi was so bad was because it was so insanely cheap and came from a quest. I reckon you can one tick stack max hp with it, but you.. can do that with other weapons rn too.

agree people are overreacting so much u can 120 hp some1 with 1m risk what made korasi so good before was how cheap it was cuz quest item and also people were trash at pking back then so people actually died to simple 2x spec or veng stacking
It’s more to do with the insane accuracy & speed, old runescape I used to abuse this mechanic as well by using Korosi spec 60% + Drink spec Potion too D Claws it would catch people off guard and most of the time smite people aswell
I forgot to say it’s also based off Magic attack so it melts through melee armour

Korasi's best advantage is deep wildy nhing, if your opponent hasnt specc'd you don't know whether to pray mage or melee

I already thought this weapon was a bad idea back then. And it still is. It makes no sense to have a weapon that does magic damage which scales from your melee damage. It's a complete insult to the combat triangle mechanics in the game. Next update: EOC. :D

Two specs is definitely not overpowered. We have ags gmaul which has been in the game forever. Hell even double maul with elder whack. Or harm orb into ags. Stuff literally impossible to eat. Voidwaker has a lower max than all of that so I don't see an issue.
If it gets nerfed to 55% spec it will be a dead item, nobody will use it in pvp worlds or bh. It will still have use in the wild with lightbearer but if you can't combo it with other specs then what is the point?

Not everything has to be combo-capable
@@tappajaav It maxes lower than other spec weapons, claws are nearly as accurate and with higher max. If you don't pray mage or triple eat you will die, same as if you don't pray melee or triple eat vs anything melee based.
