Best stripped down and most accurate sounding tone review of the Dumbloid boost. Mine arrived yesterday and I tried it with a few different guitars. I got lost for hours laying down simple loops and playing over the top of them. The bonus for me me was finding out that the Boost can also be engaged without the overdrive. Thanks for keeping it real.
@@GuitarTonePro I got their Brown pedal and am waiting for their dumbloid vintage, amazing pedals! By the way I saw your brilliant video on the Automatone, amazing! I reviewed it too, it blown my mind... All the best. Mordi.
I’ll add that to my list to do in the future. It basically drops some bass and a lot of gain. I don’t really understand why anyone would use it on a gain pedal, but maybe if you’re switching between single coil and humbuckers and it’s your only pedal? Personally I use the boost to balance between guitars and roll my volume back for clean/lead tones.
@@GuitarTonePro Thanks for the reply. I was just curious on how dark/"fuzzy" it would turn on the BTM model, as compared to the ODS model.. but thanks for explaining. And yes, I got rid of all previous drive pedals and was looking to simplify.
@@popcorny11 Depends on how you use it I guess too. For me it drops too much volume/gain and I would find it easier to just drop the gain knob slightly when switching guitars. Then again when I personally switch to my McCarty from my Strat I want more gain and compression. Edit: I'll shoot a RUclips short and post it later today.

Thanks for the kind words!
fantastic pedal and sound. Thank you. Mordi.
The Dumbloid range can be finicky at times, but oh man does it sound good when it’s set right.

Thanks for the demo, would like to have also heard playing in the "jazz" dark setting though.

See new short.
@@GuitarTonePro Thanks a lot for the updates man, I actually went ahead to order a BTM (non-boost) after watching.
