I swear I've tried every high MOI putter style out there because I love the idea. Spiders, 2 balls, even the LAB Mezz. I simply make more putts with a Anser/Newport shape.
That'll be the forward CG. Have you tried the TaylorMade FCG or the Spider Max with the weights forward, you clearly like the release of the forward Center of Gravity
Thanks for the video. I have been fitted with a new black GTX putter by my GolfTec instructor. I am looking forward to improving my putting, including lag putting. It is curious that so many pros are using SC blade putters and not taking advantage of high MOI putters. Scottie is using a SC blade and now Rory has now gone to a SC blade. Herd mentality? More skilled?
Congrats on the current purchase. I don’t know the current % breakdown but it’s a heavy mallet to blade ratio. You’re picking 2 guys who are in the hunt a lot at the moment therefore a lot of TV time. Doesn’t take much to look beyond & see many mallets …. DJ, Day, Rahm, Xander etc etc . Personal feels, a history with a model & good emotions etc , many many factors go into the tour players putter choices
Chris, which alignment suits a RH golfer with left eye dominant ? I like to putt to a ball or 2 tees, makes the cup look like a bucket when I go to play a round. Love the videos
Right hand golfer , left eye dominant …. I personally think this is the best combination for a wide choice of models and toe hangs (a lot more to that, I’ll reveal one day) . I terms of alignment sight lines , I’d have to see your stroke and how you react to dots v lines etc , that’s more a fitting in person than over social
@@donnachalyons3904 again hard for me to test without being in person but with the help of monitors you can establish if you putt / align better with dots, line upfront, lines in the pocket etc etc but I will struggle to do that over a message format.
you didn't mention foot position, only keeping them moving. I've tried feet open, feet neutral, and feet together, and find I have better control with then together but slightly offset. is there a particular stance that is better? I noticed yours is neutral stance
I had an odd experience when I got fitted for a putter the machine told me a mallet Bc of my stroke but when I putt with my blade I stuck to the line, right in line with the hole 15 times in a row. VS all the mallets they had me try I’d keep half of them on line. I am currently using a Scotty with 15 in the heel and 5 in the toe.
Not very & truth is that putter in the video wasn’t my gamer. I grabbed one from the kingdom as I’d gone to film a vid on the driver and ended up adding this in. I usually use in conventional length 33 - 33.5 EOG 70° / 2.5° dependent on CG location. D5 . I will be posting a WITB vid ( I do it every year) I’m just not there yet & want it to be spot on
@@trottiegolf Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I was curious because I figured we'd have similar specs. Also, I watched your vid on the new P series irons and was fitted for and purchased the P770's. Man, those things are awesome!. Can't wait for the season to start. Hit'em well!
Just got fitted for a gtx and love it. Really look forward to your videos.

I have a FCG Spider, it’s awesome 😎

You can tell the future!! 1 year later and Scotty is now playing a mallet!

@trottiegolf Thanks Chris, regards to position of the alignment aid would it be better towards the front or rear of the putter?
@@donnachalyons3904 depends which alignment aid you're using?
@@trottiegolf Chris , I've lines on my putters

I like neutral, I've never played with the angle for putting only the width. I personally feel like I have more feel when narrower v's wider.

Forward CG location would be my immediate answer but obv toe hang a factor too
@@trottiegolf thanks 🙏
What about a spider GT putter its a little litter would it be the same
Spider GT a solid shout yea
