If you never try, you never learn new things! Bravo!
💯 Thank you 😊
I’m watching again 😄,I’m still waiting for some roots so your video gives me hope 😂
Hi Stephanie, I use those moss poles and there's a clear protective plastic on them that you can peel off.
Also, for the big holes in the black plastic pot, I use coffee filters or a piece of paper towel. Soil stays in and the water flows through. Beautiful Thai Constellation by the way. 😊
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching. 😊🪴
I must admit, watching others wrestle with their plants is more fun than wrestling with my own. 😂
😂 I don’t blame you. It’s actually more entertaining to watch now that I’m done with it. 😅
@@luciansteph I bet. You are a delight. 🤗
🤗 thank you. 🪴
hahah when you were about to just pour all the leca into the tiny pot I was shaking my head - and then you stopped and I went **phew** hahaha your thai con is beautiful!
Ikr 😅 glad I came to my senses. Thank you and thanks for watching. 🪴
I love that you show the real struggles of being a plant parent. I believe it would have been easier stuffing the moss pole before closing it and using it.. it looks great, though.
Thank you. Yeah, I think I might try that next time. :-)
Love your videos ! I feel like all these things would totally happen to me 😂. Also I’m the type to pluck the dying leave!
Thank you! 😊 I was tempted to delete the beginning but I thought someone out there might be able to relate to it.
Hehe yes dying leaves are an eye sore
I like your unique choice of plant tool. I’m familiar with it. 😂 So fun to watch! 🤗
😂😂 it’s quite handy
why are you leaving water in the pot? wont that cause root rot? they need to dry out in between waterings.
🙃lol I was waiting for this comment. I thought of deleting that clip but I wanted to share what I really did. 😊
1. My mixture has no soil and my pot is not self watering. Although the medium has water retentive properties, its focus is more on aeration than water retention. Because of this, I left the TINIEST bit of water in the reservoir to keep the mixture from drying out faster than I can get to watering.
2. The roots are WAY above the base of the pot where the water is. So they won’t be sitting in water.
3. I wouldn’t say my Thai con needs to dry out between waterings, it likes consistent hydration with significant aeration. Hence why the roots that grew into the reservoir were happy and not rotting off.
In essence, my set up is based on my care style and very bright light conditions. 😊🪴
I just got a MTC two weeks ago. I stare at it hoping it won't die. Lol. 😊
Aww, I know the feeling. This technique is what helped me get my Thai con this far. STOP ROOT ROT WITH THIS TECHNIQUE| How I protect my Monstera Thai Constellation

This is real life 😅 no filters! Great job!
😅😅 yup!
I take off the yellow leaf when it’s loose on the plant unless it’s really annoying me, in which case I twist it until it comes off haha. Maybe one day I’ll get a Thai con but it takes up so much space as it grows! Definitely a wishlist plant for me
Hehe same! Prices of Thai Cons have come down so much and they’re more available now. Yes they are big. But slower growing through. Thanks for watching! 🤗
Looks fantastic!
Your comments are always so sweet. Thank you. 🤗🪴
Great job Stephanie! I applaud you for: 1. Your true transparency. 2. Leaning into the journey with plants, knowing that not everything will go exactly as planned and adjusting as needed. 3. Making due with what you have based on your conditions, environment, and availability of desired supplies. Kudos to you 👏 🪴👏
Well said! Definitely a learning experience for me. Thank you so much for joining me on that journey. :-)
