Please keep the full sbk exhaust. It's not something you see everyday. Infact I've also looked for this exhaust on the internet, and I've never seen it. For you to have it on your R1M, it's a special thing.
As an R1 owner I'm very interested in your setup with the shorty. I think that the BMW, Honda, and Suzuki all get that small gp can and its sad the R1 doesn't, as I prefer the small can look. Was the short can the 2020 bmw s1000rr slip on from akrapovic? I am looking for a hybrid system like you had. I currently have the full evo system on my R1.

I stumbled across this channel, because I have a clown of a friend that owns an R1 and has an obnoxiously loud pipe. I hate riding with him. All I hear on Cardo is his bike. Motomillion and the things he said is the real deal. When he said "this is too much for me" he really showed me he knows what he is talking about. Clear, honest and scientific. Absolutely love Akrapovic systems, you know they've spent many hours testing each system and they'll give a lot of power, but with good torque throughout 🙂 I wouldn't be able to use that tiny 'silencer ' , too loud, underneath the rider's ear and it would be sacrilege !!
Sounds diabolic. For me, the best sounding 1000cc bike in the market. By the way, I have been with Yamaha motogp bikes a few times and they sound like this but even more, is crazy. The best sounding gp bike.
Trust me, it is very very very loud, it does not come out well on the video on how loud it is. The WSBK system is actually fairly high volume too on higher revs.

Glad you are going with the full can even the shorties looks better. I experience first hand the Evo with a shortie is way too loud. My friend had to buy the can afterwards because it was too loud for long rides and also some tracks with DB limitations won't let you use the track. Love the system.

@@Shrowllyhe bought the titanium headers and the AKRA shortie. But he has a S1Krr not an R1. I'm not sure if he still have the shortie. I do have the Evo system on my R1M and on my S1Krr M.
I mean its no big tittie teens but Mani sure has A LOT of information which I really enjoy :) Also that exhaust sounds absolutely incredible with the small muffler!!!

Nice video, I actually have the same exhaust system. I do believe Akrapovic designed this one for Superstock and the Superbike exhaust has a much shorter can.

We would like to be nice and not comment on that. There is a reason Akrapovic dominates the MotoGP and WSBK field, while some other brands as mentioned are missing in action.
Generally speaking you don’t need the anti seize on ti to ti mating. But the flanges that come aluminum with ti exhausts it is highly recommended. A lot of installers have had problems (caused by in experience) which has led Akra to send them pre assembled to a certain point.

Did you mount the titanium header covers back? I have to bend the bracket on the right side and had to custom make one bracket for the left side on mine. I’m sure a carbon belly pan would seal the deal.
The FIRST PIPE I agree its way to LOUD the performance Systeam is Quilty for a fact but really doesn't sound as aggressive with the BD killer in it sounds way better with the BD out. After I listen to the video in its entirety, I agree sounds Awesome can we see and hear some drive byes
too much information about WSBK in this video and i really like it, and I prefer the longer muffler because I think it will gave the more power to the bike at the top end compared to the shorter one... overall it is a great video

There is no specific name for it, we custom modified a few pieces to make it fit. It will not fit the non WSBK models either, you will need this specific WSBK header, collector/midpipe setup.

@@Motomillion when referring to a sbk exhaust they are very different the sbk bike uses different oil pan from the kit their exhaustis made for it and is completely different exhaust from that. It seems a bit misleading your title here.

Definitely was way too loud for us too. Also the power gains will most likely be present given the extra length of piping before the muffler.

The adaptor port matches the exhaust flow so the step up gives the strongest pulse back and would be tuned to a specific itb trumpet length.
Also the length has the other properties and helps with the exhaust pulses.

Mani, do you know why Akrapovic sends the headers put together when you have to take them part to put Anti seize?

It will not bolt upto anything off the box, there are brackets that you need to grind, etc...

No, this is what the provide to race teams only. This is specific for superstock class.
Will the stock can fit on the WSBK headers? I ask because I was going to buy one for my 2023 S1000rr.
This is on a Yamaha R1M, completely different setup than an S1000RR. Email us with your specific question for the BMW, and we can direct you better.
Akrapovics are really class apart in terms of refinement and power but for street use and deep sound I like the Graves or Austin Racings
We still would prefer quality parts over just noise.

It only fits the wsbk mid pipe, not sure what the exact diameter is but we can check. It may be 75mm though.

All wsbk versions for the R1 require a different oil pan to run the exhaust, can is shorter and some other features. What's going on here?
No they do not and this is an example. You need to be more specific, WSBK Superbike is as you say. WSBK Superstock is what you see in this video.
