For me, the issue is that the show relies entirely on the "will they or won't they" and they've dragged it out for way too long. Much like with Nisekoi, the show is inevitably going to end in disappointment because the longer you milk their relationship, the greater the pay off has to be. And let's face it. There's no way there will be any satisfying conclusion with how long they dragged it out.
Only problem is that Nisekoi at least had enough charcter interaction and decent enough humor to carry you through. Here Kazuya interacts with 2 maybe 3 girls at a given time while those left are off screen and don’t show up until another girl leaves. Plus his interactions are basically the same with Kazuya just being a simp.
Once in a blue moon, I like to just read the newest chapter, but then always go back to read the ones leaning up to it. It's like new age Simpsons (except the last 2 seasons). You never really enjoy it, but it's enough to keep you engaged.
I kept hearing this about the Simpsons so I decided to watch some new episodes for the first time in a decade and it was legit. The Simpsons are good again despite some episodes being a bit hit or miss. The ones that do land are almost up there with some of the early stuff albeit different.
Reiji is just waiting for right timing to weasel out his own self character in the story which is Umi to be paired with Chizuru, ultimately cucking Kazuya. This is the reason why that fuckboy character is still in the story and avoid being rejected in his last appearance because Reiji's planning to make Umi win the FMC in the end because of some circumstances where Chizuru felt she can't be a real girlfriend for Kazuya. Reiji can't have Chizuru since she's just a fictional character but him writing Chizuru with Umi will be his self satisfaction. Afterall Umi has similarities and details that's directly connected to Reiji. Umi was introduced wearing a beret. Characters in manga who's career is manga artist are being stereotyped wearing berets as it was a fashion from Osamu Tezuka and Fujiko Fujio which all mangaka adapted. Umi's surname is Nakano, which is also the name of Reiji's hometown. Umi's past time is playing football, which also Reiji's favorite past time sports. The timing of chapter 218 which includes a sex scene of Chizuru and Umi who's still wearing that beret and Reiji's tweets about Chizuru are awfully timed together. The way Reiji treated Umi's character unlike all the other characters, Umi was never written with flaws like he's got none aside from hints of being a womanizer treating girls like nothing for his own amusement and attention. He's being treated special by Reiji. For sure Reiji will write it make Kazuya is the reason why Chizuru failed her investigation so people will only blame Kazuya. So Reiji can make Umi a "reasonable" end game partner for Chizuru. Reiji for sure has no intentions to make Kazuya win the FMC because Reiji's jealous of his MC of his story. And this is the reason why the story doesn't progress because of the author himself.
Found you from the CotN video, apparently we have the same wife? Really digging your style of commentary, will be tuning in for the next vids. Lots of Kanokari videos out there but none that brings out the intimacy issue as clear-cut as you did. Now I will type 2 more paragraphs for no reason; that's 2 more than this show deserves. If I wanted to be more cynical, I'd think that for Reiji, whether Kaz behavior is unhealthy or not is also an afterthought. Feels like he just came up with a romcom gimmick (rental relationship becomes real), added in cute waifu cast, and just ran with it. Then the manga started selling for some reason, so he started stretching it more and more, and tried to write longer-term narratives -- but like the movie stuff, a lot of it ends up quite superficial. Do his drawings really carry that hard? Does his JP demographic relate to Kaz? Is Reiji lost in his own sauce? Who knows, but I think he knows by now that most of his audience doesn't engage with the story super or at all critically, because it's much harder to enjoy when you do. Unfortunately for my dignity, I will now admit Kanokari was the first manga I binged and started reading weekly. As of now, it's still pretty stretched out will-they-won't-they, if not worse. For what it's worth, (spoilers I guess...) Reiji has recently toned down the date interactions with the female cast other than Chiz, and even the rental mechanic. He seems to be trying to hone in on the Kaz-Chiz relationship and on Chiz. I think he wants to sell the idea of Chiz actually liking Kaz in a less ambiguous way, but it's proving hard, since he kinda wrote himself into a corner ~100 chapters earlier. That's all for today! Fuck you Kanokari I'll see you next week!
Hot Take: RaG wasn't all that terrible in the beginning, dare I even say it was good. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT If we are to look at the begining with no expectations, we see a guy who is depressed, dumped by his only girlfriend and down on his luck which usually makes for a good protagonist, because we want to see how he gets out of it. He misses his girlfriend and.... (Well if you take out the cucking fantasies) he wants to move on but at the same time he wants Mami back, despite her being terrible to him and that's honestly relateable, longing for a toxic ex lover to change her ways and come back, wanting to redeem herself and live happily ever after, despite how unrealistic that is, so I can buy that. I can also by that he effectively orders a prostitute to go on a date with him (call her what she is) but even Kazuya knows that it's an act, despite how much he wishes it wasn't. Chizuru then wants him to undo the bad review which escalates everything and there was surely a better way, on top of being literal next door neighbors and never knowing, eh, I've seen worse. I can work with a bad plot, provided the characters are good (Bleach and Fairy Tail are great examples of good characters but bad plot that work out well). The audience isn't stupid, we know that Kazuya and Chizuru and gunna end up together by the end of it, its the whole point of the story. Kazuya begs Chizuru to stay with him for the grandmas which is also fairly weak, but at this point, I don't hate Kazuya, and thats because of how pathetic he is and how cold Chizuru is. A good protagonist is flawed and makes bad decisions because that evolves into characeter development. What makes it better is how caddy Mami is, who is embarassing Kazuya publically as she sees him with a new girl. Again, suffering leads to likeability. Mami doesn't want to be with him again, she just doesn't want him to be happy because of how shitty she is and Chizuru stands up for him. However, both Kazuya and Chizuru know that the charade cannot continue and they stage a break up... but then, and I mean but then, a legend is born in anime history as Kazuya's friend, BECOMES WINGMAN OF THE CENTURY. That scene made the series, like that was peak. I had never seen such a bro of a wingman up until then, actual chef's kiss, but it gets better. Chizuru falls off the boat and Kazuya jumps in, nearly dies to save her life. At this point, it would be logical to assume that Kazuya is learning how to be a man and evolving as a character. At this point I was invested, I wanted to see what would happen, how their relationship would change, how they would individuall change. Would Kazuya grow a spin and learn to be a man and would Chizuru stop being a shallow bitch? Would Kazuya tell Mami to fuck off and that he doesn't need her anymore? No... That isn't what happened... Instead it becomes a Harem and the other friends get a Rent a Girlfriend who falls head over heels for Kazuya for no apparant reason. I'm not gunna point out the plothole of no one realizing that Chizuru beings a RaG especially after the friend rents on, but the true plothole is Kazuya not sleeping with whats her face. This man is a still a horny loser and now he's loyal to Chizuru? SHE STILL TREATS HIM LIKE SHIT DESPITE HIM SAVING HER LIFE. AT LEAST MAKE IT SO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DATES, SOMETHING! The main problem is that Kazuya and Chizuru remain stagnate to prolong the series, when it could have ended around the 12 episode mark after the ocean rescue. Kazuya could have been a good character if he realized that to get a woman like Chizuru, he needs to man up and better himself, he could go to the gym, learn confidence, learn how to stand up for himself and become a man worthy of Chizuru and Chizuru could learn the value of empathy, understanding everything Kazuya did for him and see him for what's on the inside and that he's actually trying to better himself (if he did) and that he's at least worth respect, maybe give him a chance. AND THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD! REALLY GOOD! If that was the case, I garuntee that we would all praise RaG for it's characters (not its mess of a plot). However the author himself is just like Kazuya, a horny loser who wanted to legally marry his own anime drawing, so its to be expected that a man who hasnt matured out of his loser phase could write character who would also do the same. RaG had potential, it was there, despite the plotholes and overuse of coincidences, provided that the characters were good, but that wasn't the case. Rent a Girlfriend became trash, the very second that the second Rent of Girlfriend enter the picture. We all know how Harems work, only one woman has writing and the others exist to uwu over the MC, which means they're a waste of space and ink on paper because they don't develop which is which a vast majority of Harems are trash, but RaG didn't start off as a Harem, it became one because the author doesn't know what the sky look like nor has he had a conversation longer than 5 minutes with an actual woman.
The "rent a girlfriend" service does exist in America. At least to my knowledge a fellow co-worker of mine rented one for the company holiday party. Just for appearance sake
You are right. But I have seen 3 Seasons and I am waiting for the 4th one. I completly agree that this is trash ... but man I am glued to my TV to watch the next chapter. Looks, is like a spell. What I see is that even thou it is so hated, it is so loved at the same time. What can I say, expecting something to happen here is just wishful thinking.
You like it because you see yourself in that protag, and are now addicted to it and desperate to see what will happen next so that you're fantasies might be fulfilled or not. Pathetic
This caught me off guard, great video. That's what i would say if...! Just kidding great video, i was specting to make that thing of the silhouette of a character on a stick, but i guess that's an Zaregoto/novels/no anime media thing. (Maybe I'm wrong, tell me if I'm wrong, but i remember you doing that thing of the sitck in the Mashle video, buy I don't remeber). Also, pls make always a rap at the end, is freaking awesome
thanks for the kind comment ^^ i tried out a different editing style for this one that ditches the drawing and popsicle stick stuff for something more akin to my old editing style, just more polished. it kinda fit the tone of the video. for zaregoto theyll always be a thing tho, and probably for most shows that i actually like
I wasn't really paying attention to the background music but then like halfway through I was like "hold up is that lemon demon" and I had to go back and skim through and listen to all the background tracks and dude. may I just say good taste 👍 you should do a playlist or something
This thing would likely make its way in incel forums, and even there the incels would hate on Kazuya and fully proclaim that they'd be better than him. And I dare say they're right. Real life incels have more sense of dignity and self respect than this freak. I fully agree with the sentiment of wanting Rent a Girlfriend to continue to be this specter over the anime community that haunts them for the end of time. I think this anime is the embodiment of the majority of things that are wrong with the anime community. The vapid emptiness of throwing anime girls and moe at the screen like dangling a set of keys in front of the audience while giving them the illusion plot progression is being made. The never ending cliches. That at this point I am so tired of and hate. The incredibly backwards and sexists views and borderline parasitic relationships between men and women. Has no one ever noticed that the most popular animes in the past decades were those that do... something different? Shocker I know. Those that go beyond. Those that try something new. Those that try to elevate the medium of anime to a new level and even more so, those who focus way more on telling a good story and good pacing with romance on the side if there is any. Good romance anime exists. It's just like not even finding a needle in a haystack. It's like finding a slightly lighter colored speck of dirt on a vast mountain. Romance is the genre that has the most literal shovelware out of anything in the anime industry. And manga too. Seeing those hundreds of thousands of awful romance anime on listings is kind of like seeing those shovelware Wii and Nintendo DS games for me. Where for some reason if something exists, there is a Wii or DS game for it. Those awful quality things that only exist to generate revenue from clueless grandmothers who buy a cheap game for their grandkids, money laundering schemes, or both. That's how I see the majority of romance anime.
I forced myself to watch the show and tbh I really liked the third season because it focused on the main plot of making the movie for Chizaru’s gran and the relationship of the two main characters. But yes the first two seasons are bad and the plot doesn’t go anywhere until season 3. Also yes Ruka does nothing for the plot other than cause probs for Chizaru and Kazuya butt. Idfk I like Ruka leave me alone.😂
Unfortunately I'm at the latest chapters of the manga and I don't even know why it's the only manga I've read aside from manwhas oh and I've read call of the night
At the time it really became popular, and the anime came out, I dropped it because of its trailer, and I used to read webtoons at the time while thinking they weren't that bad. It was my "boyfriends"(the webtoon) era and I loved anything with a good art style, and I still dropped "rent a girlfriend". This should say a lot.
The way you explained how the writing was on the wall from day 1 is kinda vindicating. I have the same opinion for a show called Star Vs. The forces of Evil. The already present issues got worse and I think ppl only ignored it cus they just assumed it would get better/the redeemable aspects were distracting from those flaws. Seeing ppl claim the show GOT bad felt so wrong. But I also can’t fault ppl either. Re:Zero is proof that shows can have a long term end game with a character slowly changing. So I can understand why ppl would hope other stories would be re:zero in this regard.
So, Re:Zero only getting the third season now, but THIS got 3rd season and not stopping. Oh, yeah, forget Konosuba, forget No Game No Life, forget Re:Zero, forget Sonic X( well, it's somewhat an anime), forget One Punch man, THIS GETS A NEW SEASON AND NEVER STOPPES. FUUUUUUUUU-
Quick summary of the main characters: Sumi: an innocent kawaii little girl who is so shy to the point where she has communication issues, and even tho she doesn't have as character development as the others, she deserves more. Really I wish she end up with a nice guy. . Ruka: the sexy and slender short haired girl, and also the MC's girlfriend that is very VERY obsessed (for no f**king reason) for the MC and she gets really frustrated every time another girl is around him. But is clear that this relationship is very toxic, pushy unnecessary to the plot and the most important, not mutual (from MC's side) Mami: the blondie of the show who puts a mask of kindness and gentle-ness, aka devil's little sister. The MC'S toxic ex, (that the MC could not forget about her and he was just emotionally crushed as usual) who wants to destroy everything the MC is trying to do with his crush without any explainable reason. Also she's obnoxious and over dramatic... Chizuru: the main heroine of the show. She wants to be an actress so she decided to work as a rental girlfriend. She is strong, demi-tsundere and very mature. At first glance you see a smiling and nice girl, but this is just a camouflage for her job. She wants everything to be perfect for her as she is working. She never leaves her emotions and always put a strong mask under her feelings, even when her grandma died... She is also the MC's crush. AND NOW.... Kazuya: the MC. The most pathetic, emotionally damaged, clumzy, cringy, immature, pitiful and hated harem MC community has ever met. He is insecure for himself and has so many self esteem issues that he behaves like a baby, crying over little things like there is no tomorrow. He is horny as hell (don't even get me started at his pink fantasies), a HUGE simp for Chizuru and an obnoxious piece of sh!t. 350+ chapters and he is still not able to confess his feelings to her. (And btw they keep secret the whole rental girlfriend thing from his family or else his grandma will be upset). But the problem with him is that he doesn't seem to have even the slightest sign of changing himself. He spends most of the time just dazzling over Chizuru for how cute she is and he makes so dirty ass fantasies for her being naked or having s€x with him etc. Aka irredeemable, from any side. I want your opinion about all these.
I think there are chiefly two types of hate that Kazuya gets. Firstly, from men (most likely young boys), who are upset with him because he's not manly enough or whatever and he doesn't fit their idea of a self-insert that would allow them to experience their power fantasy, which seems to be the only reason a lot of people watch anime in the first place. Secondly, from people who are upset with the stalking incident and every other thing they find perverse or disgusting about him, and often lump all those things together, even though there is a massive difference between, say, his sexual fantasies and his bad acts, like the stalking thing. But Kazuya and RaG have been associated with incels and misogyny, which is less about RaG and more about other things, in my opinion. This line of criticism is also often very performative, people feel the need to condemn anything that's bad without trying to understand the character or the context, without empathy or finding joy in fiction that deals in flawed and complex character but doesn't say that such characters are irredeemable. Kazuya isn't the only character who does shitty things in the story, but he's the easiest target for hate, because he's the protagonist, and because he's male, which arguably makes the shitty things he does, like the stalking, more offensive because of the power imbalance and how it's a real thing that a lot of women have to deal with. Not that men can't also be victims. But like it's been said, while the show treats the stalking as a mistake, it doesn't treat it with the creepy realism of, say, a certain sexual situation in Chainsaw Man. It's also the fact that RaG is so popular, with a title and concept that's offensive to many, that makes it more of a target than a lot of other shonen romances that have similar things in them.
I gonna say this unprompted, I recommend you guys watch The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You to wash off the filth that is RAG.
me and my friend have a seasonal podcast where we watch the first episode of every show airing in a season, so ill def be watching at least an episode of it. heard its good and have seen some funny panels
Bro, I stopped watching after episode 1 because I hated the protagonist so much. Then I read a bunch of Japanese reviews of the manga saying the character was still the exact same spineless worm many chapters later. So yeah, thank god for Japanese amazon reviews.
Coming off of just binging it. I feel like the first season through second seasons were okay. First episode to upset me was season 2 9ish. It's mostly downhill from there. Character growth plateaus and regresses in others. It's a lot of squandered potential as I found the concept interesting in the beginning.
Its taking so long because the creators of Rent of girlfriend developed a romantic feeling with the FL Chizuru. He doesn't want the mc to fall in love with Chizuru.
0:47 God how much I want and wished the manga and anime to be that story. RAG for sure has potential to be great. Could've been a story where Kasuya learns to grow and improve as a human being, and by the end of the story becomes someone worthy of Chizuru's or any girl's affection and love or perhaps instead grows to a point and becomes mature enough to realize that perhaps Chizuru will not be his real girlfriend or romantic companion but can still be a good friend to him, and the story ends on that mature note (bittersweet bitter because Kazuya doesn't end up with a girlfriend, but sweet to know that Kazuya has grown as an individual is mature, and is someone worthy of love and affection and that he still ends up as good friends to Chizuru). Like I mean how much of an amazing story could that be. I really wish the story could go in that direction. But no, instead the author seems to have grown jealous of Kazuya and has started simping for Chizuru (the fictional character he created) despite having a wife and child, so to never lose Chizuru he continues the story and prevents Kazuya and Chizuru from getting together. (If this really is true, oh my god, please Mr. Author san get help bro (I mean this in a helpful postive advice not to be a bully) please see a therapist or something.)
Mfs saying “the only problem is that the story don’t progress”, like no? But y’all say it like it ain’t already a big problem that would be detrimental to any other series 😭😭
I watched season 1 and i have never watched an anime and think "well this was a massive waste of time" In my opinion, by far the worst romcom ive seen in a while
I always have a dream that transformer movie series never ever ends and so we can all say ourselves “Look, we made THIS. Maybe the first one was fresh and good, after ones are not. We are THAT stupid”. Rent-a-girlfriend became my another dream. I want this to continue like berserk EVEN after miyajima rei rest in peace, while we are in the hell he and we both created.
Blame the author and his obsession to Chizuru why the story doesn't progress. He's waiting for that right timing to make Chizuru paired with the author's self character in his story which is Umi
@@CJD_X All the videos talking about this does is say "this is bad because the MC is pathetic" Nothing much else. They can make me laugh all they want but i know that's all they're saying
To be fair, most of the audience of Rent-A-Girlfriend wouldn't fare much better than Kazuya. In fact, he does way more in the series than most guys his age who are watching the show. People generally hate the thing that reflects them the most. The hatred for the series says more about the ones watching it.
Yes thus I hate tge rapists thus I am a rapist. You know why this logic is absurd. Yes people hate the others with their flaw but people hating Kazuya isn't a red flag
I'm curious why you made the comparison to Only Fans rather than to irl sex work? Especially when there are those who offer "the girlfriend experience".
i think both onlyfans and sex work are valid comparisons more or less, but i felt onlyfans was the less extreme, easier to justify comparison that would get the most people on board with my point, since onlyfans' conduciveness to parasocial relationships is far more widely recognized

I couldn’t keep going on the third season I can’t lie 😅
You like it because you see yourself in that protag, and are now addicted to it and desperate to see what will happen next so that you're fantasies might be fulfilled or not. Pathetic
had to sub after hearing both super paper mario AND pmd2 music in the background. excellent taste in video games
Also, pls make always a rap at the end, is freaking awesome
thanks for the kind comment ^^ i tried out a different editing style for this one that ditches the drawing and popsicle stick stuff for something more akin to my old editing style, just more polished. it kinda fit the tone of the video. for zaregoto theyll always be a thing tho, and probably for most shows that i actually like
Thank god i finally got sick of the series. The manga just got so insanely offensive I couldnt even
dropped it because of the rubbing of backs (apparently, the melons, peach and inside out as well) with chizuru and the grandma
“It was always bad if you know what to look for”
Right I’m going crawling through your tweets now, prepare to get cancelled 😈
dont check the old quote book, whatever you do
Unfortunately I'm at the latest chapters of the manga and I don't even know why it's the only manga I've read aside from manwhas oh and I've read call of the night
At least mami is the hottest character in this dumpster fire, am i right guys?
At the time it really became popular, and the anime came out, I dropped it because of its trailer, and I used to read webtoons at the time while thinking they weren't that bad. It was my "boyfriends"(the webtoon) era and I loved anything with a good art style, and I still dropped "rent a girlfriend". This should say a lot.
the author should’ve just made kazuya his self insert so we could finally get some progress in the manga
Umi is the real self insert of Reiji here not Kazuya
The way you explained how the writing was on the wall from day 1 is kinda vindicating. I have the same opinion for a show called Star Vs. The forces of Evil. The already present issues got worse and I think ppl only ignored it cus they just assumed it would get better/the redeemable aspects were distracting from those flaws. Seeing ppl claim the show GOT bad felt so wrong.
But I also can’t fault ppl either. Re:Zero is proof that shows can have a long term end game with a character slowly changing. So I can understand why ppl would hope other stories would be re:zero in this regard.
I do disagree on hoping it goes on tho. The animators deserve to sleep and live their lives, and that’s of more value than whatever RAG is.
this is a very high quality youtube video
So, Re:Zero only getting the third season now, but THIS got 3rd season and not stopping. Oh, yeah, forget Konosuba, forget No Game No Life, forget Re:Zero, forget Sonic X( well, it's somewhat an anime), forget One Punch man, THIS GETS A NEW SEASON AND NEVER STOPPES. FUUUUUUUUU-
Quick summary of the main characters:
Sumi: an innocent kawaii little girl who is so shy to the point where she has communication issues, and even tho she doesn't have as character development as the others, she deserves more. Really I wish she end up with a nice guy. .
Ruka: the sexy and slender short haired girl, and also the MC's girlfriend that is very VERY obsessed (for no f**king reason) for the MC and she gets really frustrated every time another girl is around him. But is clear that this relationship is very toxic, pushy unnecessary to the plot and the most important, not mutual (from MC's side)
Mami: the blondie of the show who puts a mask of kindness and gentle-ness, aka devil's little sister.
Me personally, I'm a 1 trash anime kind of guy... girlfriend x girlfriend supremacy! You cant make me touch this hot mess
Rent a girlfriend is the best anime of our lifetime.
Did I hear lemon demon at the beginning? OMMMGG ATAYYAYAYYYAYAY
Bro, I stopped watching after episode 1 because I hated the protagonist so much. Then I read a bunch of Japanese reviews of the manga saying the character was still the exact same spineless worm many chapters later. So yeah, thank god for Japanese amazon reviews.
Cruncy... give the mini pfp fanboy the pin of shame. This aint fair.
Do it man. 😭
I only just watched the first episode on crunchyroll dubs a couple months ago and I didn't think it was the worst thing imaginable
Watching this video though it definitely sounds like I want to gouge my eyes out with pitchforks
Coming off of just binging it. I feel like the first season through second seasons were okay. First episode to upset me was season 2 9ish. It's mostly downhill from there. Character growth plateaus and regresses in others. It's a lot of squandered potential as I found the concept interesting in the beginning.
Rent a Girlfriend is dead to me after Episode 1
Its taking so long because the creators of Rent of girlfriend developed a romantic feeling with the FL Chizuru. He doesn't want the mc to fall in love with Chizuru.
isn't that just a rumor ?
We're gonna get GTA 6 before this manga ends
Was that an Onimai reference at 0:22
There is no character development of kazuya i hate this man
i wish i showed more but they cant fit too much in 12 episodes
same. I dropped it after 2nd episode I think
What happened in that kazuia Sean?😮
Comic girls does deserve a 2nd season, no cap.
PREACH
Mfs saying “the only problem is that the story don’t progress”, like no? But y’all say it like it ain’t already a big problem that would be detrimental to any other series 😭😭
Mini Yaemori > all, she saved the show for me lol
Wait, this shit already had three seasons? What?
2:53 I still stand ti'll the day I die that imosae is an eromanga character copycat. Doesnt deserve a s2💀
CYANARA YOURE SO WRONG ABOUT IMOSAE THAT I GAVE YOU THE "WRONG ABOUT IMOSAE" ROLE ON MY SERVER
Duck me. I am part of the problem
I watched season 1 and i have never watched an anime and think "well this was a massive waste of time"
In my opinion, by far the worst romcom ive seen in a while
the author of this manga deserves to be in jail
I think rent a girlfriend is a train wreck it’s like a train derailed for this rent a girlfriend anime and plus I never watch because it’s garbage
I watched 1 episode and hated it lmao i knew this show was trash from the start yall are just now catching up to the truth
Bruh what are with these comments getting pissed off lmao
Its written as Otaku Trash, what did people even expect?
When i first watch it i kinda like it until the short hair girl apear😩

Why is it bad and why everybody hates it 🤔
watch the video to find out
Are rental girlfriends the teen equivalent of geisha?
Nope geisha are like actress OIRAN is direct term to describe rental girlfriend job
@@saratoga4126 that's some cursed knowledge you've bestowed upon me.
Sometimes, I am reminded that the average weeb has just as bad taste as everyone else
Wtf is this anime ? Heard of it a long ass time ago
Freiren has a better romance than this and that's not even the main focus
I always have a dream that transformer movie series never ever ends and so we can all say ourselves “Look, we made THIS. Maybe the first one was fresh and good, after ones are not. We are THAT stupid”. Rent-a-girlfriend became my another dream. I want this to continue like berserk EVEN after miyajima rei rest in peace, while we are in the hell he and we both created.
this shit is worst than naor, yeshayau, and and alona combined
wait the girls name is mini? is she a furry?
i got the reference, even if nobody else will...
nice video, still not going to ever watch or read this
The only bad thing about this show is that the plot doesn't progress and that's it.
honestly the plot stagnating is the least of its worries imo
Blame the author and his obsession to Chizuru why the story doesn't progress. He's waiting for that right timing to make Chizuru paired with the author's self character in his story which is Umi
@@CJD_X All the videos talking about this does is say "this is bad because the MC is pathetic"
Nothing much else. They can make me laugh all they want but i know that's all they're saying
@@MacronLacromA bad mc is a very bad problem. Also considering how he never changes. Hes the same as he is in chapter 300 than he is in chapter 1.
and the characters are fucking awful

To be fair, most of the audience of Rent-A-Girlfriend wouldn't fare much better than Kazuya. In fact, he does way more in the series than most guys his age who are watching the show.
People generally hate the thing that reflects them the most. The hatred for the series says more about the ones watching it.
Yes thus I hate tge rapists thus I am a rapist. You know why this logic is absurd. Yes people hate the others with their flaw but people hating Kazuya isn't a red flag
same type of guy to say “You don’t like _____? Well why don’t you try doing it?”
im glad i dont watch anime
Haters gonna hate. Over 11 million manga copies sold as of July 2023
at least hear out my points bro
not sold more like copies now in circulation

Everybody Hates Rent-A-Girlfriend
As it should be
I'm curious why you made the comparison to Only Fans rather than to irl sex work? Especially when there are those who offer "the girlfriend experience".
i think both onlyfans and sex work are valid comparisons more or less, but i felt onlyfans was the less extreme, easier to justify comparison that would get the most people on board with my point, since onlyfans' conduciveness to parasocial relationships is far more widely recognized
