I love your birds nest spruce it has so much character and style for a little tree. And the serrissa forest is an amazing example of uniqueness. Stunning.
Love the birds nest spruce, larch forest and avatar grove. Also like the schefflera and bougainvillea trees. Nice collection overall and great backyard. Keep up the great show Nigel!
Larch forest is my absolute favourite of all of your bonsai. And I'd think the bird's nest spruce and avatar forest would be lovely picks. Also, very very cool concert! I'm glad you closed out with it. :)
The avatar grove is just fantastic, it truly is beautiful I can't wait until I m older can afford to have something like that in my home and maybe some day lean to work with bonsai
After you finish your part of the video I started driving my Hilo at work. While I was driving I had to bang my steering wheel listening to these drummers. Very interesting. I really like how you recorded them with all those angles.
As usual, a great show. As I am a big fan of your work, I like almost everything in your garden. Still couple of favourites are...Serissa forest, Schefflera, Larch forest, and the Portulacaria afra forest.
You said that you wanted a variety of species and stages of development. Some I would pick are the little Jade. for the 3-D Viet Nam style I would pick the more develope microcarpa. you plan on showing the nice Shafflara clump so fig would give more variety. I would also like to see the birds nest spruce. These are some of my favorites of the ones you've made videos on.
I really enjoy the single Bougainvillea, Serissa forest (with ruins), Austrian Pine, Cedar Avatar Grove, Schefflera, Larch forest, and the Portulacaria afra forest. Personally, I think the 25 year old Ficus deserves a little limelight. All GREAT choices! Hope you do a video of the show.
I watched this video like 5x already. Awesome stuff! Loving it! In no particular order: Ficus microcarpa(large) for sure- Amazing root work, even the aerial roots are looking radial. Birds nest spruce- a favorite. Bougainvillea- nice tree and flowers will look great. Any of your Vietnam plated Ficus trees. Any of your forests landscapes( so hard to choose, they are all tremendous.) If i had to pick two would be Pc afra is super interesting, and larch forrest landscape is beautiful. Schefflera clump should be in the show too. And some of your smaller plantings to show how well cuttings can progress and make creative plantings. Thank you for all the great content this year!!
Definitely both forests, baobab portulacarias and larches, bird's nest spruce, and serrisa mini-forest is amazing!!! Yuccas are looking really well, even thogh I would name it more like allien forest :D
The portulacaria afra forest and the jacka forest are my favorites! Actually Im amazed by all your trees, they are incredible! Good luck choosing the bonsai trees for the show, I know It will be hard :D
yupp possibly not the last comment but number 23 (couldn't catch the name) is also an amazing pot. It again just looks like you went out into the forest with a miniature sizing gun and shot it at the trees.
love the drums thank you for the treat. the lark forest, the forest next to the small cheetah jade, traditional japanese styled, elephant forest, and the aloe thatll be unique. love your videos
Also the large forest fucking amazing I am just astonished I wish I could see these in person so bad and just wish I could own something like this where it looks like a forest not just one tree you truly are an artist.
Hi Nigel Saunders , Firstly, my pick for the show (from 26 trees) are-- tree no. 6,7,8,11,12,14,16,17,19,23,25,26. 😍 Secondly, I feel the trees to be sent to the show must be selected by putting each one away from remaining in a plain background in order to analyse their unique features. 🤓 👍🏼
Most of your forest are very interesting some ficus and sprus nest, and there are many you have the choice of I trust your artistic side for the choices.
Nigel Hi. The drumming was great. I am voting for # 13 Larch, # 17 Spruce (Bird nest) and the ever popular # 18 Larch forest! All of your trees are looking good. I was wondering about your Royal oaks. I haven't seen anything about them?
I love that Avatar Grove. Number 12. Then number 23 and 24 for sure. Love those looks! Your forests are astounding! The other ones, 3,5,9,22,25 are the ones I like out of all your choices. :) You are a very artistic and talented man!
WOW! I didn't realize how many trees you actually had. They're so beautiful. This is such a wonderful hobby, isn't it? I hope you take the jade w/ cheetah, the bougainvillea, the african baobab depiction, the elephant planting, and the bo tree to the show. Thanks for such a great video. Always interesting.
And of course I'm commenting again I knew this was going to happen, it will probably happen again but this cedar clump is amazing everything you have is just amazing so so beautiful, again I just wish I could have something like this in my home. it would be like having a giant tree. Im new to bonsai and I am just interested in the fact that you can have this thing that is suppose to this he massive thing but is then made into something small that you can hold in your hands with out taking away any of the look of it actually being big. It looks exactly as it would if it were its regular size just small which is what I find the most fascinating thing about it. It truly blows my mind.
Nigel, have you done any updates on the ribbon root project? The one where you grew a tree on a board? Also, there was one with the temple, any updates on that one? I lol'd at your "...maybe..." when you were talking about the aloe. I've been getting into bonsai in a super easy and approachable way. All the little saplings around my house, I just have been playing around with clipping them and seeing how they respond. Maybe one day I'll dig one up. My favorite is an elm right outside my front door.
Maybe I am bias but I like the Africa trees ... Those "photo's" of the moon with the tree in front look so realistic ... I like the drummers thanks ... :)
Hello Nigel, i'm a huge fan of your videos! You inspired me to start growing bonsai trees and even growing some trees from seeds. Is it somehow possible to get the files of your 3d printed pots? I searched everywhere but could not find anything even remotely similar.
Nigel... I have a question after looking at this video and several others. I have a small tree in my yard that cats are destroying by clawing the trunk of it. It’s a small Japanese type. After watching several of your videos I’m prone to believe that I can turn it into a bonsai. It’s about 3 feet high presently. What do you suggest? There are some short limbs at the bottom about a foot up from the ground. I’m willing to take the top off and pot it. Can I send you a picture?
In the early days of the channel there was a black squirrel that came to visit, it was like a pet. That thing would jump all over him and roll on its back like a dog. It was on camera often, probably 2015 videos. Maybe Nigel can remind us of the name...
Where do you get the files for the 3d printed bonsai pots? I have a 3d printer and love bonsai, so I would love to print some pots. Especially the vietnam style ones with pillars! Thanks.
How do you keep dusty the squirrel from nibbling away your nebari and trunks? Gray squirrels are constantly gnawing on my trunks and ripping off nebari, terribly frustrating.....
Nigel I have a ton of our native Florida coontie palm seeds it's our only native cycad and they don't get large if you'd like some? You've so many awesome trees its hard to make choices, I love the larches quite a bit.
You should definitely take the larch forest, the bird's nest spruce, the single larch, the portulacaria forest and the Serrisa forest. You MUST take the Serissa forest.
Hey Nigel, I know this is not relevant to this video, but I have started growing some seedlings, Jerusalem pine, Norway spruce & Scott's pine, they were growing great & then all 3 Scott's pine have died, and the one Jerusalem pine seems to be dieing the same way, do u have any advice on how to save them?, while I still can. The two Norway spuces are fine so far also.
I keep the trees that grow aerial roots in the greenhouse during the summer, the temperature will reach 45 C and go higher if I don't keep the door open and do lots of misting. If I keep the humidity high, the plants are fine, but if the humidity drops, the leaves will droop on the trees in the hot weather. The aerial roots grow best in this really hot weather with lots of humidity in the air!
Hello i just have a question, i am considering growing a local squiggly gum bonsai. If you dont know what that is it is an Australian eucalypt, the larvae of a few species of moth create the squiggle effect. So i was wandering would this kill the tree or would they even come, if anyone has experience with something similar could you share your experience?
Love your videos man, have an orange tree at a couple apple trees I'm trying to grow from seed right now. It maybe too hot where I have them when I leave for work each day and turn off the air conditioner. Worse comes to worse I'll be on my way to Walmart or Home Depot.
I love your birds nest spruce it has so much character and style for a little tree. And the serrissa forest is an amazing example of uniqueness. Stunning.
I guess Im quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch newly released tv shows online ?
I can stay all day in your garden without getting bored 😍
Love the birds nest spruce, larch forest and avatar grove. Also like the schefflera and bougainvillea trees. Nice collection overall and great backyard. Keep up the great show Nigel!
Larch forest is my absolute favourite of all of your bonsai. And I'd think the bird's nest spruce and avatar forest would be lovely picks.
Also, very very cool concert! I'm glad you closed out with it. :)
The Avatar and larch forests are my favorites.

The sarissa man! And the one you said you’ve never shown before after 25 year. That was lovely. Great roots and branching!
whoohoo! Lots of green! So cheerful :) Hello from California! the aloe looks like a crazy octopus!
the beginning with music was so PRO. Soon we will be watching You in cinemas I imagine.
The avatar grove an the ficus microcarpa are great choises. Also the pine is very interesting. Good luck with the show.
So enjoyable! Tough decisions here, they each have merit...! What a fun ending too!! Loved it. Thanks so much for sharing!
After you finish your part of the video I started driving my Hilo at work. While I was driving I had to bang my steering wheel listening to these drummers. Very interesting. I really like how you recorded them with all those angles.
No. 12 is my favorite. Overall, looks awesome.
As usual, a great show. As I am a big fan of your work, I like almost everything in your garden. Still couple of favourites are...Serissa forest, Schefflera, Larch forest, and the Portulacaria afra forest.
Just rent the truck Nigel, they are all great!
an of course again the African cedar is just beautiful I love these ones you have that look so much like the regular sized trees.
Thank you Alex, I have fun with this planting!
I like your serissa and portulacaria forest. And I love your pink pixie bougainvillea
All look amazing but I really like to see how all your tree saplings are doing that started from seeds last year.
Great video 👌 loving all the forests. So many good trees though. Must be hard to narrow it down. Looking forward to part 2 to see them up close

been watching your videos since you were around 20k subscribers..... so proud of all your hard work :)
I remember you from way back when I was just getting going! Thanks for your support over the years Robert, many more coming!
yupp possibly not the last comment but number 23 (couldn't catch the name) is also an amazing pot. It again just looks like you went out into the forest with a miniature sizing gun and shot it at the trees.
Thank you Alex, this forest is featured in the next video!
love the drums thank you for the treat. the lark forest, the forest next to the small cheetah jade, traditional japanese styled, elephant forest, and the aloe thatll be unique. love your videos

Push the boundaries of bonsai. Enter the aloe!!
I love that Avatar Grove. Number 12. Then number 23 and 24 for sure. Love those looks! Your forests are astounding! The other ones, 3,5,9,22,25 are the ones I like out of all your choices. :) You are a very artistic and talented man!
#25! For sure. That's my favorite Nigel.
I like the austrian pine, the cerissa forest, and the ficus from seed which is your first tree right? Also the aloë for the variety.
I love number 17!!
Okay definitely put all 4 forests you showed, the big pine bonsai, and the lil jade.
I'm rooting for the aloe....it has the Cthulhu vibe. such interesting lines
And of course I'm commenting again I knew this was going to happen, it will probably happen again but this cedar clump is amazing everything you have is just amazing so so beautiful, again I just wish I could have something like this in my home. it would be like having a giant tree. You should get a giraffe or a pack of lions for the serissa forest .
lol and that moon really tricked me till the close up shot :D
I really love n. 2, 18, 23, 25.
It's long time you don't show your lemon tree. How is he going?
Congratulation for this channel, it's amazing
We are having a weird climate this year. It is only August but if I judge by the trees in my area, we are about a month into autumn.
Maybe I am bias but I like the Africa trees ... Those "photo's" of the moon with the tree in front look so realistic ... I like the drummers thanks ... :)

The tiny ficus religiosa...
terrific video. must be moon viewing time.
The Bob Ross of Bonsai also got a squirrel! Strange coincidence!
In the early days of the channel there was a black squirrel that came to visit, it was like a pet. That thing would jump all over him and roll on its back like a dog. It was on camera often, probably 2015 videos. Maybe Nigel can remind us of the name...
Damn,i should watch more of his videos then!
I think it was Dandelion
+Philip Clarke - Yes, that's right! Thank you.
What a nice steaming pile of compost ;)
Hey nigel been here since day one but I was wondering when you go to transport them can you show us the process?
Love your schedulers tree I think it was #14 must go in thanks for the video
Nigel, how do you get moss to naturally grow like that? Humidity in the greenhouse?
Hey Nigel, Since you are so into unusual bonsai trees why don't you try growing a coconut bonsai?
thats some view of the moon. have you ever updated us on the tiny scotts pine from the trunk chopping episode? id love to see how that one is doing
Where do you get the files for the 3d printed bonsai pots? I have a 3d printer and love bonsai, so I would love to print some pots. Especially the vietnam style ones with pillars! Thanks.
Put number 25 in it. That is a great tree!
Nice choice
I love the larch forest but I wondered what ever happened to the root over temple bonsai?
You have so many good ones
How do you keep dusty the squirrel from nibbling away your nebari and trunks? Gray squirrels are constantly gnawing on my trunks and ripping off nebari, terribly frustrating.....

Hello nigel great video.
This is something, you can’t procrastinate for. Lol
You are right, time is ticking away! I do have my trees picked now, it was nice to get lots of suggestions from the viewers!
Tiger bark ficus is a must for the Vietnam style lot.
You should definitely take the larch forest, the bird's nest spruce, the single larch, the portulacaria forest and the Serrisa forest. You MUST take the Serissa forest.
Bougainvillea will be my choice.
Just curious... do you keep your tropicals (like ficus) in the green house all summer, and if so, what temperature does it get to? Thx. Bob
I keep the trees that grow aerial roots in the greenhouse during the summer, the temperature will reach 45 C and go higher if I don't keep the door open and do lots of misting. i love No.7
Love your videos man, have an orange tree at a couple apple trees I'm trying to grow from seed right now. It maybe too hot where I have them when I leave for work each day and turn off the air conditioner. Worse comes to worse I'll be on my way to Walmart or Home Depot.
