You know it's a REAL talent when they don't just make songs about "love" and "breaking up". I mean look at the lyrics! All of their songs sounds like a poetry with deep meaning when you read it.

Khoi Vo well their songs always have double meaning but for me it's about two individuals that try to be together while "everyone" around them try to tear them apart. They are weak, but they survive because they have each others.

Well, I mean, a lot of their songs are about love and heartbreak. It's just that a lot of mainstream music presents those subjects bluntly. The artists tend to say exactly what they mean, and there's nothing wrong with that. Of Monsters and Men though... they take it to another level. The depth of their metaphors literally give you chills. I agree with you, they're so amazingly talented.
People criticize popular songs about love or breaking up. While personally I don't like those songs, I still think those singers have a right to make them. If they have gone through a break up, they can express it as they wish - it probably makes them feel better

@@vallokey6567 That music you're referring to is primarily dance music. So it's more so made for dance choreographies, clubs, parties, etc; Not exactly artistic expression. Granted, it's not my cup of tea either, but who am I to say it's not okay to like it? That kind of music has helped people through tough times like this music helps us. It just connects to a different audience and that's okay. Have a wonderful day.

I love the symbols of each song and the actor .The visuals to some people might be lacking but to me it is the simple video that inspires me the most .The video of the man with snow on his beard was actually pretty beautiful and artist.

Huh, I always assumed the line at 2:19 was "you prey on my heart", but the lyrics here say it's actually "you pray on my heart". I wonder whether that was intentional, or just a typo?
