As interest continues to grow from the pharmaceutical industry in developing drugs to treat Ataxia, we believe that collaboration among researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, and Ataxia patients is at a critical moment. Each of these groups must work together, as partners, to advance progress toward better patient care and more effective treatments for Ataxia. 2023 AAC was a place to connect, learn, and take action toward accelerating treatment development!

Thank you! Ataxia is a serious condition that is mostly overlooked by the medical industry. I started immediate symptoms of Ataxia after a stroke in 2020. Terrible, bad balance in both legs and my right arm no longer works properly. Cannot stand with eyes closed or eyes covered. Difficulty walking, can't bend my legs, squat, kneel, write or touch my feet anymore. Rheumatologist had no idea after extensive testing. The neurologist misdiagnosed me as having neuropathy. Much appreciation!
