Great video Mike. I think the part I find most difficult in maintaining the act of listening, without allowing my mind to wander to my own interpretations of what is being said, and missing key information. Yet, whenever I listen back to a recording, that's often exactly what I've done.
You have put your finger on precisely the issue. We can process information faster than we speak. So, when listening, we have spare capacity. It takes real discipline and practice to let that capacity sit fallow. But, like a field left fallow, the subsequent harvest is all the greater.
